So... Vindice from Primo's age were hippie and had some Reborn-looking baby which Reborn! doesn't want them (Tsuna and company) to see...
Suspicious... are the Vindice going to imprison Enma? Perhaps Tsuna for having lost his pride (his friends, which include Ryohei, Enma and the other people from Shimon)?

Summary of 333 (from what I can see)

-Seems like a lighthearted start as the group joke around a bit (Reborn even gave Enma and Tsuna a combination name: The dame dame combi, it warms my heart)

-THEN THE VINDICE SHOWS UP and intends to take away Enma, but not before revealing the 6th key which is a transparent pacifier.

-It appears that Cozart had wanted his existence to be wiped away, and for his family to be bullied down the generations. (perhaps it was a plan to fool Daemon, I’m not sure). Giotto refused to follow through with it, saying that he’ll be passing this suffering down his generations. But Cozart says his family isn’t as weak as Giotto thinks. G watches the argument and notes that Cozart won’t give in even when Giotto is troubled by it. Giotto reluctantly agrees, saying as long as Vongola exists, he vows to support the Simon from the shadows.

-Then the Vindice of the past shows up, and Giotto names one of them: Bermuda Von Veckenschtein (not sure of the spelling but sounds German) A VINDICE ARCOBALENO? LAST BOSS ANYONE?

-Reborn gets heated and demands to know why the Vindice has a transparent pacifier

-And finally commence the battle of the pineapple and watermelon.

So could the transparent pacifier mean that this arcobaleno possesses a flame even more powerful than earth and sky.........which could mean that in the "prison break" or whatever the next part of the arc is, earth and sky would have to combine their powers. Who knows.

Oh fascinating! I had a feeling we would be getting more info on the Vindice at this point considering how they were the ones passing judgement. Man I can't wait to see more on this! An unknown acrobaleno sounds very cool. Looking forward to it!

Since Daemon/Mukuro is the main attraction for me, a couple of friends and I took the time to translate the bits of Mukuro and Daemon's dialogue. Just a few lines but yeah, save some time for anyone else who wants to translate the other bits I suppose.

It's really interesting to learn more about that new Arcobaleno and what's his pacifier is and what flame he actually uses.

Ok ... now lets start with the speculation XDD .... firts ... the name dame dame combi!!! it totally fits tsuna-enma ;) ... at last they are fine, even thought it haven't been cleared if tsuna's father attack or killed enma parent's, that's troublesome ... but they are laughing so it fine ....

VINDICE!!!!! I don't want to take anyone of them, neither tsuna or enma ... i'm sure they will protect each other :D

The MEMORY!!! .... so the most relevant part, the new arcobaleno O.O!!!! in my opinion HE/SHE (more problaby a HE), is the one who cursed the arcobaleno, or the first who had the arcobaleno curse ?!?!?!!?! ... well something that way :D ...

Kufufufu vs Nufufufu .... OMG!!! finally the battle that I was waiting for XDD!!! ... I have some mixed feelings about who have to win this battle, firts if mukuro wins ... that mean Julie/Daemon will be taken to the prision where the REAL mukuro is, giving him the oportunity to posses him!!!!!!
But I don't believe Mukuro will let his Little cute Chrome go to that horrible prision and be impresioned just like him :S .....


But it seems that battle will be long (I bet more than only three chapters), and we'll have to wait to see more about who will be imprisioned, who was that new little arcobaleno and the mistery around vendice!!!!

perhaps the new pacifier is the 'earth flame' version? since we already have a set of rings for the flames of the earth, why not get the pacifiers as well? it would certainly balance out the tri-ni-sette (the mare rings and earth flame equivalent would be sealed...)

