Like, how would you wanna fight if you had an option to? Weapons, martial arts, fist fighting, sexy sexy no fight, etc?

Hmm... in a real fight, I would probably use fists though if there are weapons, I would run away. :XD

However, martial arts and weapons are usually cool to use.

I thought it was some kinda sick joke until I realised I couldn't post! :scry

Congrats on another continuation thread wife-chan, What number is this? 3-4?

LOL I was confused as well.

This is my third one now. :)

Would you roundhouse kick someone, backspin kick someone, or tickle someone?

kakashi919
June 01, 2011, 08:49 PM
Tickle someone? :lmao

Now that I would like to see. Being mugged and she decides to tickle someone :rofl

Btw, nice set M3j

goldb
June 02, 2011, 02:47 AM
riki, the violent type? :o

riki
June 02, 2011, 06:23 PM
Yes, I would tickle them to death. :kukuku

*ahem* I'm not violent at all.

M3J
June 02, 2011, 09:28 PM
WHY?! That's just evil. :mad

riki
June 02, 2011, 09:39 PM
Are you ticklish? :amuse

M3J
June 02, 2011, 09:52 PM
Somewhat, but that's still worse than letting someone die from punctured lung. :(

Even beating them with bat sounds less evil.

riki
June 02, 2011, 09:56 PM
But it's less painful.

M3J
June 02, 2011, 10:02 PM
But it's evil because tickling is the worst kind of torture.

How would you like it if I tickled you, eh? D:

A stinker? :s sorry, I'm unfamiliar with that expression! :sweat

riki
June 03, 2011, 08:14 AM
It just means that you're being silly or mischievous. I usually call the kids that or "silly goo-goo". :XD

goldb
June 03, 2011, 08:18 AM
Hahaha "silly goo-goo" is funny! :lmao But I'm not mischievous at all :o I'm so innocent and naive :)

:kukuku
are you not working today?

riki
June 03, 2011, 08:21 AM
I got the term from my mom when she used to call my siblings and me that so I'm just reusing it. LOL

And yeah, no work today. Apparently yesterday was the last teaching day and for the next three days, the teachers are doing fun activities (e.g. pool party, field day, etc.). I think a middle school science teacher is going to make ice cream with her students on Monday.

goldb
June 03, 2011, 08:34 AM
Ahhh your mum sounds like a cool spontaneous person! :D

Aren't you gonna do anything for your students? or can't you cos you're a sub? :s

riki
June 03, 2011, 08:36 AM
Yeah, she is. :amuse

No, I can't. I'd subbed in different schools and age groups that it would be impossible for me to do anything for all of them. I usually just wish them a good summer.

goldb
June 03, 2011, 09:00 AM
What? No! choose your favourite class and treat THEM, it's may be unfair but it's not just them that are missing out; you are too....kinda :s

I'm off to work now, won't be back til 1am so keep my food in the fridge :bye

riki

ghostexiled
June 03, 2011, 11:09 AM
I did... wasn't last being called "Stream"?

They are suppose to reveal the new system next week @ E3.

This site is following the whole event: http://www.gametrailers.com

seen the new Tomb Raider (http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2011-tomb-raider/714562) trailer?

riki
June 03, 2011, 11:19 AM
Yeah, I frequently that site a lot and usually post their trailers at the Video Game Hangout thread (http://mangahelpers.com/forum/showthread.php/145-The-Games-Hangout-Thread-E3-2011-Edition). :amuse

I haven't heard the rumor that Project Cafe is now known as Stream now. I've seen the link but I didn't watch the trailer since I'm not really a TR fan.

ghostexiled

I am not either.

But Square Enix is rebooting the franchise.

The trailer is pretty cool CG... it might be pretty fun to play this time around.

It does look interesting but I'll wait for the reviews before I check it out.

What game are you playing right now?

ghostexiled
June 03, 2011, 11:30 AM
Yeah I always read/watch reviews before playing/buying games. :)

Been going back and collecting the trophies for the Uncharted games and Infamous.

