So this Thread will be dedicated to post everything that was translated from SIU's blog. The author shares a lot of (important) information with us there so I guess it would be good for every newcomer to read it!

[SIU's original blog can be found HERE (http://blog.naver.com/PostList.nhn?blogId=inutero3334&categoryNo=0)]

Here's what I could find:

Titles and Known Positions

Titles

King - This title should be obvious. Example: King Jahad
Princess - A title bestowed on a girl who shows strength. The title is given by Jahad and a "power" of Jahad is given with it. Example: Yuri, Androssi

Ranker - A person who has reached the "top" of the tower. Example: Lero-ro, Yuri

High Ranker - The best of the Rankers. Example: Yuri

Administrators (aka Admins) - A person responsible for administering tests to climb the tower. There are many titles which are a subset of admins. All administrators are rankers. Example: Yu Han-sung, Lero-ro

Director (aka Proctor) - The person who's responsible managing and directing all the other test administrators. The head of the admins. Example: Yu Han-sung

Instructor - A person who teaches Regulars of their roles in their positions such as fisherman, spear bearer, etc. Example: Quant

Ruler - The ruler of the floor. This person is above all others on the floor including Director. Examples are Evankhell
There are other sub-rankings within administrators, none with a specific title.

Manager (aka Guardian) - A creature that resides per floor. They're responsible for managing shinsoo within the floor. Example: The Eel thing Baam spoke to on 2nd floor and Headon.

Regular (aka Chosen Regular. Directly translated as: Chosen member) - A person who desires to climb the tower. They were chosen by Headon (and possibly others like Headon as well). Example: Serena Rinnen, Koon Agero Agnis, Rak

Irregular (Directly translated as: Unchosen member) - A person who has entered the inner tower of their own will. As opposite of regulars, not chosen. Example: Urek, Phantaminum.

- The key point between Chosen Regular and (not chosen) irregular is whether or not Headon chose them or not. Whether or not they opened the door is a corollary to the fact that they were brought in or came in on their own. So, where they are from (outer tower, outside of tower, etc), who they were/are, or their strength makes no conclusion as to whether or not they're regular/irregular.

Blacksmith - Someone who makes weapons...

Known Positions

Fisherman - 낙시꾼 (pr. Naksikkoon - lit. Fisherman) Primary role of the fisherman is to lead the pact into battle. They are the front line warriors. Example: Yuri, Androssi, Anak
Spear Bearer - 창지기 (pr. Changjigi - lit. spear bearer) Spear bearers are like artillery fire. They keep their distance and snipe. Example: Rak
Light Bearer - 등대지기 (pr. Deungdaejigi - lit. Lighthouse bearer) Light bearer is the mastermind of the group. They are the strategist and responsible for literally lighting up the field. Example: Koon, Lahel
Scout - 탐색군 (pr. Tamsekgoon - lit. Scout / Navigator) Scout is responsible for scouting ahead to help the group avoid mishaps like ambushes. They are also a backup for the fisherman when in need. Example: Ship Leesoo, Hatsu
Wave Controller - 파도잡이 (pr. Padojabi - lit. Wave catcher/controller) A rarer position who excel at manipulating shinsoo. The exact role in the battle field are various. Example: Baam, Laure
Anima - 부리미 (pr. Boorimi - lit. A being which controls/orders) A specialty type position who controls animals to do their bidding. It's a role closely tied to wave controller. (We made up this word, so don't look it up in the dictionary. You'll get something else) Example: That small blonde girl I don't really remember the name of...
Dansoolsa - 단술사 (pr. Dansoolsa - lit. ____ technique user) It's a bit unclear what the meaning of this name is. Little is revealed except the name itself and that Kurudan is it. More updates will come as the comic reveals more clues. From what I can tell from the made up word, origin of which is probably hanja (like all other SIU made up words) means "something technique user". The first character, "dan", unfortunately is far too vague to make final statements. Could be 短 meaning short/quick, 壇 meaning strong, or could even be 袒 for the ecchi fans... Example: Kurudan
Guide - 길잡이 (pr. Giljabi - lit. Pathfinder, Guide) A role that guides the party to their destination. Someone who knows the way or will find the way much like a scout. Example: Evan

