Holy s**t, talk about unpredictable, first it took my breath (I thought Jinie died, and Shioon would go crazy like GMR), but after looking at the translation from ChaoticKen, I relaxed. So many, many thnx ChaoticKen and happy holidays to you too - this was a kind of present that made not only me happy, but at the same time a lot of other people too, so thnx again.

PS: Sorry, I read your translation ASP and than immediately left out. There was no translation but yours at that time. Now I reread the entire chapter and noticed your translation was even more understanding (normal explaining), and did not have wattermarks (:blink) as that from A-team that I downloaded, anyway I'm only posting a little late... :eyeroll

My take on the story:

Jinie is unconscious, Yo Ji-Gun has injured shoulder. So Shioon is the only one still in well enought condition to fight after the accident. But to top it all, none other than a SUC "leader" had to appear out of the car... :fail

:yay finally we see action again. Shioon was incredible in this chapter, his training sure paid off, and now after meditation he is much more adjusted to how a murim fight looks like (how you are facing an opponent), but Shioon soon noticed that he still lacks to see the a high speed movements of an unknown opponent(when fought Gothic girl).

I'm totally on Shioon's side this time. I hope elder Kwon witnessed "everything up untill now" from his car !!!

The old granny did not train him phisicly, she was only preparing him mentaly (psychologically), but what is most important is that the granny has shown to Shioon a method how he can improve with a broken ki-center. At the end she was impresed how Shioon can learn such a difficult technique as meditation so easly. Sera was additionly also preparing Shioon psychologically, becouse she thought him how murim people think !!!

As far as I understood from the first training Shioon made with the granny and untill today, meditation means:

- creating a virtual reality where you have infinitive amount of ki, which means you can train without getting exhausted - no loosing ki. Well the time flies by (passes) the same as in reall life, so if you train for too long, you will naturaly get a little hungry, thirsty and tired after training, as any normal human after half a day or more/less time without food, water and sleep
- in meditation you can recreate all enemies you fought with, and all their "battle styles". After that, you can develop to you most suitable way to counter "a certain movement", or if you are really good even all movements, from a style that your enemy has.
- with meditation you can always polish your skills(never forget what you learnt, becouse you can recreate any battle you had untill now and everything you learned - new and old moves, with and without ki), even if your body doesn't produce ki, but only contains it

Wasn't the whole point of the Inner Fist Strike (or w/e it is called) that it goes through the outer defense and deals damage internally by sending a massive burst of ki into the opponent (remember the skull of that master (Sera's grandfather?) NAD killed at the very start of The Breaker Part 1). It seems that the only way to counter this technique, without dodging, is by sending similar amounts of ki back at the moment of impact, which, as I understand, is extremely hard to do and that is what makes this technique so amazing/deadly.

That's actually what I'm interested in. Whether the elder is truly willing to throw everything away like trash for the sake of the clan or not. Although I doubt we will get to see the answer to this question next chapter.

Even though Shioon has gained the upper hand on this SUC captain, his own , Jigun, and Jinie's position are still not enviable. There is still the other SUC captain and all of their goons that could appear. With Jinie the way she is now any one of their enemies could take advantage of that situation, by holding her hostage. That would even allow a Shioon who is superior to the opponent to become a punching bag yet again.

Perhaps that will be the trigger to the elder joining the fight. When he thinks Shioon is bloodied beyond his limit and they go to kill Jinie anyway.

Yeah it is not automatically a bone crusher since the amount of damage depends on timing (the punch has to land exactly where it was meant to otherwise the timing of the ki release is off and the attack loses most of its power), the amount of ki put into the strike and the skill level of the user (the precision and the accuracy with which the ki is released). In your first example Shioons fist was stopped in a different point than he intended therefore the ki release was wasted. In your 2nd example, Shioon actually did quite bit of damage to the internal organs:

I'm sure if there was a rib near the impact area, it would be broken, but in this case a broken rib is the least of Gyu-Bum's worries.

leg probably isn't broken (or it would be seen here (http://www.mangareader.net/the-breaker-new-waves/53/19) like this (http://www.mangareader.net/530-43583-2/the-breaker/chapter-43.html)), but damaged enough that glasses wouldn't be able to step on it anymore or fight as before.


the punch has to land exactly where it was meant to otherwise the timing of the ki release is off and the attack loses most of its powerit's not really matter where blow landed as long as timing of fist and release of ki was right. in cases where inner smashing fist didn't dealt expected damage, it was because opponens guarded it with some (equal-amount-of)ki-using measures. but they still get their ki-circulation disrupted.

If you look at the 2 links I posted, that strike on "lee" messed up his ki circulation and did damage to his internal organs. The one on hyuk probably had very little ki put into it and that why there was no apparent damage.

In any case, it seemed like Shioon surprised the SUC commander and was able to land the strike cleanly, if so, then that leg is seriously messed up even if not broken.

And on the last page...they all just look kinda goofy. This has been a trend for a little while, now. In the last chapter, Jinni was a bit thick in the neck and face, made her look kinda like a man with two huge balloons strapped on ;p.

Anyways, I think from the way the action is going, Shioon is going to follow up that punch to the leg with one to the stomach.

Manga-hosting sites are going to, well, host manga, there's no way around it. If you have a translation that is in demand, expect it to be posted regardless. Well, all that I care is that, only with looking at a story and pictures of manga/manhwa(a "raw" chapter, where the korean words are like hieroglyphs to me) that I instantly realize what the author ment !!!

