There are situations so much worse. I have it so good compared to others, that's doubtless. That light of thinking has some relief in it, but in the end it doesn't change the circumstances or the feelings surrounding it. You know?

Having divorced parents really sucks, but it isn't uncommon anymore. I just don't see why divorce is such a harsh and hate-filled process when it doesn't have to be. The parents often loose sight of how they're affecting their children when they should be setting an example of how falling out of love or having something not work out doesn't have to end with an atomic bomb on peace and being civil.

It doesn't have to be....but people are selfish you know...and some people just aren't capable of deeper emotions...but falling out of love after you have children is very much alike an atomic bomb.

As I said I haven't had any personal experience in such matters, but....I've been in relationships...and when it ends, it's frustrating, that's pretty much the basic idea...now multiply that with infinity by adding marriage, and children to the idea...the frustration is immense, and leads to hatred and such, so in a way I find that understandable.

But I agree on the fact that at least be civil...there's no excuse for not being civil, and no real reason to be selfish either.

I think I've said it a million times, but divorce does horrible things to people. The only thing is trying to figure out if he's always been this way and the process exacerbated it, or if he changed into it from something different. I'd like to think he wasn't always like this.

I don't know much about your case, but I think that divorce itself does not do horrible things to people. I believe that people do not need any societal device (not at this kind of age anymore, at least, because the root of one's lack of wisdom/composure takes place far sooner in life imho, and ultimately not this particular device) to make themselves suffer. When I look back sometimes, and try to picture what my family could have been these last 17 years without this option, I can't see anything brighter arising. I'm actually quite sure that it would have ended anyway, with a lot more of collateral damages.

Sucky thing about divorces is that both sides tend to get bitchy. They either want this or that and it culminates into a big fight. I guess they ultimately lose sight of who's really affected by all this when they decide to get petty. It's a shame because their actions do have a long-term affect on kids, even scaring them from commitment just by seeing how their parents act.

Very few parents, from the looks of it, realize it's about their kids. They'll let their kids buy adult video games, watch adult movies, go through nasty divorce, but they won't do much to take care of 'em. "Oh, he's just a kid, let him do whatever!" "Pfft, when I was 15 I was fucking a boy a week! She's tame by comparison." Don't see why it's hard to pretend to go through a nice divorce or be more firm on the kids, but looks like parents want to win the Best Parenting Award or something.

It's a lot easier to Hate than it is to Love. I'm not sure why our brains were wired that way, but I guess it makes love that much more rewarding. Love is a lot more dynamic than Hate is. You either hate something/someone or you don't, but there are so many variances to love. Maybe it's because patience doesn't factor at all into whether you hate something/someone, in fact it's the opposite.

So which one is more powerful? Probably depends on the person, but the reason hate is so much more recognizable is probably because it's easier.

I guess hate is part of our feeling to help us survive. If we hate someone, we're more willing to fight them to survive - killing that person or damaging them means their belongs to ours. Or it was so before rules were established long ago, I guess. Could be hate doesn't exist and comes from pettiness and desire for payback, among other stuff?

I'd say love was more powerful. Luke Skywalker and Naruto prove it. Hatred is powerful in the short run, but I guess it doesn't inspire a person to continue. Even after you're beaten, you'll still keep going for that someone, no matter what the price is. Despite Gaara's killing intent, Naruto refused to back down because he wanted to save Sakura and prove to Gaara that his way was wrong, I guess.

Plus, love can change people for the better. Not always, but it has the power to. Hatred can change people for the worse, or just around the person they hate.

Hate can be a defense mechanism. Like having an issue with someone because they're too similar to yourself, or if they remind you of someone or something. I always tend to have the opinion that Hate has a much more immature feeling to it. Overlooking your children to do so only strengthens that opinion.

