How do I start becoming a Editor and a Typesetter

Hey My MH names Lyfe004

And I was wondering how do u start off as an editor and typesetter for mangas... Although I have thought about it and came up with my own way to edit and typeset but it seems very amatuer-ish. So is there any programs that I need to start off.

I'm a total noob at this and I can't even translate. (sorry -_-) But I'm willing to take time and help out in the mangahelpers community. There's no specific manga that I would like to work on. So I might dabble around. Any comments is much appreciated. :amuse

best way to get the technics right is here on MH to look into the tutorial section of the MH Academy:

the academy also has cleaning/editing challenges where one can participate and get tips and hints from cleaners that are into it for some time already.

and welcome to MH :)


ps. photoshop is the program of choice for editing manga, although gimp isn't too bad either... the tutorials work with photoshop for most of the time.