In my opinion 1 week is a short time to do a lot better work, not to mention all the holidays at this time of a year, and that this is NOT the only story that a writter has. I also know that when I tried to draw something, 1 picture held the meaning of more than 1000 words (as a saying goes... :amuse).



Anyways, I think from the way the action is going, Shioon is going to follow up that punch to the leg with one to the stomach.

This time I highly anticipate(I really hope to see) foot movements ("HWEH" to avid opponents attack and gaze, and than "KYUK" to attack opponent in unpredicted way that is succesful only if the timing is right)... :XD

The most important for me is that I can read the text that a chapter contains in a language that I understand !!!

Well if I'm bothered by watermarks I go on daum or original source and look at raw release again, becouse, if there is a work that I like, I almost always go watch it in raw first, even if I get spoiled a little(:p), not to speak that with this I also help the author.

This raw chapter, I than place on screen, paralel with a translated chapter.

Bleh, I hope not. The "amnesia" plot twist is one of the worst possilbe plot twirst there is, if you ask me... Like others have said, I think Jinie being hurt and losing concioussness is just a way to have her remain unaware of Shioon having "regained" his power - I actually wouldn't be surpised if she's the last of Shioon's posse who learns of Shioon's method of temporarily regaining his power. Actually, I think that when she learns that he has found a way of regaining his power, if only temporarily, she might become somewhat depressed...


As for the rest of it: all good :D . Hope the leg was broken there - heh, that'll teach him to never underestimate his opponent :smile-big . Let's see where this'll take us in the next chapter though - from how things look there, Shioon should follow up with a punch in the stomach or something...

It would be great if that happened but i doubt that guy will go down by just that , actually i think a minor injury is the best thing Shioon accomplished at least for now .
We shouldn't underestimate that glasses guy 'cause he's much stronger than Goth girl and remember how much of a pain she was :^_^ and besides even smiling blade changed his attitude when he saw who they are dealing with . The situation may turn bad but i really hope Shioon's training and that pill will change this bad omen :darn

I may have worded my post wrong, but point is if your hit by the tech, its super effective at fucking you up physically. The pages you posted don't tell the whole story as the page right after those two pages shiwoon actually punches the guy offguard and he's a mess right after.

About ha-il and the others you mentioned they are running away for their lives. Sera had no intention to go where shiwoon was, otherwise shed be the one that drove him there. Ha-ill is fucked up and unconscious. So I think I'm pretty money about who can show up right there..even elder has a better chance at being there than sera and ha-ill.

I agree that Sera didn't want to go with Shioon to the place but she also had other ideas with Ha-Il. As for right now Sera is going to where Shioon is now. If she has a phone then she can call one of her subordinates to get the location of Shioon. As for his leg I think that one punch did changed the outcome of the fight. I keep looking at the leg and think is that blood coming from it. then even on the last panel it is white where Shioon hit it. I think it is broken and Shioon is going to stop Ji-Gun from killing him.

If the leg is not broken then he won't be able to push ki to that leg to plant like he did in trying to hit Ji-Gun. Which by itself will change the battle. Everyone underestimates Shioon except those that get to know him.

Sorry to jump off topic but I just wanted to give everyone here mad-ups for their knowledge about The Breaker universe. No other site on the net has people who know their stuff like you all do. I read these posts with almost as much interest as I do with the chapters themselves. Thank you for your insightful posts. Getting back to the topic, Shioon will win the day, maybe with some help and Jinie's grandfather shows up and seeing Jinie in the state she's in gets a wake-up call. The old man gives Jinie the best medical care a crime boss can give someone and he calls a mometary truce with Shioon. Shioon finds out that Jinie is in a coma and while maintaining his good guy persona, he goes batshit crazy in the face of the SUC. After taking out another general or two Shioon is there for Jinie to wake from her coma and he hugs her but Jinie asks "Who are you?"

SCS = use Ki to damage something internal - like the brain when GMR hit a master on the head and no signs of breaking the the head to smithereens that's why when Shioon attacked someone on the body they can't use ki or their ki can't circulate anymore

BCS= is the skill used by the bully guy that breaks the bone literally and also this one is used by the the School/Master of GMR killed on the 1st part i think he lost his eye when GMR is still a kid

Speaking of detailed - A-team recently released the foirst volume of The Breaker and I recall that the author & artist have said that the quality we see on Daum's site really doesn't do The Breaker justice and recommends buying the volumes for the "real thing" - but is the quality of the art in the volumes really that different? Didn't seem THAT much different to me from reading the first voume of New Waves that A-team released anyway...

Well of course the creators will say that to get us to buy it. I mean, ethically we should be buying The Breaker instead of DLing but the art quality really isn't that different. I mean sure if one has a crappy browser the art won't look the greatest but that's an entirely different matter.

Well that was to be expected actually. The original Breaker was bi-weekly. There just isn't time to do all the background work he used to do for a weekly serial.

He has, however, done an excellent job in keeping the feel of the original art imo. It's still loads more detailed than 90% of the works I read. Personally, I don't mind sacrificing a little bit of the background detail to get the story almost twice as fast. The extra art only matters to me when the story is completed.:tem Patience is not my strong point.

There were a few touch-ups, but it seems to me he was exaggerating the difference in hopes of marketing it to people who had already read it on Daum.

A-team made the scan and worked on it ... if you want to compare the quality, you should see the raw...
and besides if you look at the manga player in daum's site you'll understand what the autor is talking about...