You?

riki
June 03, 2011, 11:33 AM
I'm currently playing Atelier Rorona (my new set) and trying to get more trophies as well. It's going to be tough though since I'm trying to get all 30 endings. :faint

BTW, did you read about Uncharted 3: Collector's Edition?

ghostexiled
June 03, 2011, 11:39 AM
I did see that just yesterday.

I wish I had money... they want 100 for it.

riki
June 03, 2011, 11:42 AM
I know. It's so expensive but it's not as expensive as Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten Premium Figure Set (http://store.nisamerica.com/Home/Disgaea-4-Set-Preorder-Reminder-).

:wtf where is your set from riki?

riki
June 03, 2011, 03:24 PM
@m3j
Oh Milly... What should I do with you?

@kakashi
It's from Atelier Rorona (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atelier_Rorona). ^^

The sig is a cutscene in which Rorona, her teacher, and her friends went to the beach so she could find some alchemy materials, but she had fun instead of looking for them. :XD

kakashi919
June 03, 2011, 03:33 PM
Oh it's a game :o

I've never heard of this series before... oh
Will have to check out the earlier releases then ^^

Did you enjoy the game?

riki
June 03, 2011, 03:35 PM
It's very different from your typical JRPG. It's like a slice-of-life with some RPG elements. In the Atelier series (except Iris and Mana Khemia series), you need to manage your time well.

I enjoy playing it. In fact, I'm replaying it right now since I'm attempting to get all 30 endings.

kakashi919
June 03, 2011, 03:39 PM
.....

30 endings? :blink

That's quite a lot... I would be satisfied with 5 lol

riki
June 03, 2011, 03:52 PM
Well, it's according to siliconera (http://www.siliconera.com/2010/07/13/guess-how-many-endings-atelier-rorona-has/)

Let's see... here are the endings according to the trophy list

- True ending
- Good ending
- Normal ending
- Bad ending
- 7 character endings
- Pie ending
- Millionaire ending
- Adventurer ending
- Game over

Anyway, I'm so happy that Amazon has shipped my Atelier artbook (http://www.amazon.com/Atelier-Official-Chronicle-Gust/dp/1926778200/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1307141821&sr=8-1). Its release date kept changing from May to June to August to July to finally back to June. >.>

Oh, sweet. Gotta love Amazon's inconsistency. You have prime?

riki
June 03, 2011, 07:24 PM
It's not that bad. The other artbooks I ordered are also delayed many times. I think the issue is with the publishing company.

No, I don't. I just use the regular one and choose free shipping.

M3J
June 03, 2011, 07:31 PM

goldb
June 03, 2011, 08:05 PM
Had one of the most boring shifts at work today. Was doing bar work for what turned out to be a free-mason's festival dinner! :o No offence but if I knew I wouldn't have taken that shift. But these people have serious money; they managed to raise £1.6 Million in one night without holding auctions or anything :jawdrop!

How was your day riki-chan? And what did you cook for me today?

riki
June 03, 2011, 09:19 PM
Damn, that is a lot of money. :o What is the money for?

My day was good. Umm... I made you your favorite dinner, [insert favorite meal].

M3J
June 03, 2011, 09:51 PM
Find out, it's worth it if you use Amazon a lot!

I don't think my Prime has expired and it was supposed to like few months ago. So worth it! \o/

goldb
June 04, 2011, 03:42 AM
Damn, that is a lot of money. :o What is the money for?

My day was good. Umm... I made you your favorite dinner, [insert favorite meal].

I think they're just raising money for underpriviledged kids or something. They were quite stuck up and rude people too. You get that sometimes but not with so many people :s

This (http://www.congocookbook.com/vegetable_and_side_dish_recipes/saka_saka.html) is my favourite meal, Ironic that it's vegetables and I love meat!!! We eat that with rice. It's more or less a national dish.

riki
June 04, 2011, 08:14 AM
Ugh... I really hate those type of people who think others are beneath them. I bet they weren't generous with the tips either.