I find it far more effortless to love than to hate. Very seldom have I found myself truly feeling a powerful hatred towards anyone that I've personally known. And when I have discovered myself in those instances, I searched relentlessly through feelings to try and dispel it. I think hatred is uncomfortable and unpleasant, and intimidatingly powerful. I recognize the fact that it can and often overpowers love, which is something I find a much better use of my emotions, time, and energy. Showing affection is something I struggle with very much, but just because I don't say "I love you" doesn't mean I don't experience it more than I would ever be able to express with words.

That's just my take on things.

It definitely wasn't dry skin. XD It was like little welts on my arms, legs, neck and cheeks. :s And it wasn't a normal kind of itching. It was like AW MAH GAWD CLAW MAH SKIN OFF:arf

But I took two Benadryl and woke up the next morning as if nothing had happened. Guess it wasn't too severe is Bendryl could get rid of it. Besides, I moistureize errday. :arf

Yes! I bought it last night since we just got a GameXChange. It's like GameStop, only they have a lotttt more old-type games there than GameStop does. And seeing as there are four different GameStops in my reach, but no other video game store similar, I was REALLY happy when this store opened!

I found Harry Potter and Yu-Gi-Oh! games for my sister on Gameboy Color. My N64 was only $25. :nod I need to get Majora's Mask, Ocarina of time, Donkey Kong, Golden Eye, Super Smash Bros... Ahhh. I made a 92 on my sixth quant lab report and a 93 on my o-chem practical. And once again my o-chem lab instructor was like, "if it's an acid, what does that usually mean in organics?" Now if only I could get my shit together in quant lecture. xP And I found out something that REALLY pisses me off in there. On the last exam, the standard deviation was about 30. And the prof was like "that's really horrible, I can't believe it's that high. You guys don't study." Well guess what? Apparently this fucking idiot teacher (I don't understand how someone so smart, with a doctorate in quantitative chemistry can be so stupid and careless) uses the SAME exams from last year. And several students in the class have all of them. So YEAH, dumbass. The standard deviation is 30 fucking points because 10 students in here only have to study and memorize a couple concepts the night before, and then there are the students like me who have two other labs and three other classes struggling to even find TIME to look at your 500 pages of notes and have to sit here and guess which concepts are going to be on the exam! :rant I was so pissed. Not to mention, those bitches who have the exam and aren't sharing are going to be the reason there's no curve and that I make a D in the class. !#($%*#($*%#( I'm going to have to figure how to get my hands on that GD exam. Disagree about it being impossible. Deliberate, written word is just another means to learn about someone. A different facet of their personality. It might not be as organic as actual conversation, but it's more thoughtful in some ways. I guess it depends on the person though. Some are much more eloquent in person, some are more eloquent online, some are neither, and some are both.

well that's just how everyone acts, being all nice while feeling grumpy is definitely not an easy case. It's actually way better to show how you really feel at the moment as long as you aren't letting out all you negative emotions on one person

A creator? There's nothing to believe, there either is or there isn't. Since I have no way of knowing it isn't important to my everyday life. I was raised Catholic, so I'd like to think I try to live morally based on what I think is moral. Religion has an influence there, I just eliminate all the shit I don't agree with. If there's a God or creator or whatever and he created everything we see it wouldn't matter whether I believe in him or not. Why would he/she/it care? And if I end up being completely wrong and I'll have to be judged for my life, so be it. It's not going to affect how I live it though. Just think how lucky we are to actually exist, and the millions upon billions of people/organisms that don't purely due to the phenomenon of life. Saying that there's a righteous reason and divine existence behind that sort of cheapens it in a way IMO.

The only thing I'm iffy on is your conscious mind. I can't see how that just...disappears. I guess that's what some consider a soul. Who knows?...oh that's right, nobody

I suppose so. I'm generally not an outwardly emotional person, at least not in the case of negative feelings. But how you think you come across and how you're actually perceived can be different. I'm generally more of a placid person than a histrionic one.

I am Call of Duty fan. Never really liked CS. Duke Nukem is the only FPS I played like crazy. I remember when it was released, it was huge. It changed how FPS used to be. I still recall the satisfaction I had when I defeated the last boss in the arena / stadium. GE was famous and good, but it never excited me.
