another chapter of waiting ...

I wonder if we are ever told why ukitake knew about that badge in the first place and if anyone could have known that this will happen ( fulbring via badge i mean ;) )

Iam talking about why he got it from SS in the first place ...

Oh damn he won't awaken them on this chapter :|

But it's a start! He started remembering Rukia :D

And I'm thinking that the text the TL is talking about is probably the symbol on the badge.

Let's wait and see.

Yes!!! ichigo./!!! remember!!!

Remember what it was like to not be a little bitch.!
Remember how awesome zangetsu is, remember how totally epic it must have felt to unleash getsuga tenshou!!!!

reclaim your zanpaktou ichigo, restore yourself, reclaim the power to protect and revel in it.
master your shinigmai, master your hollow, absorb new hollow, be all that you are supposed to be and never act like this little whiny bitch ever again.

Regain the eyes you had when facing aizen.
And then once you do that, find rukia and knock dem boots buddy! Knock dem bootz!.

Another epic faill chapter in a long line of others. I am really getting tired with doll house crep and running away from teddy pigs ... What is next bankai baby doll Ichigo? Got i am so tired of w8ting for Kubo to start putting something good in this manga ... If only we could have another SS arc again...
I really can't understant why Kubo puts material that can be on 1 page in 19 ...

Well good thing the latest episode in the anime with God Ichigo vs Aizen was so incredible...

Before we complain why not wait till the chapter is actually released. It Seems like Kubo was trying for a cliffhanger. I agree with sarutobi_Sensei. It looks as though the bankai symbol was coming from the x and skull on shinigami badge. Ichigo seems to be remembering the relationships with his friends and possibily from that remembering why he always wanted to protect them. If anyone has noticed he hasnt really been that close to anyone since he lost his powers. Chad himself said he couldnt bear to look at him in his pitiful state. so maybe his powers have a basis with his feelings for his friends. sounds a little stupid but possible considering the fight with grimmjow where inoue screamed for him to not fight or get injured. I agree that the ss arc was the best but i still like where this is headed just its taking a little longer than expected.
Why do people have to keep posting in this forum about the numbers of posts, we get it already it has less posts.

I'm interested now.
As usual, the pace is extremely slow (although, I would say that awakening the power in one chapter is quite fast!!), but I'm ready to give Bleach a chance.

I think people are just frustrated and it's not like we can go into work or wherever and vent about bleach and not look strange...at least here, we know we have other people that will either agree or disagree, but at the very least understand what we're talking about. We've been starting from the beginning for a while after being led along for so many chapters during the arrancar arc...and then having to FINALLY wait for the new arc to begin, and then once in the new arc, to have to wait for something to happen. It's not like the very first episodes where we have absolutely no clue as to what bleach is and what Ichigo is capable of...we've seen it...we've seen his ultimate form, so just forgive people if they're a little frustrated right now...the fact that they're posting pretty much means they're aren't going to stop reading it...

As for the spoilers, I'll have to wait for the issue to come out, otherwise I'll end up posting some frustrating comment as well. We haven't heard from Urahara and them in a while, so if/when Ichigo gets his power's back, then what? Who's the villain? Who will he fight? And where's his father? Did his father go through this? If so, then we know his powers will be Shinigami powers.

Gogo Ichigo pseudo-bankai mode!

anyone notice the little "heart" on his jacket that is seen in the pictures at the end of the spoiler? Was that there in the last chapter?

Doesnt Isshin always wear hearts on him all the time?

another link to his father perhaps having more to do with this than we though?

We still havent met the "rich" Fullbring person right?

Is it Isshin? If not, where is he? They have some major talking to do, and it is vague whether they have even spoken of what happen against Aizen, and Isshin is seemingly missing during all of this...maybe he is missing SO that Ichigo had to find these people and have no one else to turn to...if he is the RICH guy its a weird round about way to get him to figure it all out, but i woudlnt put it past Isshin

I understand what your saying union98, however i find it less appealing to post when there are so many negative comments let alone read them. But back to the chapter, i was wondering why his fullbring would take on the bankai symbol. Ichigos zanpakto had the same symbol on it. This leads me to wonder if his powers and his bankai are the epitome of all bankais. It obviously is the most powerful of all of them maybe except for the cc but we havnt seen his. Will his fullbring be similar to his bankai then? Or is this his shinigami powers being returned? Maybe he'll be able to shoot getsuga tenshous like a cero without a zanpakto.

I've been following bleach for too long to give up...its just the involuntary loyalty inside of me..besides that last panel on the spoiler image actually looked pretty cool...I agree with people saying its been slow and yea not too many people are interested in discussing but so what..It is what it is. People are complaining but still want to read for the same reason i still come back and read every week..somewhere deep down inside you know you need that bleach fix :P

I honestly don't understand why people want things to be rushed. Seriously, when it's slow, it's slow, when it's fast and rushed, it's fast and rushed, basically for most people, they constantly complain about the pace of the manga. If you want something better, then go make one manga yourselves.

Honestly, it's just plain frustrating to see people constantly complaining about the same thing every week.

Consider this the beginning of a new manga. Would it be boring? We've got like 10 chapters with 17 pages on this new arc. If we had 10 chapters with 40 or 50 pages, well yeah, this would be extremely slow pacing, but it's released on a weekly base, not a monthly one.

What I'm trying to say is: be patient. The arc just started, we just saw what they seemingly want to do. We don't know anything about them, their powers, their purposes, Ichigo's dad, who attacked Ishida, Karin's connection to Urahara, where's Yuruichi, what has happened in Soul Society etc.

There are still a ton of things to be explained and explaining things takes time.

Plus there is still the issue from the end of the SS arc when Ishida saw the badge and was intrigued by it. It was a clue for what's happening now.

for me its not a matter of slow or fast...its simply how much longer are things dating from 2005 gonna NOT be answered? realistically speaking the only way to defend Bleach is to say "its ok every single question or situation thats been left up in the air will all be explained in the last arc" but hey sure id actually appreciate even hearing that much from Kubo as for where we stand right now it doesnt look like anything will ever be answered and yet here we are now in what seems like a completely new scenario at such a pace that seems so agonizing for example it seems as though whats happened in the last 4 weeks could have easily been condensed into 1 and a half chapters

it is what seems like a blatant disrespect for fans like not even a real attempt at hiding the fact that the chapters are all being stretched out until lets say those last 2-3 important pages that are only there to make sure you come back next week.....

is this how you're supposed to feel every week when reading a new chapter like" oh man the last 3 pages made it seem really good"

that line gets overused after weeks upon weeks of it being the same thing no? i guess ppl coimplain alot because the evolution of bleach seems backwards whereas most other mangas the story begins simply and progresses into something deeper and more complex as the reader begins to be more familiar with concepts and terms and thus no longer needs long explanations about certain things...it seems to go the other way with Bleach and now there's so many pages of just buildings or nothing its rivaling Gantz in the sheer amount of pages with no writing in it and hey that wouldnt even be an issue

HOWEVER Gantz was never meant to be all complex story type (tho it has recently turned in that) it was mostly pure sex and violence and the author made no qualms about hiding this fact....yet in Bleach we were lead to believe from the start that this is a deep story with many complex aspects to it so i guess we just expect more out of bleach and when we dont get more well it can only mean dissapointment on a weekly basis...perhaps kubo set the bar up too high for this story from the get go....ah well enough rambling

so without further ado:

this chapter was slow but hey that last page seemed interesting...........
[hr]

wow what's wrong with kubo???! that ichigo emblem is nazi shit...

hehe chapter 436 and this is the first time you've ever noticed this? (Ichigo's sword hilt (bankai) has always been a swastika...or whatever many uses of the symbol throughout history u wanna go with)

This is going faster than I expected. Looks like Ichigo will get his powers back next week (please), since he's being cheered on by Chad this week and willing himself to do it. Instead of complaining be grateful that this didn't take 10 chapters.

February 09, 2011, 10:22 AM
Just to add, it is also a buddhist symbol. This arc is probably trying to show us that deep down ichigo loves being a shimigami as it gave him purpose in life

i predict ichigos true fullbring will be fullbringing his own zanpaktou, which will manifest zangetsu in a real world, like stabing that doll when he did bankai training

February 09, 2011, 11:07 AM
There have been so many theories about what his Fullbring could be. The Zangetsu one seems like the most likely, although Kubo could do almost anything. I think in the end it will have to do with other people's weapons, not just Zangetsu. Ichigo "loves" fighting, and he is able to "communicate" with other weapons - he even did so with freaking Kyouka Suigetsu. So its probably going to be him reading THE HEART of enemies weapons and using their powers for himself.

Not bad at all, some interesting line in the spoilers. When this arc started, and we saw Ginjou with shinigami badge, I thought the badge would play a role in the story. I actually took quite a while to locate Ukitake and Ichigo's conversation about the badge.

Wondering what pride has to do with Fullbring. We already see Riri talking about Love and Fullbring. I think it wont be long when we see some developments.

Actually it's not a Nazi Symbol but a Hindu symbol. It's been there since forever. And it's an inverted one by the way.