I've never heard of that meal before (but then there aren't any Congolese restaurant or a lot of Congolese people living in my area) but it sounds delicious.

Nope, I didnt get any tips; but then again you don't expect to get tips working behind a bar. If I was doing wine waiting then yes, I would be screwing that I didn't get something.

Yeah don't worry, there aren't many congolese restaurants ANYWHERE!!! :fail but yeah that's some nice food. I've got a pic of how it looks somewhere on my phone, I'll upload it later when I find the strength http://www.laymark.com/i/o/55.gif

riki
June 04, 2011, 01:35 PM
Really? My sister works at a restaurant and one of her coworkers, who is a bartender, gets tips. Maybe it's a cultural thing...

I told my mom about saka-saka and she thought it sounds yummy as well. I can't wait to see the pic. :amuse

goldb
June 04, 2011, 01:51 PM
Yeah that's waiting service, not bar. Unless it's a restaurant bar where you pool your tips together and whatnot. But when it's a single one day event, you won't really get anything unless 1.you're a wine waiter 2. make an impression on the customer.

When I did restaurant waiting for a 5 day event, I made about £100+ at the end of those 5 days; and that was after pooling the tips together and splitting between 16 people :smugbunny. The most I've ever made in one day is £120-something :D. I pooled it to share with everyone, then I realised at the end that no one else pooled their money and kept their own and we split all of my tips! http://www.laymark.com/i/o/28.gif

riki
June 06, 2011, 02:53 PM
I agree. The weapon customization was the best part of Microsoft press conference. The voice recognition was very meh; you know it won't work as well when we get it.

I think the kid actors were annoying though since it's obvious that it's fake. >.>

Yeah pretty much agreed here...in addition I think that the voice recognition that was added for ME3 is a bit annoying...U say a thing, and then Sheppard says another...pretty awkward...

Have you seen EA? I think it will the best show at the end of the day, even though Ubisoft could deliver...there was just too much Bioware awesomeness...where are you watching E3 btw, or RU on scene?

riki
June 06, 2011, 03:44 PM
I missed part of EA's since I was shopping. Their games especially Overstrike look great.

I'm watching it from here (http://www.gametrailers.com/netstorage/e3/e3-live.html)

What game(s) and/or console news are you anticipating the most?

I'm curious about the NGP (or Vita) and Nintendo's new console

Yeah...Overstrike trailer was funny...What's the reason for the collateral damage?...Enthusiasm...:rofl...

Well I'm an RPG player, so the top of my list are definitely ME3 and Star Wars the Old Republic...though I have to say NFS:Run looked cool as well...but mainly the first two...oh yeah...and Tomb Raider will awesome as well...

But I'm a PC player...so my anticipation goes as far as games that will be released on PC....but I just love watching HD trailers of badass games, even if they are console ones

riki
June 06, 2011, 03:53 PM
The humor from Overstrike was what sold me. :lmao

I agree; the trailers are very entertaining to watch. I won't buy all of the games being displayed but it's fun to watch their trailers.

I think the video is delayed since Kotaku already has info posted about AC:R before it even aired.

Yup...most of the videos and trailers mostly are delayed though...SW and ME3 are in production for quite some time, and trailers already exist...several for SW and one for ME3...but the new stuff are the demo gameplay videos...

Got go now...sleep tight!:bye

Hey riki~

Any games you saw in E3 that you're definitely getting?

Just checked the link you posted, what do you think about Darkness 2?

riki
June 06, 2011, 06:35 PM
My brothers and I are definitely getting Dark Souls but other than that, I have no idea.

Overstrike looks very intriguing though.

I haven't seen Darkness 2 yet so I haven't decided.

What games are you getting?

kakashi919
June 06, 2011, 08:01 PM
None lol. I just got back my rig up and running and have a lot of games to catch up on. Dragon Age 2,Starcraft 2,Witcher 2,CoD Black Ops and some more.