Battle Positions and Shinsoo Contracts:

Battle Positions

1. The definition of Battle Positions

Battles in the Tower are mostly fought in teams and the Position is the role an individual plays in the team. Of course it's possible to battle without deciding the Positions, but it's more efficient to divide Positions. The name or the role is mostly from the battles of the first 10 Families. Thus the Positions are mainly based on anti-Sinhae-being battles, rather than anti-personnel battles. That doesn't mean current Positions are worthless in anti-personnel battles. Now that the importance of anti-personnel battles are getting bigger than before in the Tower, the current Positions are evolving accordingly.

2. The basic categorization of the Battle Positions

I. Fisherman

This Position gains ground and attacks the enemy directly, using a Reel. It's the Position with the most destructive power in anti-personnel fights. Fishermen basically carry needles, hooks or blades, but they do not carry heavy spears. Fishermen are basically divided into two categories: reel-using Fishermen, who use Reel Inventories usually, or anti-personnel Fishermen, who like to engage others in one-on-one battles.

Basic Armament (Ranker):
1-2 Arms Inventory(-ies) (medium)
1 Armor Inventory (small)
1 Reel Inventory (20 mun)

II. Spear Bearer

This Position blows away the opponent using spears. Spear Bearers are not very powerful in a melee, but are very valuable at long range pinpoint attacking. Some carry needles when in the front, bearing the possibility of a melee in mind, but most don't. They carry special inventories for spears only, called Pipes, that are quite heavy. They are basically divided into two types: the short-distance type and the long-distance type.

Basic Armament (Ranker):
1 Pipe
1-2 Armor Inventory(-ies) (medium)

III. Scout

This Position is for literal exploring. Scouts are usually lightly armed and swift. Their combat abilities not very good (Individual variation exists, of course). They usually play the role of helping the Fisherman regain ground or keep watch of the enemy's movements. They read the change of Shinsoo and collect visual data using modified Balls called Observers, and transfer the data to Light Bearers. They are basically divided into two types: the Basic Scouts and the Battle Observation Scouts.

Basic Armament (Ranker):
2 Observers
1 Inventory (small)

IV. Light Bearer

This Position uses exploring devices called Lighthouses. Lighthouses are very bright glowing devices and there are all shapes and sizes of them. Sometimes they function as Observers, but their mobility decreases and it's hard to handle them in this case. The battles in the Tower are fought mostly in dark places, so it very hard to battle without Light Bearers. They mostly pair with Guides and they participate in battles by passing on information to the Guides who lead the way. There are basically two types: front line type and the rear type.

Basic Armament (Ranker) :
1 Lighthouse body
3-4 Small Lighthouses
1-2 Armor Inventory(-ies) (medium)

V. Wave Controller

This Position helps the allies' battles and attacks the enemy using Shinsoo. It's hard to explain, because it's the Position with the greatest extreme of individual variation. There are Wave Controllers who recklessly attack the enemy (and are easily targeted by the opponents), while there are Wave Catchers who change the tide of the battle by subtlely changing the flow of the Shinsoo. Since the ability is quite rare, there are only a handful of Wave Catchers in the traditional sense, even among the Rankers. Most Wave Controllers rely on the powers of items, but there are those who manipulate Shinsoo without any item. There are basically two types: offensive- and support-type, but this kind of categorization isn't used much.

Basic Armament (Ranker):
(Free)

Shinsoo Manipulation

1. Manipulation of Shinsoo

There are two ways to manipulate Shinsoo: using an item or manipulating it firsthand. In the Tower, when people say they manipulate Shinsoo, it generally means the latter.