Btw someone mentioned the heart in Ichigo's shirt, that's from Riruka when she allowed him to enter the Doll House.

thejager
February 09, 2011, 01:30 PM
oops... isaw the heart on his jacket and thought Isshin..but i forgot that the Fullbring girl put the heart on him to get him into the doll house...

still i think it may have some connection to Isshin..

sarutobi_sensei

They are not. It's been in the freaking anime since the beginning. Even now it's there.

A swastika isn't a Nazi symbol, it's an Hindu symbol. And Tensa Zangetsu's is an inverted one.

I don't think Ichigo regaining his powers is such a big deal. First of all we all knew about it since Ichigo is the main character and Bleach is a manga about shinigami: a main character not having the main of his own manga would be retarded. Even within the plot it's obvious shinigami can regain their powers after becoming their zanpaktou: Isshin is there to prove that.
It's more interesting to wonder at what level he will regain his shinigami powers... if they're on mugetsu level I wonder who will be able to face him. I mean butterfly Aizen looked like a total noob in front of mugetsu form.
Restoring Ichigo's powers at a level pre-mugetsu... with the hollow mask and such would be boring. I mean we lived with that get up for years, it should be time for a change: I hope he gains Ichigonator's powers at least, and his mask too, since it's much much cooler than the flat one! :tem

Hmm little dissapointed but still happy that the manga is still moving forward ...

Hope he gets a really different power from the one he had before . I mean his old powers were gr8 and all , but they just lacked versatality . All he did was hack and slash then get more reitsu and repeat the cycle .

I just with that he gets a power like maybe uhm like lieutanent with the curved sword has [which increases weight or something] . I mean instead of just going in to kill , have to prepare for his attacks somehow or cripple his opponent for a better aim .

im really excited about this chapter, the spoilers are rather vague so once the scanlated chapter comes out i will be able to judge. I think ichigo will regain his powers swiftly because I dont think isshin as a 'distraction' was brought up for nothing.

@sarutobi_sensei

Ur post seems to imply that Ichigo can't remember Rukia, but the only thing that has changed is that he can't see shinigami, ghosts, and hollows. He asked Orihime how Rukia was doing, to which she replied Rukia was too busy in S.S. If u didn't mean this, but you were simply saying he finally thought of her then w/e i'm sorry that I targeted you. lol

@thejager

The "heart" on his jacket is Riruka's "permission" pass into the dollhouse, it has nothing to do with Isshin. I doubt Isshin is a Fullbringer since he was a previous captain, but I bet he and Urahara know about them. It would be weird if Isshin has Fullbring but it could prove Fullbring to be hereditary, since we haven't seen Masaki get attacked while pregnant with ichigo, we simply know that Grandfisher killed her.

Well anyway +1 to those that guessed he would use Fullbring at the end of the chapter, I wanted him to use FB but you could tell Kubo-sensei would end the chapter like this since last chapter he only figured out what his object was.

I'm really looking forward to seeing if the shinigami badge is special like everyone else is saying or if its only because he always had it on him, for example if he had Isshin's charm on him at all times could it have been his catalyst instead? It's very interesting. Kind of reminds me of totems in Inception.

Manga is moving slow but just like others stated this is because everyone has expectations. Bleach is just like a new manga now, soon enough there will be action so for now enjoy the slow chapters. If you really want slow then read Katekyo Hitman Reborn from beginning. When I got into Reborn! I fell asleep several times while reading the first 80 chapters or so.

Can't wait to see what Kubo-sensei comes up next! The "Ban" symbol was very unexpected. And to all the IchixRuki lovers (yea DarkBankai I'm lookin at U!) IchixHime FTW!! >:D

Umm Yea nothing has been proven that Isshin was a previous captain..Link me and correct me if I'm wrong..The only mention was somewhere around chapter 185 when Isshin fights grand fisher and talks about being "captain class" not a captain himself...His Haori is not like anything we have seen in the gotei 13..and we dont know whether he was ever in the gotei 13 or not..I'm having my doubts about him ever being in soul society period.

True it's never been stated that he was a captain, nor did anyone point him out when he fought against aizen. But I believe he is either a previous captain or maybe part of Squad 0. Kubo-sensei said he would elaborate on Isshin more in the future, so its just another thing to look forward to.

Kubo said Isshin was a part of Soul Society in the databook, so he probably was a former Captain. I don't think the squad 10 Captain from the past was shown either so it could have been him.

And to those shippers out there. Yes, its the Valentines issue and Rukia gets full-length panel. But who got the cover? :eyeroll

i find it funny how people complain that other people are compalaining that the pace is too slow. well, i agree with both sides but anyways, i wonder when ichigo gets his power will rukia come in some how and the others. the arc would be more interesting that way, by the way this is goning ichigo won't tranform his powers until the end of the next chapter.

I'm not complaining; but I think this isn't the first time Ichigo's gotten some sort of pep talk about "keeping his resolve/taking a stand". (He should be doing a caramel dance/having a "gLee" moment in his head b/c life sucked without his powers.)

Well yeah the pcae is slow but the chapters are at least getting better, from the looks of the new power it had the symbol of his bankai's hand guard. It would be awesome if ichigo can bring sword blades from his hand like when he did the final GT.

@ IsshinNamikaze - I said remember cause he seemed to not be able to remember her face when he was dreaming about her, Renji and Byakuya. Sure he never forgot her, but just like in Full Metal Panic Sigma when Sousuke says that he can't remember Chidori's smile and face it doesn't mean that he forgot about her.

Sure, Ichigo remembers her, but he just wasn't able to grasp her image until now.

And I do wonder why Rukia never came back to the real world. She could use a Gigai. Maybe SS doesn't want to interfere with Ichigo's life?

true, nothing has proven it, but why else would he wear the white captain's shroud (or jacket or whatever you want to call it)?

http://www.mangafox.com/manga/bleach/v21/c186/21.html

granted, he wears it differently, but he has one.

So it's not unreasonable to assume he was a former captain. or former royal guard. He was somebody important, for sure.

Ahh ic where ur getting at here, I'm sorry but the way you wrote it out in the previous post just sounded like you thought he forgot bout rukia, which kinda irritated me. lol

but I've also heard of ppl who wondered y she didn't use a gigai either. I think everyone has been busy training in S.S since aizen and I think they have also been busy on straightening things out there.(electing captains, running errands,etc.).
Would it be too much to ask for Rukia to have learned Bankai? Even though the use of Bankai is almost obsolete.

EDIT: just read Serenade's post..Thats interesting..Didnt know kubo confirmed Isshin's time in soul society.. thanks for that..

Anyway back on topic, does anyone think the badge may have its roots from Urahara's time as a captain? He's been known to create some pretty amazing stuff in the bleachverse, maybe he has some connection with it..

The fuck? So chad was using fullbring all along? I guess that kinda explains why chad's power resembles that of a hollow but in turn it does seem a bit weird still. Doesn't it seem different from using an actual object? And didn't chad's power come from the orb? Or perhaps the orb just allowed him to access fullbring more easily? And what about orihime? Her power is clearly more similar to fullbring but her shun shun rika in turn was already stated to be a part of her soul and similar to an actual zampakuto. Let alone the similarity of her power to hachi's. Something is very off....

The talk about isshins haori got me to thinking about ichigo and him having similar zanpakto. Isshin has a smaller zanpakto than ichigo which was stated many times that it shows their strength to an extent. Ichigo is obviously stronger than his father for three reasons i can think of:
1: He's the main character
2: His condensed zanpakto is still several times larger than a normal one including isshins.(Maybe its because its always in shikai or that he hasnt learned to condense it like isshin told grandfisher)
3: Isshin obviously stated hes in a weakened state and he couldnt sense aizen whereas ichigo could.
That leads me to ask what isshins final getsuga tenshou looks like. Itll definately be weaker than ichigo's since ichigo clearly is the strongest form thus seen. But itd be nice if we get back story on isshin and how he lost his powers. looks like we'll have to wait till ichigo gets his powers back and beats it out of isshin. lol
This chapter i feel set the tone for the chapters to start to pick up. I hope ichigos power blows that stupid dollhouse and stuffed animal to oblivion! I think be best to just give him his powers back and have him learn on the job because training doesnt suit ichigo all that much. Thats been constantly shown since the beginning. So if kubo has more training it will slow the progression down by alot. My guess is 1-2 chapters and this training is done and well get back to the more important things like isshin and the rest of ichigos family. Then another ultimate bad guy which sounds cliche but there'd be no story without one.

I actually enjoyed this chapter. The butler guy's power (rule making/conditions) has been used before in different series (Fairy Tail for example), but never actually involved time. He seems like the last guy to fight because even if you do win, depending on the condition he set, you can burn as well.

I assume the Orb's just amplified Chad's fullbringer powers now that they are explained. It would also explain why he said he felt more at home in HM (the orb's location was there.) My only qualm is the female (forgot her name atm). She's quite annoying and I do wish authors would stop using the bratty female archtype in their series.

lol i was late in posting my last one haha. I noticed that his fullbring actually looks similar to his kuroi gestuga tenshou. maybe he throws it and it cuts people down and itll return to him like a boomerang. Just a thot lol. but i wonder what his power is associated with. Chads is pride, Butler is Time, Riruka is things that are cute. We still dont know what ginjou's is based on and the other 2 people. Would it also be pride?

