It was... simply outstanding! Animation was top-notch, music was well-chosen coverd alot of manga and ended in perfect moment. They even managed to make Aizen not look like a whimp. I haven't enjoyed bleach that much in months.

it acutally backed up the idea ichigo could defeat aizen

if you pay attention first Isshin says he cant sense Aizen.

then ichigo reveals he can sense it and isshin says just as i thort you can sense him.

good episode purple eyes are epic shows he aint hollow but another being

The episode was pretty good in terms of animation and emotion set up for Ichigo and his training. Though I still think that Isshin was downgraded a bit in the manga and anime and didn't use Bankai, though I thing he could do practically the same Ichigo could do.

Ichigo defeating Aizen isn't BS, but the way the fight was written was. Aizen should have done a lot more to delay his defeat. Ban Kai for starters. I don't even like him but that fight left a lot to be desired. I wonder if the studio will attempt to stretch it out with lots of filler given what little they have to work with.

Anyway I like the pacing of these later episodes. Things are moving along nicely unlike the top 3 Espada fights which felt just as stalled out as they were in the manga. This episode confirmed my theory that Aizen's body inside cocoon mode wasn't solid but either liquid or just energy. Thats how he survived exploding from inside out and how he seemed to pull the spirit cuffs right through his wrist. It didn't make any sense how he could come back so easy from self-detonation and yet get wrecked by FGT. His physical makeup had to be drastically different during transformation. He did say that his soul was reconstructing, afterall.

Wow...another badass episode! I loved the animation, dialogue, etc. Couple points of interest...

I'm glad they put more emphasis on the fact Ichigo can "understand" Aizen's power (pretty sure that means he can still sense his Spiritual Pressure) and therefore alluding to the fact he is on par with him.

I'm still not really clear on why Gin was trash talking Ichigo like that. Was it to show him he's not ready to fight Aizen, or was he just being a dick?

The filler talk was interesting. Gin mentioning GT from Isshin was unexpected, but really showcased the lack of (interesting) powers from Ichigo/Isshin without Bankai (which he should have used, along with Urahara/Yoruichi and Aizen later.)

Aizen's eyes are purple?? I thought in the color page Kubo did his eyes were black/grey ish with silver/grey irises. Not complaining, they look sick anyways.

FGT training next time, so you know who is showing up...

The people who animate bleach are unbelivible. They have made us suffer through so many filler arcs and slow cannon episodes with filler content. Then they downgrade and episode by using two manga chapters, and speeding through some parts such as the second half when there is no need.

Like they made no effort to make Isshins Getsuga attack epic at all. Whoever is in charge of the directing is not very good imo, and bleach has always chose bad times in where they put content. .

This episode overall was good. Darn the filler fighting but since the manga chapters this episode is based on were not full of content besides fighting, it's understandable.

I have to say that recently, the animators have done a good job of animating Hougyoku-fused Aizen. He gives off a mysterious but still fearful vibe in his scenes.

I also have to agree about the Isshin using Getsuga Tenshou comment: it did seem the animators went through that kind of fast. In the manga, Kubo made the scene of Isshin using Getsuga Tenshou epic considering it was unexpected seeing that both father and son have the same attack :blink . But in this episode, Isshin using GT seem so normal, that he had used it before.

Anyway, I can't wait for the upcoming episodes as the plot heads back to Karakura Town and its inhabitants ;)
