[DeBaron8]

Hello everyone,

I have been doing digital art for about one year. I started by doing manga colorings and then began making sigs. Most of the sigs I made were for the Bi-weekly sig contest on MH. Which gave me inspiration to learn how to make better sigs.

I'm a GIMP user, so everything in my gallery was made in GIMP 2.6.

Please feel free to leave comments or any advice for improvements, since I'm still learning. Thanks^^

Whoa, great works! There is a difference in the style of your old sigs and newer sigs. I like the new ones better because you added more effect, but not too much to make it too crowded. Well done! ^__^

Thanks for the comment. :D You're right, I realized I had too much in my sigs which made them messy, I got better at streamlining them and adding less. :)

So much progress since the last time I logged in. You are on the right tracks! keep it up and try some other tutorials to avoid similarity.

I know I need to read more tutorials, I just can't ever find any that are really different, they still result in similar sigs. :x Idk, maybe it is just me and I always pick similar tutorials, but if you have any to recommend I would really appreciate it. XD

I also updated my Newest request sig section with three new entries and I should update my coloring again very soon.^^ After that I might not update this much for the next couple months.

I know I need to read more tutorials, I just can't ever find any that are really different, they still result in similar sigs.
BTW, I'm not saying that your signatures are the same. It's just that when you stop using new tutorials, your progress as a sig maker slows down.
Try this:
- Open up 3 or 4 tutorials (it doesn't matter if they are similar to ones you've tried before).
- Start one of them and stop at 25% then continue from the second one the one after ... etc.

What you gain from this method, is the ability to merge effects from different tutorials and make them work together. Later on, you'll be able to make signatures using all those effects. Because your brain automatically stores the most useful ones and discards the ones u don't find interesting.

Hello, I'm back so I finally updated my gallery after a long hiatus. I'm not coloring anymore, but I have added quite a few new sigs I made over the last month or two. I added a new tagwall under Newest Sigs and also added a few new sigs under Newest request sigs.

Hey everyone, just did a small update. Added a new section called Newest Manga Colorings, and put my new coloring of Sasuke from Naruto 574 there. I'm a bit out of practice, haven't colored in over 8 months. Also, a small update in the first post, I added 4 new sigs under the Fall 2012 spoiler tag.

Two are kinda crappy -> my first attempts at abstract art. xP

The other two are pretty good. xD

Oh, and I almost forgot, an update on my FT300 coloring! It's now a collab with Yahik0 on DA, he did Natsu and Wendy, I did the BG and Gajeel. my part is not finished though....so it's still just a preview. =(
