Hello, I am Warrior of Garalzja and I have liked manga and Anime a lot. I'm kind of a writher since I was young(er) and have come up with an (from my point of view) original idea for a manga. The problem is, I can't draw at all. I'm trying to learn but I have no real talent. I really want to share my idea so thats why I'm contributing to this forum. Now for a summary of the story:
We live in a world where there are 2 kinds of magic. Nature magic, the art of controlling plants and life, and necromancy, the art of controlling the death. In a distant past there was only nature magic, however the seven most skilled nature mages found a new way to preform magic. This was necromancy. There leader found that it is possible to extract energy from humans and animals to access a plane different from ours.This is the place where you go when you have doubts or haven't finished the purpose of you life. The necromancer than makes a contract with the spirit so the spirit will go to heaven when the contractor dies. The contractor takes the place of the spirits he has contracted. The leader of the original seven had nothing than good will with this and wanted to free the spirits. He only extracted miner energy's from people and never killed anyone. However, among the other six was a men with an impure and war-seeking heart, that wanted to use and master this new technique to crush his enemy's. Eventually he gained support from the other five through lis and blackmail. A war started between the six and the leader (who also is the strongest) in which al seven die and go to the necromancy realm.
This al happend long before the main story started. In the current world necromancy is banned, but commonly preformed. the nature mages and the necromancers are still in war and whenever a necromancer finds a nature mage they fight, with death as a common result. the main heroine is a necromancer, but different from the others. she is one of the strongest and the only Necromancer to have found a way to extract necromantic energy from plants instead of people. She goes to school with her sister and keeps the fact that she is a necromancer hidden from everyone. one day there a exchange student enters her class. This student is a skilled nature mage and part of the the zealot police of the nature mages. He develops an interest in her and decides to visit her home after school. There he finds out she lives in a cave with her ghost sister and sees her preforming a necromantic ritual and attacks her. the girl, also interested in him tries to mainly dodge the attacks, buy after she is hurt her sister protectively attacks the boy. After a while the girl screams "stop!" to stop them and raises her trump card, a dragon riding undead knight. He appears to be the leader of the original seven necromancers and explains the boy about necromancy. The boy sees that his actions are wrong and that he should base his actions on facts, and not what he assumes. he and the girl take a liking in each other and want to establish peace between the two warring sides of magic. They have to follow a long road and fight the "fallen" six, who now control the majority of necromancers. the other Zealot nature mages are after them as well, thinking they are just common sinners.
This basically is the story. In the series there blooms a love between the boy and the girl as well. Some additional info:
Both thee nature mages and the necromancers have got "pets" suiting there personality to help them
not all of the "fallen" six are bad. There are some jerks in the nature mage ranks as well.
A ghost is the strongest normal form of undead creatures. It is almost impossible to make one and only the most gifted necromancers are capable of raising it. To raise it, you have to fully absorb the energy of two loved ones and use it to capture the spirit of a third. In the girls case, this were her parents and her sister. Ghosts can become corporeal and use beams and melee attack techniques. Furthermore, under the ranks of the undead are: Liches, powerful beam magic users, and capable of putting curses over the enemy, ghouls, which are the strongest melee users, but cannot use weapons or magic. ghasts, which can become invisible, zombies, who are slow but strong, and skeletons, which are fast but weak. This list can be increased with new creatures, such as undead (mythical) animals. Undead creatures have to go back to their realm when the necromancer runs out of power or when they get hurt to badly. Ghosts are an exception. Necromancers usually don't keep there spawns out.
The girl is a happy, active (but not hyperactive) and careless girl which loves nature. Her parents and her sister were gifted nature mages and she accidentally absorbed them when she wanted to show her skill. She has great regrets for her actions and loves her sister very much. Her undead creatures are: one of the seven, the dragon riding leader, her ghost sister, who never goes to the undead realm, and a battle axe welding skeleton. I mainly see her appearance as a green, blue or brown/black haired, with a little skull in her hair that copies her facial expressions. She wears a school outfit even outside of school (she gets comments on this but says she prefers them, with a slightly angry and cute touch). I see her as the light in the darkness. Her partner is a penguin, were she receives many comments on, since it is a very strange pet especially as a necromancers pet but as a nature mages pet as well. She keeps the fact that she is a necromancer hidden and is the only necromancer capable of extracting energy from plants.
The girl's sister is a ghost. She is quiet and passive, and when there are other people around she wears a lot of clothes. She loves her sister very much and holds no grudge of whatsoever against her.
The boy has a decent view on reality and is a gifted nature mage. His parents and brother where Necromancers, but he ran off and joined the nature mages when his brother absorbed his dog, his only friend. He has a dog as partner. He mainly uses the "quick grow seeds" and "manipulate tree branches" abilities but can use a sword as well.
The six clans of the Necromancers are based on the animal of the fallen one that is in control of the clan. There are the clan of the tiger, unicorn, eagle, (giant) centipede, octopus andSnake. The snake is the leader of the fallen ones. Later in the story the clan of the dragon is also created by the girl. This clan consists of both nature mages as well as necromancers and fight for peace, freedom and balance.
The world from the story has mainly nature landscapes, there are some big cities as well however.
There are modern gadgets like cellphones and electricity, but no cars or guns. The weapons consists of just swords, axes, bows and such.
The necromancers can use beams of energy (and darkness) as well as curses. Curses can weaken enemies, leave them unable to move for awhile and such.
I hope this was enough info about the background and the story. To make it clear if it wasn't, the girl, her sister and the boy go on a journey together.