It's nice to see Chad actually doing something useful.
He's been rather neglected in the past arcs, and now that it seems it will be the "Fullbringer" arc and that he's one, we might see more of him.

And now that he understands his power, there are a lot of chances that he can improve them even more.
I'm thinking by the end of this arc we will see a Full-Armor version of his ability.

I certainly hope to see him more.
I like him a lot more than Isshin or even Orohime.

So did anyone watch the latest bleach anime episode that came out tuesday? It's way easier to see the hilt on Ichigo's blade in the anime than in the manga (IMO)... but the symbol shown on the last page of this new chapter looks EXACTLY like the part of his sword when he aquired the final getsuga tenshou... so yeah, next chapter Ichigo will probably definately have his powers back or something close to it! Do you guys think Ishida's bow is fullbring too? I mean the bow looks just like his symbol he has or whatever.

This chapter was pretty good, though I have some problems with it.

1st thing this chapter revealed to us was Giriko's Fullbring. Interesting enough it is the power to create provisos with a time limit on things and if they are not met the object gets incinerated into nothingness, his power is called "Time tells no lies" and it sounds cool enough, but rather long.
It's usefulness isn't known yet since we don't know many things, like how he puts a requirement on something. For example could he have destroyed the hougyoku by putting a time limit on how long aizen used it? We don't know.

2nd thing which is kinda irritating is that we found out Chad's catalyst is his skin because of his pride in his blood. This seems ok enough, but watch a fullbringer come along claiming his catalyst is his fat, or maybe their hair. Hell thats a good one if Chad has his skin, why couldn't Ichigo have his hair since he got bullied when he was young because of it this could be plausible.

Btw since Hueco Mundo made Chad's power stronger would it also make other Fullbringer's powers stronger?

Anyway Ichigo seems to activated Fullbring but I really hope next chapter he actually uses it. I can see it now, Ichigo looks up then asks chad "now what?".
btw did anyone notice how the badge looked different in his hand when he used FB?

And I found it funny when he was thinking of times when he had pride in his shinigami powers and they all were when his friends were crying and when rukia said goodbye. I was like lolwtf?

So the buttler guy has power over time? His power kinda reminded me of orihime a bit. Orihime has a goldly power of sorts, she can altogether reject events. This guy in turn has some sort of power over time. He can set a number of conditions and kill the target should they not live up to them. Still, this whole fullbring thing is getting kinda weird. Where exactly does fullbring fill in with the whole hyogoku thing? More importantly, since chad is a confirmed fullbring user, I think we can assume SS does not know much about it. When chad was training with renji we saw urahara wondering about what chad's power really was. He had no clue, all he could discern was that it was similar to a hollow's power. If urahara did not know what fullbring was then I really can't imagine other people in SS knowing about it.

Ichigo has also regained his spiritual power but he does not seem aware of it though. It is kinda weird since he should pretty much be able to feel things around him such as other people's reiatsu and see ghosts. Perhaps he was in a similar state to a human who had spiritual awareness but had yet to awaken it? In that sense, perhaps fullbring training was meant to get ichigo to fully awaken his reiatsu so that they could get on to the next stage which would be to awaken ichigo's shinigami power. Interestingly enough, if ichigo does get fullbring there would not really be a need for him to get his shinigami powers for a while considering he could easily be very powerful with his normal reiatsu and fullbring. Wonder why ichigo never displayed super powers when in his human body in the first part of the manga though. It seems kinda weird.

As for chad, based on how his fullbring seems to work I think the whole full body transformation is a possibility. His brown skin is all over him so it should be possible for his entire body to transform. Perhaps kubo would even go some other way about it and make chad figure out he has his grandfathers coin and he cares for it and use it to transform it into an armor. Chad must have gotten a pretty big boost in power since he learned about his ability being fullbring also. He had the speed to blitz a former espada and added the extra time and more importantly the ability to manipulate the ground then he should pretty much be a speed beast.

i have a feeling Kubo will have the Fullbringers incorporate their abilities in different ways in the future. Kutsuzawas ability seems pretty evil......I liked this chapter. Turns out its not the coin, but his very own mestizo blood that his abuelo taught him to take pride in that lets him use his power. Makes more sense then the coin actually...

Yes, Ichigo has a weapon and it looks awesome. Shuriken? Or will he just swing and slice with it?

Chad was really cool this chapter, finding out his skin is the source of his power was and emotional moment. Confessing that he has always had pride in his appearance and never shame. To me Chads character had a big development this chapter, the timeskip really matured his old quiet personality.

Giriko was very interesting, kind of a sinister side. Ulterior motives maybe?

And my favorite part was Ichigos memory of Rukia, most notably that it was fading. Considering that she was most likely the thought that activated his ability we could consider that Ichigo is truely on his way to being in love with her. At the start of the arc I was thinking that he was thinking of Orihime..

"FULLBRING IS AN ABILITY OF LOVE YOU KNOW"
Er you forget that Riruka said its the powah of love

It would seem that Ichigo said there were too many times he felt pride and couldn't chose just one...then he used the power of lurve because he remembered how he felt when Rukia left him

The pride was the times he was a hero but that pride wasn't the catalyst. Chad's pride was born out of love for his grandfather
Kubo is a really big IchiRuki shipper:D

Love the chapter--Time Tells No Lies. I like that...

@ Whomever said it...Tensa Zangetsu has always had a hilt that had the Buddhist symbol on it. It just got bigger after he came out the Dagai

I don't think that's Tensa's hilt but a new weapon...or Ichigo will be able to transform things into Zangetsu or a weapon that lets him use Zangetus power but looks differently. Does that make sense

I guess I don't mean thinking literally but it seemed like he was entering the point of giving her a chance. Their interactions looked to be 'closer' than before.

His goodbye to Rukia was so incomplete that they both have to have a lot of unresolved feelings. His relationship with Rukia is a lot closer, Orihime is still kinda on the outs.

@at OD

I guess I don't mean thinking literally but it seemed like he was entering the point of giving her a chance. Their interactions looked to be 'closer' than before.

. Did it? It just looked like Orihime could speak without stammering an Ichigo was the same as he's always been to me.

It's just every power up or time Ichigo really wanted power--it concerned Rukia. You see him thinking. You see his inner world he tries to talk to his weapons

In HM arc- he didn't do that once---Ulqy blew hole in him then he was walking dead

This is no diffrent than his resolve to face his hollow after Rukia was gutted like a fish. Or when he wanted his powers because Rukia was back in SS. Or when he finally turned into a Shinigami because Rukia came and kicked his ass. The first time he finds out about his dad...he says how much her words means to him. By word, deed or thought...it's always only Rukia. This is quite normal. Just because people occupy the same space doesn't mean that they will get together. Orihime is friend. Just like Ichigo said and Rukia is more than a friend. This chapter should prove that. Because his times of pride were his family and friends but the image for saving Rukia is the bright smile he gave her...you see his feelings for her then when he can't choose..he suddenly Remembers Rukia and that's when he can get his powers. Happens all the time.....

I just love the little heart on his chest...given to him by Riruka but it's like his heart is there for everyone to see--symbolically that is.

I think Orihime's words "It may be impossible to feel exactly the same way as another person but you can still keep them in your heart" shouted "Friend Zone" and "It's because I said HELP ME" (Ichigo gets a hard on for words like "save me":amuse) ..when Ichigo's reasons for gaining power were numerous and and said it's because Rukia important and not because Rukia needed saving--should clearly say where his heart lies but I guess some people need to get beat more than once with the IchiRuki stick before they get it...so we get some in this chapter too

I am an IchiRuki shipper merely because I love who he loves and it's not Orihime. It's not really emotional for me. Not like say....Alto and Ranka from Macross. If he loved Orihime I would ship that but it's really CLEAR to me that he doesn't and looks like he never will so I don't ....

A few posts on here got me wondering about ichigos fullbring ability. So Chads is pride, Butlers is time, riruka is love. So ichigo i will guarantee and even put money down on it, his fullbring will be "Protect". I imagine his fullbring ability will have something to do with shields or force fields or something. Just my take on it tho.

My prediction, is that he pulls out tensa zangetsu...I mean the shape that is coming out of his shinigami badge reminds of zangetsus hilt at his final bankai form. I hope its not a shuriken type thing, this is not Naruto. Also, he is remembering being a shinigami, so if anything, if its not his shinigami powers, its representative of it. I still like Ginjous sword better tho.

is it me or does his fullbring might be something "swastika-esque" ?
rather odd, but on the other note i hope it does have something to do with zangetsu (everyone who wants to bash on "he's not a shinigami or hollow points" just shut the hell up, not interested on arguing about that).
If it's not, then better be something more kick ass!
Agreed with some comments made about chad having a more important role this time than the past arcs, wonder if he will take on the form of zangetsu, ya know something similar to what chad has with his el giganto (forgot the rest of the name).

