Looks like Negi has Evangeline's Shinso healing, huh?
Though how exactly is Rakan there? Wasn't he supposed to be unable to cross over to Mundus Vetus? Or did they use the Gateport to return to Ostia?

so yeah, seems like Negi has the same "immortality" as Eva, but to a lower degree. we also get to see Eva using Magia Erebea eh? seems like this is gonna be a pretty nice chapter.

heres is a summary on vetus of chapter 342, is the last lesson and negi still cant macht eva , so asuna is going to help, sadly the last fight whit the lifemaker is going to be another armor plot wining whit the power of love, since the lifemaker is stronger than eva. this inst even worthy anymore. they win the last time the same way you would expect something different or negi after lossing to eva getting stronger but the mangaka make clear that he doenst has the time to train, so if something radical doenst happen to change the way things are going negi and asuna would join hands and blast the guy away. it sucked the first time they did it, it would suck worst if they do it a second time. but since the actual plot to now doenst have introduce a new element or enemy to make them improve their skills they are going to figth the lifemaker as they are, saying something like we can do it together because of course is you are in a volcanic eruption you only have to joing ands and the lava will get a way, i know this inst the tipical shonen manga but it is a shonen manga and i dont want to generalize but most guys hate when the final battle turn in a freaking hippie comunity holding hands and singing songs, and the power of feelings. when they are complete overpower, i meant i can accept when they are evently match and the feelings give the heroe the last push, but what i cant tolerate is something like the last boss been invulnarable and then the heroe finding that he loves the girl and then poof he became a living god. just because he loves her. i never think that i would say this of negima because even when the manga make clear that having friends and partner is important, it was clear that is your not prepared or train enough like negi in the school travel to kyoto in the fight whit fate the difference cant be filled whit love, i meant is eva doesnt show up he would have lost and was clear that not amount of love would change that. but then the manga pulled a asuna DEUX E MACHINA in pure memories and feelings for negi when she alredy has her memorys back and coudnt defeat fate to stomp the lifemaker that is far stonger than any other character just because her clasmate joing hands to bring her back, you star to lose faith in the manga.

nah its kinda worse... becouse negi gained immortality and kinda is now deathless... he wont grow up just like eva.... he is stuck in this 10y old body of his.... so its a heavy price for peacefull days.... I wonder what price asuna had to pay... maybe she too wont grow up again... like the imperial princess memories were like immortal.... and her normal personality as asuna was like normal human able to grow up and age.... maybe fusing both parts made that she is stuck in her current look.... so a stop to her growing up hard to tell... till we hear it...

yet I wonder if negi is stuck in his 10y old age will he be allowed to have children later in future... or maybe he will need to relly on the magic age pills for that xD...... but still it sucks to be immortal becouse he will be forced to look on how others around him "friends, family" will die off while he will be forced to look on it.....if he marriers most of the current girls... he will still look on them aging and dieing.

so my guess is that he might look for the peace of both world all the time now... so 3-8-10years till the mars project is compleate is nothing since he will mostly live ethernally...


edit: ok the c342 is out.... hmm I wonder about asuna's price... maybe she had to sacrafice her status as imperial princess... or she had to sacrafice her beign able to live in one of the world... like she wont be allowed to live in magic world ever... or she will have to leave old world and all friends she made there and get back to magic world... (or even like negi problem with his body... she wont be allowed to have any children in her life... the ultimate sacrafic) we will see next chap I guess

like I said ealier there are many options like: she cant go back to magic world... or she will have to leave the old world and live in magic world... so she came to mahora kinda to see how everyone is doing and kinda say goodbye.... she wont be able to have children.... she will start to lose memory or asuna will start to beign swallowed by imperial princess vacum so kinda little by little till asuna disappears.... maybe she lost her immortality so she might age faster...

most likely asuna is going to be sealed again, didnt we just past for that, and again it turns in a race to save asuna, that happen in the first anime, in the second and now in the manga, negi ageless and asuna sealed, and they gonna get together in the future, is obius how is negi going end up, akamatsu sensei coul just tell that an spare us of this bullshit. that once again is bullshit that he alredy used and didnt work.

It is a bit pointless to post here about it since i don't think he checks this MH section (and i don't know if anyone here has an account in RHS forums who could notify them about it).

I just post it here for the sake of anyone who uses these forums. this is not the first time RHS has made a mistake (we all make them) and Ive suggested corrections (anyone remember the v2 of this chapter (http://www.batoto.com/read/_/13113/mahou-sensei-negima_v35_ch331_by_red-hawk-scans/7)?), but if I'm gonna keep on naggin them each and every single time, I might as well apply for a translator position. that said, I dont think Id have the time to do a proper job, so its kinda hypocritical of me to not want to join them but still be all over each and every single mistake I can spot.