When I'm finished with them I'll get the newer ones.

riki
June 07, 2011, 12:43 PM
Man, I really need to save up my money for the Vita and Wii U. >.>

M3J
June 07, 2011, 03:07 PM
You should probably test 'em out before buying them and wait it out. It's known that first editions tend to suck, like PS3 and 360. Later versions were greatly improved on and cheaper at more memory.

riki
June 07, 2011, 05:29 PM
I know. I'll probably wait to see if there will be a bundle or not.

Too bad the later PS3 doesn't have backward compatibility though. :darn

kakashi919
June 07, 2011, 05:46 PM

June 07, 2011, 08:58 PM
Kinda good PS3 doesn't, otherwise I'd be busy playing SvR 06 and if it could play PS games, then Rival Schools as well. Ever played Rival Schools? T'was pretty awesome.

BTW, my brother got my mom addicted to inFAMOUS now. At first she had no idea what kind of game he was playing but now she is interested in what is going on. She also tries to help him as well (e.g. "There's one [Reaper] behind you!"). :XD

But I do remember my dad assisting him in a game he was once playing but he kept telling my dad that he was distracting him and was so funny!! "you're only making it worse, I know what I'm doing"

I did. I like. :3 Stupid Reapers keep shooting me with guns though, it's annoying. Why can't they be like medieval villains and come at me with swords or bats or something, much easier. <_<

She wasn't that annoying, really. I didn't even die when I was up against her. Just need to zap her few times and then jump on her back and then mo- oh, you should know, I have the game on the easy setting. <__<

M3J
June 11, 2011, 12:02 AM
I think it might take him a while. Just go on missions, I guess. That's a good way to free the district, unless the only way is to do side quests? Or one of the ways anyway.

I just ended up in another area after defeating that psycho bitch. The enemies are more powerful. ._.

ghostexiled
June 11, 2011, 02:36 AM
Part 2 is 5x times better!

They have divided the powers up even more now. Good=Ice and Bad=Fire... on top of keeping your electric powers.

If you don't like the Reapers you really aren't going to like the last 2 types of enemies... :)

They only get stronger and harder to kill from here on out.

The more missions you do... the more XP you get. The more XP you get... the more powers you get.'

You also want to take time and collect blast shards to increase your health.

Also get the Dead Drops... cause they tell you what has been going on behind the scenes.

If you wish to know the WHOLE story and all...

Teaching went pretty well. How was school?

As for the free PS3 games, I picked inFAMOUS and Stardust HD but I've read that people with multiple accounts choose all five free PS3 and four PSP games. :plot

Arrogance
June 13, 2011, 02:33 PM
Yes, people can get all of them, you can share ps3 accounts and playstation actually encourages it too except in this scenario i guess it backfired a bit. Your downloads you have purchased can be redownloaded i think up to 5 times so people share the accounts to other systems and they can be downloaded a second time. So if you had more than one you can share with yourself and download the other games as well.

School went really well. I got all A's so thats a 4.00 for the semester which boosted my overall GPA to a 3.79. I need to get it to a 3.85 to be able to get summa cum laude when i graduate so thats a personal goal of mine for the next year. :)

I like it though I heard the sequels are much better. The only problem is that you have to have good time management if you want get a lot of things accomplished (you have three years to finish twelve assignments from the government (three months per assignment) and at the same time, go exploring, create items via alchemy, and increase your popularity and friendship). Exploring and creating items take days so you have limited time. You can always go to youtube to watch some gameplay if you're interested, I don't think it's your type of game though. :sweat

I'm getting Record of Agarest War Zero (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Record_of_Agarest_War_Zero). Luckily, the special edition isn't awkward like the last one. >.> If I like it, I might d/l the first game from PSN.

It didn't thunderstorm at all so the humidity is double ick. Columbus (supposedly the biggest firework show in the Midwest :eyeroll) usually has it on July 1st or 2nd; I guess they didn't want to compete against Boston or NYC.