It makes a lot of sense since Mukuro has been missing in all previous 5 flashbacks, and now Chrome has been missing in this one, and depending on what Mukuro does, she'll be missing in the next one also. So if Mukuro appears in the panel, it means Chrome won't, if Chrome appears, it means Mukuro won't. It's as simple as which Vongola Mist is conscious in that moment.
Anyone noticed the (seems 2) rings in Bermuda Von Viechtenstein's hand? One seems to have the shape of a rose (may be a black rose?).
After the "I have no reason to tell you" phrase, my sight of Vindice has gone from "All-mighty powerfull scary people" to"Quite childish behaviour scary people" xD

um, because Mukuro has resurfaced and has taken over chrome's body. It's the same as when Daemon shifts from Katou to himself at the time the flashback is shown. it doesn't really mean that amano thinks she's useless. I mean if she is, then she's probably just cannon fodder. she's the vessel for mukuro just as julie is the vessel for daemon.

anyways, interesting twist. a clear pacifier. the pacifiers are for the sky only right? unless the earth has its own. I wonder how things would play from this point onward.

and did you see that lens-looking thing in front of daemon's eyes? this battle would be to determine the better illusionist. I think daemon has an advantage, being a mist technician from the past, he's probably refined his abilities up to this point. and he has the desert ring to boot.

daemon spade told mukuro to use the vongola gear in next 2 chapter, next chapter mukuro told daemon to use full strength. chrome appear in next 2 chapter.

The clear pacifier and Reborn getting upset for the first time ever make me think that the Vindice are not just strict mafia law enforcers, but have an agenda of their own. Could be another arc, who knows?

So next chapter we may expect Mukuro vs Daemon? Every fangirl's wet dream, I suppose. I'll go find some ear plugs before the squeals begin :D

Chrome has appeared in literally every single one of the other flashbacks, Einstein. She isn't there now because Mukuro forcibly took over her body.

On that note, I am sort of hoping that Chrome gets to participate here somehow. I wonder if she might force Mukuro back in an attempt to save him. She'd lose to Daemon obviously but frankly it seems to me that Mukuro would lose to Daemon anyway.

Wow. What a great revealing chapter. The flashback again managed to just open up even more questions. But first, Tsuna and Enma have made up and had a nice laugh, which is funny considering how everything just was a large misunderstanding and those are things people generally laugh about when they clear it up. It is a cool addition considering the circumstances it led to. Enma wants to join in on the battle with Daemon, but here come the Vindice to freak up everyone’s good feelings. Anyway because Enma was pride was defeated, we get another item. A clear pacifier.

Now at this part in the chapter I had stayed on the page for a good while, trying to comprehend what I was seeing. It was genuinely a surprise to see a pacifier, let alone a clear one, meaning that there is an eigth Arcoboleno, but more on that later. Continuing with the flashback we see that Cozart and Primo are deciding what to do with Daemon. Cozart decides to go into hiding with the surviving members of his family. It's weird, in the beginning of the manga it shows that Primo is this decisive and wise man, which he is, except when Cozart is around. The two seem to be equal, yet Cozart seems to be the one who thinks much more logically than Primo and is much more determined than Primo.

After the two swear about the supporting each other Bermuda Von Vichtenstein, who I am assuming to be leader of Vindice Prison, appears with a baby on his shoulder and a ring on his finger. Bermuda Von Vichtenstein states that the “You have said the words”, which is odd. In fact his whole appearance in this incident is odd. Why would a prison care for the dealing of the Mafia world? Not only that, but between these two men who were the most powerful in the mafia world? Also why is an Arcoboleno in here? This is well before their time. Could this be the first Arcoboleno? Or is this something greater. Say the creator/originator of all the rings perhaps. We have the sky rings of many types, including the pacifiers and the earth rings. If he is the originator perhaps his pacifier represents nothingness. The element of the void. This would make sense going by how the Vindice appear in and out of existence.

After the flashback ends, we are shown some real emotion by Reborn which hasn’t really been seen like this. The fact that they had it clearly made him uneasy. Vindice however ignores him and allow Enma to stay and observe the fight between Spade and Mukuro, who are just now getting down to business bringing out their eye techniques and signature weapons.

Whew, typed a lot more than I had planned but the chapter called for it. Overall, it was a good information chapter that threw a spiraling curve ball of a twist.