@OD Ichixruki maniac much?

I don't know if ur being serious or not,
but Ichigo never said "Oh there are too many times I felt pride,
mmmm Rukia so smexy power of love bitches!!!"

I was loling at the fact that he said there are "too many times he felt pride" and all of the things he remembered were when his friends were hurt. His recollections didn't seem like it was all times when he saved ppl. Unless someone can list each recollection. I can understand him having pride in saving Yuzu-chan and when he saved Rukia. For example I can understand for Orihime it would be saving her from her brother but couldn't a picture of him attacking Orihime's brother or something be a better representation then her sad face?

also the translation seems to be a bit off in some chapters, so it might be screwing up some key points. But overall I think Love can sometimes be someones Pride. Emotions are a very difficult to understand, but I think the key is to have a powerful feeling whether it be love or pride.

LAST PAGE.

I was wondering exactly how much the object used for fullbring affects the power it has. I am not talking about the overall shape it has but rather the innate abilities the fullbring will have. I doubt ichigo could use fullbring on the pocket watch that guy had and use the same ability. In that sense, even though fullbring uses objects the most likely scenario is that the abilities it has are innate to the user and overall independent of the actual object. However if abilities depend on the user and not the object then abilities would have to be innate and characteristic of the user. In that sense, you are simply using an object to project a power which was already there, you are not using a power which was already in the object.

If my theory is correct then it would explain the swastika seen in ichigo's fullbring and in his tensa zangetsu. If using fullbring means the user is using an innate ability or power, then it would make sense that for ichigo using fullbring means tapping into zangetsu, his power. Basically, the abilities of ichigo's fullbring will necessarily have to be similar to his zampakuto abilities because zangetsu, who is ichigo's innate power and abilities, already holds all of ichigo's power.

I get the impression that the purpose of fullbring is not to give ichigo an altogether new ability but rather it is a plot point meant for ichigo to tap into his power and fully awaken it. Fullbring is the mechanism by which ichigo will come in contact with zangetsu once again thus regaining his shinigami powers. Of course, this would mean ichigo is not longer limited to fighting as a shinigami though. As long as he has fullbring he will be able to fight either as a soul or as a human, he won't need to leave his physical body behind.

Awesome chapter, I like the butler's ability. It is frightening and nice to see how Ichigo unlocked his fullbring. I also think 'Pride' isn't Chad's power, but something they all have in common. They aren't proud of their hollow heritage, so showing pride in those powers would be ironic. Anyway, prediction is simple: Sword will be brought out, Ichigo will defeat the Yakuza and the next part of the training will start. If Fullbring users lose their power after a training like this, both Dollhouse and Time will disappear.

This.

You've read far into that last panel. I don't disagree with who Ichigo ends up with, rather i could care less.. Love is a bottled up emotion that has no limits and boundaries.

Please... I think the name Fullbring itself tells you alot about what it is. "Full" meaning something of vast quantity and "bring" probably to do with inner self.

So basically bring ones true inner self into the outer intervention,

I agree with the guy who said everyone has their reasons. Ichigo's is definitely not love. Its protecting the one he loves and not RUKIA<> she is a major part but this is A shonen where love never played the grand canyon.

He protects those who he loves and therefore he needs to succeed. This role is getting really old and kubo needs to save himself.

Next chapter better not have 20 wasted panels of nonsense. All that explanation should've been explained in 3-4 panels.

@BleachOD

I can understand if u listed all those things to backup "your" reasons for liking IchiXRuki for you to say that you only lke IchiXRuki because it is canon and kubo-sensei is shipping that idea, then now u are really pissing me off.

First thing that proves ur a idiot is the fact that Ichigo doesn't always think of only Rukia, and/or thinks of her last always. In Grimmjow's fight he told him that he wanted to save Chad, Uryuu, Rukia, Renji, and ORIHIME. To which she got all big eyed.

Also he thinks of Rukia as a sister, since she sleeps in the same room as him in beginning chapters(IchiXruki hate right here no real basis). Rukia is only special in the way that she is the one who gave him the power to fight, just like he influenced Orihime and Chad the power to fight.
She is somewhat of a senpai in concerns of being a shinigami.

Also I'm pretty sure to say Kubo-sensei has no intentions of pairing Ichigo with anyone. Ichigo is dense when it comes to the ladies and he really doesn't care about that type of thing yet. Orihime likes him, Riruka likes him, that's it. Rukia has never been proven or hinted at to be in love with Ichigo. And Ichigo doesn't favor any of his friends over each other including Rukia. If anyone needs help he will save them no matter what, it doesn't matter who.

I admit I am a IchiXhime fanboy, I wish it would happen, I will think of useless reasons that back this idea up, I will fight IchiXrukis to the death , but I know that Kubo-sensei is not shipping anything. That is why u really piss me off.

This discussion shouldn't be about Ichigo's relationships but about the chapter so anything else said on this subject I'm just gonna ignore.

But that last page made me interested in the next chapter.
Maybe that manji will envelope Ichigo's body, marking it as some sort of spiritual tatoo.

Ah, i was sleeping during the strap thing on Ishin's shoulder discussion. Renji used one very similar after breaking out of jail to rescue Rukia. And it didn't have his vice-captain badge on it.

why do people keep calling ichigos recent form his jinzen? Jinzen is simply the act of conversing with ones zanpakuto.

other than it led into his final getsuga tensho, we don't really know anything about that form. I like others assume it was a result of zangetsu and ogihci merging.

I agree with you, I think ichigos FB will be a sword, and the badge flared to life with the awesome blackness of tensa, so im thinking its like the hilt of his sword. Next few panels from next chapter should be the badge completing the sword,

My concern is if ichigo uses his sword to smak the bear, then does the bear turn to ash in time? and if so, does that turn of the timer? can ichigo leave the house after that without getting crushed by time?

The time FB is still a little confusing, he said if either ichigo or the bear leave the house in 15 min they get ashed by time? hmm. weird setup.
Like so what if they stay in the house for 16 min. does the requirement disolve? can they safely leave after that?

Also,, IchixRukia!!! his badge flared to life after his last thought of rukia, not sure if the panel implies that she makes him proud to be a shinigami, or if liek riruka, ichigo has love for rukia and being a shinigmai that awakened the badge.

Props to chad for helping ichigo.!!

decent chapter this week, too.

So it's not only Riruka's ability, but also the old guy's ability.

Ichigo needs to be put into extreme conditions like these to awaken his powers. Good that it hasn't changed.

Hehe, the swastika of his bankai appearing means a lot imo. He is one step closer to finding his full bring powers. But how will that help him get his Shinigami powers back?

I get the impression that the purpose of fullbring is not to give ichigo an altogether new ability but rather it is a plot point meant for ichigo to tap into his power and fully awaken it. Fullbring is the mechanism by which ichigo will come in contact with zangetsu once again thus regaining his shinigami powers. Of course, this would mean ichigo is not longer limited to fighting as a shinigami though. As long as he has fullbring he will be able to fight either as a soul or as a human, he won't need to leave his physical body behind.

If your theory is true then that pretty much mean ichigo could spam mugetsu because it wouldnt take his fullbring powers away and he would know how to bring his shinigami powers back using his fullbring. That would mean we would see his pure awesomeness more!

I agree with you, because, A) its too soon after the the time skip and B) doesnt he need to absorb the other FB's powers or something to completely restore his powers? This imo is the awakening of his fullbring powers as a means to getting back his shinigami powers.. I dont think we'll be seeing Zangetsu too soon..

That's what tf I'm wondering.

Ichigo has worn far too many "hats" in this series.

Human. Shinigami. Vizard. Hollow. Weird Hollow Bestial Thing. God.

Now he's a..Fullbringer? Bringing it to the fullest?

I'm STILL wondering about what the hell Aizen's henchmen took from Matsumoto.

I love new stuff but, damn, make a chapter that answers some old stuff.

Don't think Ichigo's manifesting a sword, but rather the manji symbol on his bankai and solely that symbol. Probably a four-sided shruiken thing. When I saw that page I went "... wait... I've seen this in a fanart before!"

I think next chapter when Ichigo activates his FB, he will go all blue and white and there will be a pop up over his head. "Riruka would like to add you as a friend" And then there will be a cliffhanger.. "Will Ichigo accept Riruka as a friend!?" And Ichigo will go "Facebook is cool! Dammitall!"

Anyway,I think the pace for this chapter is much more decent than the last chapter.. It contains more soul in a way. The flashbacks etc is valid as a placement for dramatic effect. But yet,i have to agree that much more could have happened in the panels. I guess the problem with Kubo is that he is drawing his mangas too much with the idea of converting it directly to an anime. The other mangakas will focus more on actual content and let the anime fill out on the spaces that they missed out on the manga.. Kubo wants to draw panel by panel in direct corellation to his anime imho. That's where it gets so slow and draggy and some find it as a gimmick.

Not necessarily.... As it was pointed out, ichigo already regained his reiatsu although he did not seem to notice. The final getsuga tensho sealed ichigo's reiatsu altogether. If ichigo were to use FGT again then there is a real possibility that he would not be able to use fullbring because he would not have any reiatsu to use it with.