I think I know what you mean. It would be awkward staying at a relative's house since you have to abide to his or her rules and you don't want to make a bad impression. When my family visited my (now deceased) grandmother, we usually rent a hotel room.

My mom uses coupons and checks for discounts as well but sometimes she would buy a treat for us too. ^^

Ohio's midwest? I thought it was east. O_o But lulz at not competing against NYC, good idea.

Oh, that's not why as I'm used to it. It's more with germs issues and stuff. I've been told I yell at night too, so there's that. I also apparently sleeptalk sometimes, which is not a good thing since I have perverted thoughts. :( Impression is important though, so that's another reason why. But lulz at rules. :hurr

Lucky. My mom rarely used to do that unless I begged hard since it wasn't on sale. I remember throwing tantrums to get my way and it working. \o/ I sometimes wonder if she knows sales are useless if the items won't be used.

Hmmm... one of my high school classmates clicked her pen a lot just to see if I was bothered by it but I wasn't. I guess I'm also patient enough to help a struggling student. What's your challenge? :3c

They probably would.

LOL Yeah, I like animals but I'm allergic to cats though they're so cute :luv

Behavior. And, I can do a lot more than clicking my pen. :3c Imaginative mind = imaginative ways to get in trouble. :>

They probably won't. Hopefully the ones that do don't come in this thread. :ninja

Aki is heartbroken. You should wear a mask or something, then.

You prefer to think old style or modern style?

I added you. And don't worry, you just need to avoid bein spammed by Ghostie and Dermie. Together, us three are known as the FB Spammer Duo. Though in actuality we just tend to spam each other's status updates and stuff. <_<

riki

Modern style most of the times

I don't think I have dermie's FB account. Is that a good thing?

I guess almost everything. I really don't like wearing skimpy clothes though.

Good luck and have fun. If you understand what they say, then please translate for me. \o

The former

I'll try my best

M3J

5'2"

Well, I can interpret my dad's Engrish. Would that work? LOL

M3J
July 06, 2011, 12:27 AM
No, it's fun to bite noses.

Shweet. How's bein 5'2" treating you?

Not necessarily since he can be understandable. Dermie and Johnny are... WEIRD weird.

riki

Good, I guess. How tall are you?

I'm sure that they will disagree

M3J
July 06, 2011, 01:44 PM
What?

I'm 5'8 or 5'9. Do you find it hard to reach stuff when you need something?

Probably, but most others would agree. They're entertaining though.

riki
July 06, 2011, 03:22 PM
You know what.

I usually tiptoe or step on the bottom shelf to grab something on top. If I'm desperate, I'll ask someone to help. :XD

Gotcha

M3J
July 06, 2011, 05:46 PM
I do not know what. In fact, no one does. We've spent our lives trying to know what, but we are no closer to the knowledge than we were thousands of years ago.

When have you ever been desperate? :o Pizza crust? Noodles on top shelf? Pudding? :O

But I got your nose! Yohohohoho

riki
July 06, 2011, 07:31 PM
You're being profound in what should be a simple answer. :oh

Never actually.

I would have make a remark but it would sound wrong.

M3J
July 06, 2011, 07:40 PM
Profound or simple? It all depends on a point of view, which is unfortunately limited to one's comprehension, which can be lack of in most cases.

You ever thought about buying a grabber thingie? Like, where you use the stuff to grab things out of reach? Dad for some odd reason (or mom?) bought it home, I tried it a few times. Dropped quite a few stuff, and sometimes I wasn't fast enough to catch the stuffs. Glass/metal/ceramic can be painful. :oh Ever had that experience?

Do make the remark, I'm curious.

@M3J
My mom did buy one but we haven't used it yet. :XD

@Haze
Thanks! You're talking about the thread title, right?