I just posted this because I felt it the page made so much more sense this way (Setsuna's immediate reaction and what not).

still, if you believe this is should be brought up to him, feel free to do so in my place or point him my way. I'm fairly sure my translation is more correct, anyway. Like I said, I just don't want to be the guy who keeps complaining but refuses to do the work himself for whatever reason.

Does this mean that the future has been completely changed? If Negi is stuck with a child's body like Eva, doesn't that mean he can't have kids? If that's the case, Chao-san, who is said to be his descendent, will never be born. Would this mean that the blood-stained future Chao-san was talking about has been changed? :confused:

It looks like he might be able to reproduce either way, if we accept that what Chao Lignshen was saying was all the truth. I say that because according to her testimony, Negi develops a family tree which leads to her being offspring of his descendant (and not DNA andriod from Negi). And remember, above all, Chao was trying to raise the awareness magic's existence to prevent the wars of inhabiting/invading Mars, without knowledge of her existence or tampering with the time flow. Meaning that by maintaining the knowledge of magic's existence a secret (which world wide it is), still leaves the chances of allowing the War to occur. Also increasing the chances that Negi can still reproduce and yield the family tree (the reasoning here is not logical but the statistical exploration of the hypotheses by correlation, since she said she doesn't lie).

But one thing is certain, Ken wants his audience to know that the choices we make with courage are immutable (can't be changed), but how we can choose how we feel about them, and what we can do about those feelings onward (recurrent theme in his novels and speeches). So much so, that in the festival arc he allowed the chaos theory of time flow to be integral to the Negima series by having Negi meet with the past Negi has if that time lines were all ready present in the main time line (Yes, for all those who believe in Fate, here Ken is agreeing, but with a tad of sarcasm).

IOW, yeah, it looks like we get the blood-stained future after all. But what happens afterwards, its only a mystery.

From what I gathered though, from things like what Poyo said, and some thing from Chao herself, it does seems that in her timeline, Magic World collapsed, which seems something Negi will be able to prevent.

Now that you mention that, I think Poyo and Chao are talking about different catastrophes, since Chao lived 100yrs in the future in a Martian war, and Poyo was talking about his actions then lead to the magical collapse estimated to be in ten years. I can believe though it is a gradual degradation of MM due to the teraforming (which is why I believe teraforming is an idiotic idea). But to say that Negi was not able to transfer MMians and creatures to the teraform, that is conceivable.
Still we don't know how negi will prevent the Magical collapse of MM. Maybe that's what Asuna paid, her own life to extend MM from collapsing

thing is, even if the magic world collapses in 10 years, u still gotta wait for earthlings to get to mars and war it out. also, u dont know how long the war has been going on before Chao was born; she might have been born in the middle of it, meaning that the war started earlier than 100 years ago (from her point of view)

Another thing that makes me think that in Chao's timeline MW collapsed, and the normal humans were thrown at Mars (so CE plan failed or they did it but without Asuna) is:
*On Vol 12, ch105, last page, Chao comments when talking about the "underworld" (how they were calling the magic world back then) that the total population of mages is 67 million.
*On vol 29, ch 266, page 6, Godel comments he want to saves every single one of the 67 million fellow humans
*On vol 30, ch 272, page 13, Negi comments Godel only want to save those 67 million, while the MW population is much bigger.

Later on it shows those 67 million are the "real" humans living there. Godel wasn't considering the option of stopping the collapse, whihc mean all but the "real" humans would disappear with it. The reason Chao mentioned exactly that number also makes me think in her future only those survived, and the "puppets" would all disappear together with the magic world. Also if you reread the chapters where Negi talked with Godel, it seems a main reason he didn't end up teaming with him was because he already concluded the world was going to end because information from Chao. In Chao's timeline, as she wasn't there to make Negi go for that choice, he may have worked with Godel resulting in only saving the real people = not stopping the colapse of the magic world.

Yes, but then why would Poyo attack Negi on the tower if Negi already refused Godel's plan. I can assume she did not know, thus attacked Negi. But what made Negi decide above all to not join Godel was not the tip that MM was falling thanks to Chao, but that Godel contradicted himself when he said his plan conforms with his parents' ideals of saving everyone, not just the 67million. Call it my bluff, but I assume Negi would have still decided to not Join Godel because of that fatal statement (so biased).

Yes, thanks to Chao, Negi was able to decipher MM was falling, and included it in his refusal (as a way startle Godel more). But I agree that without it, he would not have worked hard to find a solution. Still it bothers me that Poyo would have allowed Cosmo Entelecheia to occur to pass on Chao's "wishes". I don't know if those were Chao's true wishes. Mmm....