I am a little disappointed that the eye patch guy has the ability of time, it reminds me of Barragan's ability. The chapter was decent but Ichigo needs to man up and get back to his SS self. Ever since then he always seems so damn moody and helpless. Hopefully we get to see his powers come back next chapter but I doubt it will be that easy and we will have to wait awhile before he gets it all back. The last page was pretty sweet, maybe if he gets Zangetsu back he will talk to him and get his inner world looking like NYC again.

These Fullbring powers continue to look broken, at least on paper (har har). I guess Kubo balanced it by putting them in the hands of humans and not more powerful beings. And I'm glad Chad's Fullbring has been confirmed to have nothing to do with his coin, cause that means he's going to get an extra weapon from it. Him Fullbringing his own skin is pretty sick though. Even though Fullbring is only supposed to work on objects, like I mentioned in the past, Chad should have a bigger range because of the Hogyoku. With the whole skin thing its pretty much confirmed he's gonna get a total body armour (as if it wasn't obvious from the time his second arm changed) and get a weapon from the coin. He already has a shield so its going to be an attacking weapon. I'm predicting a massive Tomahawk (10x more badass than Barragan's axe).

I looked it up and a Mestizo is a mix between a Spaniard and an Amerindian. So the Mexican side of his heritage has been clarified. The latter explains the whole demon theme he has going on too cause American Indians have a thing for demons/spirits.

P.S. While the IchiRuki-ness is hard to deny in this chapter, its the Valentine issue so its just Kubo smartly giving fanservice for the occasion. Probably boosted sales or whatever. Its not going to go any further in the future. :eyeroll

I would love that lol. I don't think Zangetsu is coming back so fast. He'll probably transform into Ban Kai mode with the badge and use Getsuga or some new move from it, or even just his own body. I'd like to see him shooting reiatsu from his hand. This isn't emotional enough for me to warrant Zangetsu returning. Knowing Kubo, Zangetsu won't come back until the end of the arc when Ichigo is in real strife. The badge will probably be destroyed or something and he'll be staring at death, then Kubo will do a big fanservice moment with Zangetsu appearing.

Zangetsu: "I could never let you die, Ichigo." :p

i just read this chapter i never thought that giriko would have such a cool ability "time tells no lies" i thought it would have some thing to do with his right eye, i even thought about kakashi hatake, how he would use his right eye sharingan and see his enemies moves and even rip his opponents by sending it to another dimension, i thought giriko's fullbring would be definitely along the lines of that........ and how wrong was i :darn

ichigo's new fullbring looks really awesome, i was thinking him bringing out a 2 handed great sword but i like this one better, i can imagine him throwing it at the yakuza and cutting his head off, kubo played this one well but too bad it was the last page when he activated it :amuse

Can he do bankai without encountering Zangetsu? The fact is that, they are really one being. He may not appear and help ichigo out but we know that Ichigo could find him in the inner world. Yes I agree with you that kubo will pull something like this. I guess it would make more story and struggle+conflict crap. The sad things is that, we the readers experienced this already.

I see this as a very boring direction. Ichigo's fullbring should give him something new, maybe a new attire when he achieves bankai since he is attaining his shinigami powers in a different manner. I know for sure that he will have a new move otherwise this whole thing would be pointless from ground zero.

*Sigh* It somehow makes me facepalm how a panel of Rukia shows up ever since the beginning of the new arc and bam, 'IchiRuki is flaring, BBY!'. Why can't people get that Kubo only trolls all of us and that, if there is going to be a pairing at all, it'll only be showed at the end, FMA style? It prevents useless wars.

Gosh, I don't even come to this forum when Rukia returns for real. It'll be flood season.

The memories were somehow in the order they happened. Rukia leaving was the end of his shinigami days; of course he'd remember her last :\ And of course that his powers would flare at the end, not in the middle of the recollection of memories. I don't see the big deal.

Apart from that, I hope Ichigo gets something that allows him to protect rather than attack. He craves to be able to protect again and, since he'll get Zangetsu at a point, now he could have something different than a sword. Just my hope! ;A;

Also, I'm expecting this awakening to release some of Ichigo's reiatsu, somehow. Maybe if Isshin feels his son's spiritual power, he'll FINALLY show up :| It's getting annoying.

I think that at least when it comes to other humans it is because they simply have not been taught those skills. From what we know, quincy skills are not inherent but rather acquired techniques. I think any human with enough talent could learn that.

I have never agreed with this, although the whole thing is kinda murky. I hope when the time comes for the Isshin backstory, Kubo expands on Ryuuken too and gives us the real scoop on the Quincy. I always viewed the Quincy as a special clan like the Uchiha and that they are born with that ability (to absorb spiritrons with their body). The training enhances it so they can use their techniques. Otherwise I don't see why there aren't more Quincy around. Ishida would teach Orihime (or Tatsuki even) in a flash but it doesn't work that way to me...

Omg this is your basis that Ichigo regained his reiatsu?

First of all Orihime was the first to mention the strange "aura" around Ichigo. Uryuu while talking to himself stated that Ichigo has no reiryoku but he could feel reiatsu.

This has to mean that the reiatsu is from someone else(probably Xcution) because of two main points.

1. Orihime noticed it as stange
2. Reiatsu can not exist without reiryoku

Reiatsu is the physical force of reiryoku. Reiryoku is potential energy while Reiatsu is Kinetic energy. Ichigo has no reiryoku therefore its impossible for him to have reiatsu.

Unless Kubo-sensei develops a different type of reiatsu aspect (such as he did with shunpo for different ppl ex. sonido for arrancars) and makes it skip the requirement of reiryoku, then there is no way the reiatsu is Ichigo's.

Chad's grandpa was from Mexico right? Wasn't that explained like in the beginning of the manga?

Anyway, how is Kubo going to explain now the fact that he gained fullbring powers, that supposedly appear when the mother is attacked by a hollow and the child survives, when he said that Chad's powers had awaken because of the hougyoku. Well since Aizen knows so much about everything, I would be very surprised if he didn't know anything about Fullbring. With that being said, I wish that Kubo could pick up the pace. What Kishimoto can do in one chapter, it will take Kubo at least 10 chapters to do. Overall, this arc is interesting but very slow. :p

My theory always has been that either fullbringers or some other group used their powers to attach a tracking device that uses something similar to raitsu so that they can track him. I think it was said that it was either attached to or around ichigo not that it was his. It would make sense that ginjou always showed up when ichigo was kidnapped for work. Or maybe it was from the mysterious fullbringer that oddly enough looks a little like zangetsu.

Well, the whole thing has yet to be elaborated upon but at the very least the quincy have shown to be different from fullbringers and shinigami when it comes to developing their abilities. With shinigami and fullbringers at least their abilities are innate and the means to develop them have supported that since no one but themselves can actually teach them how to use them. On the contrary, we saw ishida (albeit in short flashbacks) being specifically taught quincy skills by his grandfather and probably father. I think it makes sense there aren't other quincy around. For one thing, humans with reiatsu at all are inherently weird. Even rukia had not heard of such a thing when he met ichigo originally. Also, would there be a point to training a bunch of people to become quincy if SS would retaliate against them again? Heck, it was stated SS actually kept the quincy on a short leash after anhialating them back in the day. I don't think they would have looked too kindly on whatever remaining quincy had it bothered to start a quincy academy, it would directly lead to a repetition of history.
[hr]
As for what ishida said, he said ichigo was supposed to lost his reikoryo but he definitely felt reiatsu around him. As far as I know reiatsu is made of reikoryu and there is not a single instance in the manga where someone has said they felt reikoryu but rather reiatsu. I don't think reikoryo can be felt for the most part. In that sense, if ichigo had reiatsu around him then he must have regained his reikoryo. I recall the original manga stream translation made it seem as if the reiatsu around ichigo was not his but in turn none of the other current translations support that.

I still think chad using fullbring on his own body is overall strange to say the least. Perhaps it is because of the orb that he did pull that? Aizen did say that the orb merely showed the way and it could not do people do stuff which was already beyond them so perhaps the orb merely facilitated the use of fullbring in chad and orihime's case. Orihime's power is still a bit too much so perhaps the orb did enhance what her power. Anyways, at the very least orihime and chad are a bit different from the fullbringers we have seen (even if only two).

I don't think its weird Chad can Fullbring his body. The Hogyoku realizes its target's maximum talent; powers that you couldn't normally reach even if the potential was there. Like how in real life scientists say humans only use a fraction of our real brainpower. Even geniuses. With Hogyoku you could use 100%. So Chad's Fullbring reaches beyond what normal Fullbringers do with objects.

P.S. I don't think Ichigo will be overpowered. For one thing I don't think Zangetsu is coming back yet and he will use the badge as a substitute to transform. And even if he does get a whole bunch of powers (which is a good thing...how long have people been asking for this?), like I always say Aizen wasn't as strong as most people think. He was tough but not godly - the next villains will be better.

fullbring powers arent overpowered remeber even if there strong there just human one stabb to the gut can kill them. ichigo wont be getting zangetsu back anytime soon hes power during aizen fight was ridiculous tehre no way kubo is returning all that power to ichigo now, if he does then bleach is over, theres no one stronger than ichigo during his 2nd bankai form

This was a good chapter.Every chapter is good,no matter what it contains, because it makes people want another chapter, right?