Actually I got the title from a song

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kZv6esm_8gU

My high school World History teacher told my class that his roommate would play that song whenever he's high. :XD

BakaHaze
July 06, 2011, 11:15 PM
:lmao the song's great

...err...high? :XD wow...what a song to be singing lol

Reminds me of my teacher talking about 2001: space odyssey where all these guys would be smoking pot in the cinema as they watched it...>_>

M3J
July 06, 2011, 11:41 PM
You should use that. D:

What made him share that story, and what made you remember it now?

riki
July 07, 2011, 08:49 AM
@Haze
Teachers tell students interesting things now.

@Milly
LOL I'll find a use for it... eventually

I think he told us the story to explain why he plays the song for us sometimes. He bragged to us once that his friends and he craved out a hole in the bottom of a sofa to put a small refrigerator in so that they can enjoy a nice, cold six pack of "milk". LOL

As for why, the song just got into my head.

M3J
July 07, 2011, 11:41 AM
That's a scary thought, but I'm perverted, so I thought of a perverted use for it. :oh

HOw small was the fridge or how big was the sofa? WTF? O_O

May I poke your pony?

riki
July 07, 2011, 02:14 PM
I don't know; we didn't ask him

Hell no, pervert. :modsmack

BakaHaze

riki

It could imply something perverted though...

BakaHaze
July 07, 2011, 06:31 PM

M3J
July 09, 2011, 08:56 PM
HOW can it be perverted?

YOU ARE PERVERTED, RIKI-CHAN! Very very perverted.

Just what could a person do that's perverted with a poke? SO WEIRD!

BakaHaze
July 10, 2011, 07:13 AM
lol Riki you're a teacher? Awesome like GTO? What do you teach?

Also, the title of that link reminds me of that random British teacher who was about to be fired for being too hot or something.:XD

:lmao with that text...

riki
July 10, 2011, 07:50 AM
@Milly
Nice! :thumbs

@Haze
Yep, I'm a teacher though I'm just subbing right now. :darn

My major was special education though I usually sub for regular elementary education teachers as well.

BakaHaze
July 10, 2011, 08:05 AM
Ah, good luck becoming full time!

Sub teachers usually have it the worst because the kids think they can get away with what they don't usually do...

riki

Thanks!

Yeah, some kids tried to get away with stuff but I think most of the kids like me. It helps that I know some of the things they like

@Ice
Thanks!

Some of the chibi are parodies of gaming characters. Some of them are very obvious. :p

Naomidee
July 10, 2011, 01:01 PM
Riki, I didn't know you were a substitute teacher right now!
That's so cool.
I wish I had an awesome substitute teacher that loved D.Gray-Man :hearts

But, yeah good luck on finding a permanent teaching job or even a long term sub job~!
And god bless you for putting up with young children. :worship

riki
July 10, 2011, 02:30 PM
Yeah, it's pretty cool if I notice someone reading DGM or other manga, I usually start a conversation with them, which really surprise them. :XD

Of course I don't do that during lesson time and whatnot. ^^

I don't mind little kids since they're still in the age where they want to please the adults. LOL Middle school students are decent (just the drama and cliques are annoying) but I don't want to work with high school students since most of them are taller than me. :sweatdrop However, I have a friend who is the exact opposite of me; she loves working with high school students but hates working with elementary kids.

Naomidee
July 10, 2011, 06:43 PM
I would abhor teaching any of those ages. XD Not to mention, I don't have enough patience to be a teacher of anything.

I really think teacher are wonderful though :wtf I've only had a couple teachers that I didn't absolutely love. They make such a huge impact on my life. That, and they do something I would never be able to. Not to mention they don't get paid nearly enough for doing it. :darn

Anyway, do you specialize in a specific subject?

riki
July 10, 2011, 07:07 PM
My main focus is special education (preschool and mild/moderate aka learning disabilities)

xi0
July 11, 2011, 09:21 AM
In my senior year of Highschool I worked with kids in the Special Education program, since I was an aide to the lady who ran it. It's really rewarding, even though I didn't expect it to be. I'd probably find it easier teaching older kids than younger kids.