What if the Hell Rings are originally from Vindice (there are 6 of them) and Hell Rings are like rogue items in the Flame Rings Dept. and the story goes that it is already existing even before the flame rings is discoverd look at the Vindice they look like their looks are altered by the Hell Rings and the Clear Pacifier is like Hell Rings or he/she is the leader of all Hell Ring owners

surely the hell rings would form a group of 7, after all, the pacifiers, vongola and other ring sets all comprise of seven. Quite surprised to know that the former vindice was one man with a baby. do not forget that in the anime, daemons illusions were thwarted by mukuro

while the anime was taken from the manga itself, the opposite doesn't always apply. and some of the arcs in the anime are just filler arcs. there's no basis that they are a fact.

I read the chapter and the first thought in my mind was could the clear acroboleno ring replace the sky ring that was sacrificed? I know that the anime went on its own direction, but we all read that the sky acroboleno gave her life up. Since the rest of the items Tsuna's group were kept after the explanation from the Vindice this acroboleno ring will been in there possession also. I have three ideas of what will happen in the next chapter.

1. Bermuda Von Vichtenstein may had explain to Primo and Cozart since you two agree that the resolve of the Spade problem will be covered up he would wait till there promise is broken and clear the past to the future bosses of each family. This would lead to the idea that the items were possessions of either Primo or Cozart in the first place. (excluding the clear acroboleno ring)

2. As the group freaks out of what happens they fear of Enma lock after all they have gone through and Tsuna may make a promise that Reborn may not. For example, " I will free you from the Vindice prison."

3. In the fight with Mukuro and Spade, Spade will hurt Mukuro to a point that Chrome will be back and Tsuna's group will fight Spade to create enough time for Chrome to break the rock and collect the mist gear.

Well this was a great chapter and hope the adrenaline in the writing and picture keeps coming.

Uhm hows that possible :blink because mukoro has two and flan got one and that kawahira dude and not to forget the genkishi had one the only one we know nothing about is the horn shaped one [6 rings total]

That might be a good possibility, since after all, Enma has to get outta the vindice situation and Mukuro can't get the glory all the time, (VS Byakuran, he technically lost and in the end, Tsuna was the one who won)

But everyone's saying the Vindice is a new arcobaleno...maybe the reason why Vindice has the arcobaleno pacifier is because he TOOK it from Luce? When an arcobaleno is gone, their pacifier loses their color and turns clear, or dead. Reborn might be so pissed because it's Luce's pacifier Vindice has. ......but who knows?

I can't wait for the end of this whole Shimon arc, more info on Primo and beginning of Vongola, the whole secrecy around the Vindice, and maybe even about the arcobalenos and why they were created. And at the end, maybe Tsuna will make his final decision to be a boss or tear down Vongola? x3

That is a good theory... although it was quite unlikely to happen.

If we look at the Arcobaleno Trials Arc in the anime, Aria succeeded as the Sky Arcobaleno. So, it was quite improbable that they got the pacifier from Luce. Also, in the future, Uni got the pacifier...

Also, if we try to look at the situation historically... their transformation just happened 25 - 35 years before the current timeline... which is centuries after the time where Bermuda appeared with Vindice.

So what if Vindice can travel thru time (they can split the space and shows up like mushrooms so its possible ) and what if the baby arcobaleno is Reborn and Bermuda is Tsuna from the future and also i notice that Bermuda has 2 rings on his fingers the other one is covered with bandages

my other theory about the clear one is

i don't really know what timeline is Primo and Cozart if they are in mid 30's like Reborn and Luce so if they are not with the same timeline then Vindice is like Descendants of all mafia family because they protect the rules of the mafia world if primo and cozart knows them that mean every mafia family on that timeline knows them

the other one is "what if" all of the former sky flame or earth flame boss that died will come on a trial to become part of Vindice :)

I agree with you but i think the next arc or even at the end of this arc we are gonna see Vongola+Arcobalenos VS Vindice.