I really hope someone can clarify WHY Ichigo is able to use Fullbring. My theory is that since it requires Hollow intervention in a human's life, and since Ichigo himself had a Hollow inside him,he is able to use fullbring.

Definetely, the symbol that appeared from the badge relates to Ichigo's Final Bankai form.I'm very curious what Kubo will make out of this, there are many posibilities, some of which: Ichigo gets good ol' Zangetsu back and with it another shot at FGT; Ichigo gets good and new Zanpakutou.I hope it will be a katana, since Ichigo specialized in close combat with swords.Or he will become a melee fighter, since he was lacking a sword in FGT(besides Mugetsu)he could specialize in melee fighting, like Youruichi.

@thornofcarrion I'm also wondering the same thing.Back in time,Urahara and Isshin knew that Ichigo was contacted by the Vaizard(or Visored,or however they're called).Since Ishida was able to "feel" that that guy had something resembling reiatsu,I say that it's safe to assume that both Urahara and Isshin know that Ichigo has been contacted by the Fullbringers.

The last speculation is about the badge's powers,WHY does it resemble the symbol on Ichigo's bankai.I think that the catalyst for Ichigo is Zangetsu, thus we could see Ichigo's (new) inner world.Too many things are left vague, too many questions unanswered, too much speculation.

I dont know if this would be cool or not...just a thought... (and yes i realize this might blow out of proportion) but the symbol that appeared opens a gateway for his soul to materialize in the chain form (since technically he doesnt have any reiatsu or reiryoku) and im not sure where im going with this..it sounded better in my head :-/

When I first heard that Bleach was initially rejected by Jump (or something like that) for being to similar to YYH, I was like oh good thing it didn't since it's actually pretty unique. Then Kubo goes and rips off YYH panel for panel during Ichigonator's takeover. Since then I've been more suspicious and critical of things in the story resembling other manga. Ulq and Yammy's introduction was just like Vegeta and Nappa's crater emergence on Earth, but that can technically be classified under homage. And it wasn't just territorial power in the second half of YYH, it was a development of powers based on aspects of their personality. Which you can't deny this is way too similar to.

Compare:http://4.p.s.mfcdn.net/store/manga/9/41-350.0/compressed/bleach_350_sleepyfans.19.jpg
to http://i5.mangareader.net/yu-yu-hakusho/151/yu-yu-hakusho-437172.jpg

Seriously.

Wasnt ripped off panel for panel at all. At least not from YYH. Not to mention that the YYH panel was Yusukes appearance, whereas in the Bleach chapter Ichigo transformed like several pages ago and just freaking tore Ulquiorras arm off.

That scenario is used in so many shonen. That whole transformation was being hinted at for the longest time too anyway. Do you know how many mangas have protagonists that end up getting some random powerup and end up transforming?? Those two transformations are completely different, aside from the fact they both have long hair, and it seems like thats a trait all these powerup transformations tend to have anyway. ( Super Saiyan, Sasukes CS2, Busou Renkin, Defense Devil, Gon from Hunter X Hunter, the list goes on and on).

The events in which the transformations took place are completely different anyway. And like I said, theres always a battle where the protagonist gets owned and then out of nowhere gets this super big transformation and kills his opponent. YYH was not the first. Yeah theres some kids with spiritual powers and spiritual beings. So what? Thats been used several times already too in other manga. Both of the plots are so freaking different, please don't make me break both stories down, I can't anyway because this is already way offtopic. I don't really remember territory having anything to do with personality. But who cares, Fullbring and territory are really different, they already explained how Fullbring works, and if you read YYH you should know how territory works, so enough with this crap already.:mad

yes, but from the info we've been given, the guy with the eye patch could have easily beaten aizen.

he could make the rule "If you don't stop being a cocky *** in 1 second you're dead"

lol. Aizen wouldn't even have to know the rule. And he would start to rant about how powerful he is and then in 1 second he would be destroyed by the flames of time.

I've been enjoying the Bleach chapters for these past few weeks, but this week it made me raise an eyebrow.

The butler added that incineration spell for no apparent reason. Perhaps other than adding a sense of urgency. But Ichigo doesn't even know about it, so he doesn't feel that urgency. Not unless someone tells him. But even the girl didn't know, and she could have pulled him out and accidentally killed him.

During Ichigo's hollow training, he also faced real danger. But not only was it something that he felt he needed to learn urgently due to an imminent threat, but it was a necessity to go through the risks then. And he also knew of the risks and the conditions.

Here, Ichigo wasn't even prepared to do training, let alone knew what kind of training it was in the first place.
He has the opportunity to come back and try again if it doesn't work the first time. And these people need Ichigo. So the butler logically (?) places an instant death skill on the doll house in case he doesn't get it right the first time, and one that cannot be removed? Ripping Ichigo away from the lives of his family and friends, without any forewarning, just because he feels like it, without any forewarning? Wow, how casually he made that decision.
Is Kubo lacking so much creativity these days that he can only add suspense with nonsense like this? I liked most of this arc so far. Just not this random cold blooded murder.

I feel insulted reading this chapter. Like Kubo expects me to perceive it as suspense instead of the illogical nonsense that it seems to be.

I feel insulted reading this chapter. Like Kubo thinks I'd perceive that as suspense instead of the outright BS that it is. Or seems to be.

actually Ive re read the chapter and the conditions seem rather weak. all he has to do is survive for an additional 15 minutes.

His total timer is 30 min, but the first 15 he spent running from the teddybear. now hes only got to stay alive for 15 more to meet the requirements. however, rirukas bear is morphing into like a juggernaught, so he might have a hard time staying alive for 15 more min.

at the end of the chapter he got his badge to respond, and he started to use his FB although we can only guess as to how that will unfold, i dont expect him to have a hard time surviving for 15 min.

After the conditions are met, and the timer expires, he can leave the doll house.

so its not really that bad, even thou the consequences are potentially deadly for ichigo.

Yeah, I understand that part. I just think that this incineration spell is beyond extreme, and doesn't make sense. It's not humane. I can't buy that a human would do that, for no apparent reason other than to add a sense of urgency. Not this way, and not when they need him. Not when they're all people, and supposedly not murderers.
Normally I don't think too much about what's logical or not in a make belief world, but this really struck me as lazy writing, and a cheap way to add suspense for the reader. One I'm not buying.

I'm still looking forward to the rest of this arc though. To me it's been surprisingly refreshing and interesting compared to most of the Huelco Mundo arc.

it could be why the fullbringers want to get rid of their powers, correct me if im wrong but they said before that they dont like these powers and that its evil, it could be that the abilities had made the fullbringers slightly evil and heartless, i mean Riruka trapped a yakuza inside a teddy bear and she doesn't look very apologetic about it.

or it could be that giriko believes that ichigo can survive at least another 15 minutes without being killed and some other thing like that

i really do hope ichigo does get his 2end bankai form back, it looks so cool and the recent anime episode of ichigo in his 2end bankai vs aizen made it look even cooler.

i know at that time ichigo was the strongest in bleach but i think if captain yamamoto used his bankai he would fight at aizen's level and also are you forgetting about the 2 year time skip, of-course the gotei 13 got a lot more stronger since then, hitsugaya went into a cave to do jinzen and train to become stronger you can expect him and everyone else to have been training in the 2 year time skip

Oh yeah, I remember something about it being an evil power. Gonna have to re read that chapter. But that could be why he acts that way, and why she trapped a yakuza in a teddy bear. I'll reserve my judgement on what kind of "human being" he should be. There are all kinds, after all. But it's also the part that they need Ichigo that made this seem like a very strange gamble.

I can understand if the doll had no one inside, then maybe it would'nt know how to fight or worst case it would just be a doll. But I really feel bad for Yakuza-kun, Riruka didnt even explain anything about this. If she really likes Ichigo shes gonna have to think about these things more. I'm sure Ichigo thinks its pretty effed up trapping a person in a doll.

YYH was not the first but it sure as hell was one of the first. It came out 2 decades ago. Out of your list only Dragon Ball started before YYH but the long haired transformation of SS3 came during the end of its run, about when YYH had already concluded. So I'd definitely give alot more credit to YYH being original compared to all the shounen that came after. And territory did root from personality, Kaito, a literary genius gains the taboo ability, the amateur boxer who gained the the ability to read thoughts/person's next move, the kid who gained powers revolving around his love for video games, etc.

Besides, I was just pointing out that Kubo introducing this completely new group of humans who developed personality based powers after encounters with such and such in the beginning of the second phase of the story reminded me of what happened in YYH. I'm still waiting for the arc to play out, but remember at the beginning of the arc we saw the other used substitute shinigami badge? If Kubo decides that the main villain for this arc is a former substitute shinigami, just like Sensui was the former spirit detective then what the :-_-

It's not that bad if it shares some similarities, but when a whole storyline plays out along the same basic lines then that's just ridiculous

Good chapter I like how he's moving the story along now. Just to point out these abilities look fearsome but in reality they are useless against any shinigami really or any arrancar.

Any shinigami trapped in that box would incinerate that bear as would any arrancar, so yes all of these abilities look cool and strong but we've seen from chad they are useless against strong opponents. They only seem fearsome because ichigo is helpless with no powers at all.

So im definitely not impressed with this doll house or this "fire time" or however he calls it. Ginjo is prob the strongest but even he pales in comparison to other shinigami.

Ichigo will get his powers back and in a few chapters this arc will conclude and Aizen will return and the final arc will begin. Those who still think Aizen is gone for good are terribly mistaken cause kubo isnt creating a more broken villain there's no way he would or could lol.

I feel like the assumption here is that Xcution are supposed to be "good" guys but it seems to me that they (possibly not all of them) are actually villains. They state that they've seen numerous victims of the time fullbring's incineration ability and also clearly have no trepidations regarding using a person (yakuza) against their will to further their goals. Now regarding the attack against Ishida, perhaps I am not remembering correctly but it seemed to me like the attacker looked a lot like one of the Xcution members (the one who for some reason did not want to see Riruka's panties).

I wished Kubo would show a meeting with Urahara and/or the Vaizards to talk about what happened 100 years ago that led to them having hollowfication.
It would be nice if Yamamoto cancelled all the penalties, at least.

But this is a prediction that i expect to happen off-panel, unfortunately.

But in all honesty if he hasn't jumped all over Orihime yet you will never see anything like that in this manga.

Well,my thought is that Kubo wanted to get this arc over as soon as possible,so he freakin' skipped Kensei Vs WW and Kenpachi&Byakukya Vs Yammy.Damn,I hate that they were off-panels.

About Kensei,it's pretty simple actually: after releasing his bankai,he was pawning around WW,until WW released his zanpakutou and became that monster WW.Since Yamamoto himself was suprised about WW's released form powers, including his high-speed regen, his strength and speed, the only safe assumption is that monster WW beat the hell out of Kensei.

Its just a tad frustrating that Ichigo reached such an awesome pinacle of power to only lose it. I mean he was AMAZING and the art kubo picked for it was equally impressive. So to be honest if this arc doesn't at least come close to restoring his power to that point, I may just say F this manga. You can't power up the main character like that and just destroy it instantly :(.

Any how by a plot standing we only had a slight glimpse of possible villains, that is the guy who attacked quincy 4 eyes. Some sort of sinister plot has to come into play. Deep down I am hoping Aizen had more planned beyond what happened already and his back up is in motion.

1) We never got to see a vasto lorde arancar even though it was given significant face time.

2) The kings key has to come back into play.

3) Squad 0 was introduced prior to the war arc and nothing has been said since.

So I am going to trust Kubo and assume all of that will come together shortly and hopefully its all connected in some way.

2) i think both 2 and 3 are linked some how..isshin is ex squad 0 and masaki was kings daughter then they left my theory.

as for villains at moment..im guessing a divide with the soulbringer group..that eyepatch guy showed his dark side this chapter.

reason why kubo cant go back to FGT ichigo is how strong it was ...maybe border line manga breaking ..i assume if ichigo goes back to zangetsu then his bankai will be like what we saw with chain on arm but maybe not full strength..kubo did it to show how powerfull ichigo can be in the future if he can control his pressure.

Harribel was called a vasto lorde via her fraccion imo this doesn't confirm nor deny that she is one. I think it needs to be first person based for it to be true. If they were vasto lordes they certainly were hyped and then became fodder.

People, stop with the VL thing. Its over. And it has been for ages. The anime even ended Arrancar Encyclopedia last week so we won't be seeing anymore, excluding old characters like Nell returning.

Anyway I think it would be boring and cheap if Ichigo came back in his mode against Aizen. The manga got reset so its time for something new from the star. He should do the Fullbring stuff with different fighting style for this whole arc.

An interesting theory someone above mentioned: Ichigo's FB is a shield.Very interesting, and also possible since Ichigo always wants to protect everyone.Though,it would be a mockery to Ichigo, who (ironically)got used to FIGHT to protect, and now (with a shield)he can only PROTECT without fighting. It's pretty complicated.

Yeah, everyone assumes they're the good guys, everyone also assumes they're being honest in saying Ichigo will get his old powers back.
Getsuga made it clear that if Ichigo used the final form his powers would be gone for good. Yolu can't just forget something like that, maybe Xcution think they can get Ichigo his powers back, maybe they'll fail and something new happens to Ichigo(Assuming they aren't just interested in seeing Ichigo get a power like theirs. And whose to say the sword that was shown off doesn't have a similar power to Aizen in recruiting people? Why else show it just to bring it back?) I don't like thinking things are too predictable and end up coming up with a lot of ideas, but I am really excited to see what Ichigo pulls off.

If thats true, then its a step forward for ichigo, being able to summon his shinigmai powers and use zangetsu in human form is like a true awakening for him. no longer would he need to be in spirit form. im not totallly sure things will work out this way,

Is he just manifesting the sword? or does he get a getsuga tensho?
i hope we get a good explanation or lead up to exactly what his FB power is.

I guess YYH having long hair was one of the first, but the idea of a character getting a random transformation is older than that, and Ichigos transformation and Yusukes are COMPLETELY different in the origin of said power, attacks used, appearance(aside from long hair which is hardly a similiaritiy) and the scenario in which said power surfaced.

Characters in manga and outside of manga very often have powers relating to their personality whether theres a direct relation to the source of that power or not. Fullbring and territory are still extremely different, and fullbring is a power that has actually existed since the beginning of this manga, because Chad and Orihime use it.

The arc isn't playing out similiar to YYH really. All you've got is the main character meeting a new group of characters with mysterious powers. Thats nothing. Not to mention Ichigo HAS no powers here, whereas Yusuke always did, and there are several other things going on, like Ishida getting assaulted, the whole Isshin thing, and the whole Urahara/Karin thing, the Unagiya shop, theres sooooo much going on in this arc. Granted its moving kinda slow but, whatever, theres alot Kubo can do. Even if the bad guy is an ex substitute shinigami, I wouldn't call it a ripoff. Similiar, yes, but the idea of having a bad guy who at one point was similiar to the main character has also very often been used. Now if the villain has seven split personalities and thinks humans are evil and wants to destroy the world by unleashing a bunch of hollows/demons, then YES, that would be a ripoff.

Chad uses it, still don't know about Orihime.

Also, I disagree that fullbring has existed since the beginning of the manga. Oh, it did exist, in manga time line, but we sure as hell didn't receive any clue whatsoever until Ginju came and explained it.

There's no way to determine if it was planned all the time or Kubo just pulled it out of his ass. Chad's power doesn't prove anything. First he grows stronger in Hueco Mundo, making us think that his power is Hollow related. Then we discover that he received those powers because of Hougyoku, putting his powers in a separate class, like Orihime's. And now, we "discover" that it was fullbring all along.

It's not a well rounded explanation, that makes you say - "A-HA! Now it all makes sense!"
it's messy as shit.

Somehow after hearing Chad's speech about pride, I wanted to listen to Public Enemy's 'Fight the Power'. My boy Chad can never be called an Uncle Tom! Viva la raza!

I think this Fullbring group is fragmented in its views, but aiming towards the same goal just like Soul Society for example!Whether we get a breakaway group remains to be seen, but definitely Ichigo is being used by them for more than ridding them of their powers. The key is how honest Chad is to Ichigo about the group or how honest Chad 'can be'.

I think hes been planning it this way for a pretty long time. In HM, it was said Chad's powers are more like a Hollows, and Fullbring is supposed to originate from their parents having contact with Hollows or something. And the Hogyoku according to Aizen can't manifest the desires of those around it unless they have the potential to possess it, and since Chad and Orihime both wanted power and had the potential to use Fullbring, the Hogyoku helped them realize their power, even though they had no idea what Fullbring was.

And Ryuuken said the new enemies had powers more like Chad and Orihime, so its probably Fullbring, but I guess it could be something else.

That's all true but I would have been more convinced if there were any hints during the story so far. This way, it seems as if Kubo sort of made up a back story as he went along.

It's a shame this arc isn't developing faster. The plot may turn into something really interesting, but I don't really feel like waiting 2 years to find out who the next villain will be.

Dude Chad's powers are hollow related. They were dormant (probably because he never fought and instead just stood there and got beat)

The hougoku AWAKENED (that means they were there) his powers. It did not give him anything. It awakened the power he already had in his soul

Kubo did not say that Orihime was a fullbringer(FANS SAY THAT) Only Chad and we usually see a technique or ability LOOONNGGG before it's named

It does make sense if you would think about it carefully and revisit some old chapters. Everything is pulled outta Kubo's ass. It's his imagination!! but there is more to say that Fullbringers were PLANNED long ago... yet they have only been recently introduced. Because it wasn't time yet. Just like Vizards who came YEARS after we saw Shinji's image in the first chapter spread.

And Ryuuken said the new enemies had powers more like Chad and Orihime, so its probably Fullbring, but I guess it could be something else.

He also said Ishida was like them. I surmised he meant super powered humans That aren't DEAD YET. Seeing how every other being is a "spirit" Only the Quincy , Orihime and the Fullbringers are not.

Will there be a new chapter this week?

Hey BleachOD, it's been awhile. As for the Fullbringer concept, I agree with you. I think it makes sense, and it does fit with the plot. I don't know if it's something that Kubo Tite always had planned, but as long it makes sense, I'm cool with it.

As for Ichigo, I think it's sad that he lost his shinigami powers. At the same time, I'm definitely interested in his F.B. abilities. I'm looking forward to the next chapter, so hopefully the spoilers come out soon.

You can bold and cap as much as you want but one Vizard face doesn't mean that Kubo planned out every Vizard and their appearance, personality, Shikai, Bankai... Also, Shinji's head in the first chapter spread doesn't mean that Kubo planned out EVERYTHING.

Oh, I don't doubt that he envisioned some characters and their powers and even some plot points, but anyone who reads Bleach should know that there's no way in hell that everything was planned. Do you really believe that that mess of Winter War was the result of years of planning? Because if it is, that's some really shitty planning skill.

It's as if after SS arc, Kubo just went - "What the hell, I'm tired of planning, random mode START!"

Maybe he did have a fullbring concept planned from the start, but he certainly made an effort of making it look like he just pulled it out on the spot. Not a single clue until few chapters back. That's all I'm saying. Please don't respond with another fangirlish post. I like Bleach, but that doesn't mean I can't observe it critically. It's hard not to, after last 2 years.

I hope the pace picks up finally so we can see if we get some good story finally. After a nice start, this doll house thing is really breaking the pace.

whats this talk about a shield? i thought that ichigo's fullbring was a shuriken

http://mangastream.com/read/bleach/79125793/21

That's not a Shuriken, that's a hula-hoop, a horribly ill conceived and deadly hula-hoop.

reason why kubo cant go back to FGT ichigo is how strong it was ...maybe border line manga breaking ..i assume if ichigo goes back to zangetsu then his bankai will be like what we saw with chain on arm but maybe not full strength..kubo did it to show how powerfull ichigo can be in the future if he can control his pressure.

The reason why Ichigo was so powerful as FGT was because it ate away at his spiritual pressure and Shinigami powers. As in he could not use them 'ever again'. They made a big deal about, that's what 'Final' meant as in never again.
If he does get his powers back it won't be as easy as flipping a switch, and even If he does gain Shinigami powers I doubt he'd get Getsuga back.

One thing I don't understand, why was the Hogyoku necessary? It seems the ability to bring out dormant fullbringer powers is dependant upon the relationship between the object and its user. His pride connected Chad to his skin.

What did the Hogyoku do?

Originally Kubo only planned about 200 chapters worth of content so probably things like Fullbring as a whole were not included. If you read the interviews, Kubo pulled a lot of things but only for the first half of the Arrancar arc. Aparently he has planned quite a bit from the second half now, so even if this whole concept was not in the original story, it fits quite decently at the moment, I mean it doesn't really retcon anything other than what are and how do they work when those were never explained deeply. And who knows? Kubo has promised an Isshin arc and explanations about this stuff, maybe he did plan the concept 3 years ago.

it's messy as shit.

Neither of those disprove or contradict each other so saying its messy as shit doesnt make sense. First off, Fullbring is still Hollow related. Second, Aizen said the Hogyoku brought out Ichigos powers/potential and his fights were predetermined. Ichigos potential and resolve were his key characteristics since day one.
And thirdly, Ichigo's reiatsu clearly had its influence on other souls (Hogyoku). Most of Ichigo's friends have been spiritually aware pretty early on.

There is that small chance it can be an asspull but how many times have people whined and cried on this forum when something they didnt like happened? Their favorite characters get nerfed, overrated characters (Hitsugaya) get buffed randomly. Just pure subjective bullshit.
You forget that TK foreshadows many things in Bleach. Ichigos hollow mask saving him in Soul Society, Shinji's backwards characteristic, Ichigonators mask was a chapter cover way before the Ulquiorra fight. I'm sure that there are others I'm forgetting.

Point is, time and time again people overreact over trivial things. The only thing I can blame is the pacing.

find it strange people cant accept a Dollhouse

when in bleach we had a talking teddy bear with a soul (kon)
talking cat
don konoji
fairies coming from a hairpin

to me it nothing out of ordinary for bleach

a bit more info as to why we are not receiving the spoilers yet...

from spacecat:

Most likely no spoilers etc today because the delivery of Jump was delayed. Just letting people know xD

from T (raw provider of one piece), translation by Aohige_AP on AP:

Quote:
T's usual source has not gotten next week's Jump yet.
In fact, apparently the liquor store (yes, a liquor store is where he gets the uber early Jump) hasn't gotten shipment at all today.
Possibly due to the heavy snow they are experiencing in the area.

So.... hang tight, we may need to wait for ohana (assuming ohana's source isn't getting stuck in the snow)

It's not that I don't accept it, it's that it's boring. If I'm not mistaken, Orihime never talked to her fairies for 3 straight chapters.

But since you like the doll box so much, I guess you wouldn't have problem even if it lasted 3 more chapters, right?

i was just going on about how people are whining about the dollhouse like bleach has never had anything stupid in it and always been realistic..last week people where like a dollhouse kubo cant be serious blah blah blah.

whoopie dooo it a dollhouse get over it it makes sense after the fullbring power was explained..not everybody has a training area the size of uraharas or vizards under there house.

i think be over this week. we ended with power awaken..even if still in dollhouse long we get some intresting convos like last weeks chapter not bothered....just funny seeing people taking Bleach so serious

I don't care what we had before. Also it was nothing close to how it is now. Kon running around like a comic relief its ok but after so many chapters of nothing i just can't take any more chapters of 20 pages of Ichigo running in a damn dollhouse from a teddy-big and 1 good page.

I just whant for Kubo to move his but and put something else we realy whant to see. I can insert a long list here:

Where is Isshin, backstory on Isshin.
Details on Ichigo's powers fast and not in 300 chapters from now.
What happened to lots of dudes after the "war".
Who is the new big bad dude.
Spirit King
Royal dimension.
Where is Yoruichi zanpakuto.
and lots of other things ... BUT NOOOOO we get a teddy-big and a doll house for 2-3 chapters now? Bahhhhh.

I whant Ichigo from his fight with Aizen back (and i don't mean his powers!!).

chapter 435- ichigo on 8 pages again...the rest showing fullbringer and explaining why a dollhouse....

so yeah it more giving us bout fullbringers then ichigo..heck even told us why chad has powers which been mystery for ages so kubo is answering questions.

take it people dont have patience..if kubo went straight into telling about the past people would moan it going to fast kubo cant pace..it takes a slow calculating route..people moan cant pace.

truth is people dont know what they want from Bleach they just moan over anything.

You know its sad when people whin to the point I post feom my cellphone, really complaining about the whole dollhouse/teddybear thing. Well lets start off with the teddybear, in real life it would be 8 or 9 foot tall with hollow like features, with the mind of a serial killer who has a chance to live back in the free world if he kills some kid. Plus this girl can turn most things into the size of dolls if she wants to and trap them there, can you image anyone from ss getting caught by that let alone have a timer that has requirements that if you dont complete you get erased, no telling how that can be used. Oh you didnt say hi to 20 people by 1:30pm zap youre erased! Not sayin he can do it like that exaxtly but you get it. This is a new start let feel it it first because Ichigo is about to open his eyes again for the second time, and this time nothing may be the same as far as we know Rukia could be married to Renji and have kids or capt dogface could have freed aizen. Ichigo nor we know whats happened in a year and a half

I would have to agree with some of the guys on the pacing of the chapter. Its kind of like kubo is trying to display a new type of method for writing and drawing. Wants to keep the readers in suspense, sort of like trying to build momentum and release arrays of good chapters when full momentum is gained.

Its not the best of methods to take, well for him anyways, its not working out quite well. Other shonen's have much more dialect into each pages thus make it more enjoyable.

If kubo wanted to, he could fit all that explanation of the full-bringers into about 8 panels. Rest could be action combined with simple explanations of events.

And no, it wouldn't be too much and readers could take plenty of breaks in between the action. Its just a matter of implementing it well. This teddy bear thing feels kind of dragged out.

At the end of the last chapter when ichigo uses his fullbring, is the texture seen in the images his reiatsu? If it is then ichigo right now experienced a full spiritual awakening which is a pretty big deal. Perhaps the purpose of teaching him fullbring was solely that. If ichigo did finally awake his reiatsu then for the next part of his training I would venture a guess and say that the remaining step is to put him in contact with zangetsu though. Not sure how the fullbringers could help him with that though. Heck, shouldn't he just use the badge to remove his soul from his body to have a shinigami form once again?

I think that at least when it comes to other humans it is because they simply have not been taught those skills. From what we know, quincy skills are not inherent but rather acquired techniques. I think any human with enough talent could learn that.

i knew they were acquired. thats why i wondered why other spiritual beings can't use them.