Controlling Shinsoo firsthand is a very rare ability, and it is essential for being a Ranker. Basically all 'Regulars' have some abilities for manipulation, but not all of them can do it proficiently.

Shinsoo manipulation ability varies by individual, but the children of the 10 Families are likely to be born with outstanding properties. The same goes for many of the families that are derived from the 10 Families. Some unknown families protect their bloodline in secret, keeping the ability for generations.

2. Wave Controller

Wave Controller doesn't necessarily mean a person who manipulates Shinsoo, but it basically means the same thing in the Outer Tower.

Wave Controller as a Position is the Position that participates in the battle by manipulating Shinsoo (see above), but the Wave Conroller in this traditional meaning are only a handful. Most of them have direct battle abilities and serve other Positions as well.

3. The Contract

In the Inner and Outer Tower, if people wish to control Sinsoo without items they must have a contract with the Manager of the floor. Items are only usable when it's under contract with the Manager (For example, an item that is under contract with 2-30th floor Managers cannot be used on the 31st floor.).

Even when you make a contract with the Manager, you cannot manipulate Shinsoo in all areas of the floor. (The classes are set. Explained later)

After making a contract with the Manager, people must abide by some limitations. If somebody doesn't abide by the limitations, the Manager considers the contract to be violated and breaks the contract. The level of limitations varies by the contract class. For Rankers and High Rankers there are almost no limitations.

It doesn't mean you cannot manipulate Shinsoo at all without a contract. Even when the contract is not made, some simple manipulation is possible. And the inborn resistance to Shinsoo or body augmentation/strengthening using Shinsoo is a power that exists naturally without a contract.

In the current floors, there is only one place that you can control Shinsoo without a contract.

The 10 Families and some derived families can manipulate Shinsoo without special contracts. That doesn't mean they do not make contracts with the Managers. They are 'under contract' the moment they are born.

Story about Shinsoo and the Weapons:

Of the Tower's Weapons by Ashul Edwaru [The maker of the 13 Weapon Series]

Dear readers,

A long time ago, King Jahad came into the uncivilized Tower and taught the inhabitants civilization and ruled over them. He had said, "This place is too boggy."

For us, who were born and raised inside the Tower, it is statement that makes no sense. But for the people outside the Tower, the "irregulars", it is something they know very well. Surprisingly, there's no Shinsoo in their world, and something called "air" fills their world instead. They said that the Tower filled with Shinsoo is too boggy and uncomfortable for them.

I have never seen air, but I have found out some commonalities and differences between air and Shinsoo by interviewing the irregulars.

First, the common point is that they both let beings breathe. And they both flow constantly. It is also identical that they are powerful enough to threaten others when they flow harshly.

Then the difference? The biggest difference is indeed the characteristics by the concentration. In Shinsoo's case it's more like a gas when it's in low concentration and more like liquid when it's in high concentration. But it seems air is not liquefied even in high concentrations.

The second difference is the circulation. The circulation of Shinsoo is very fluent but there is no common law. (And the movements are all different by the floors of the Tower.) But it is said that there are set laws in the circulation of air. (I want to study some more about the laws, but the research is slow because none of the irregulars that I have met is knowledgeable enough about the laws of air)

The third difference is consumption. Shinsoo exists everywhere inside the tower. So Shinsoo exists even in a room that is completely sealed. Shinsoo does not flow in from somewhere else, but is rather created from the Tower. So, we can live in the sealed places. Air is not created from sealed places, and if a being is locked inside a sealed room, the being will consume all of the air and die. (It seems very uncomfortable.)

You readers may not understand why I, who is not even a Wave Controller, am writing about Shinsoo on the front pages of a book about weapons. But it is because you are ignorant of the weapons of the Tower. Shinsoo and the weapons of the Towers are interrelated. You cannot fully understand the weapons unless you understand Shinsoo.

All of the weapons we use are modeled after the weapons from the outside of the Tower, which Jahad and the 10 Family Heads brought in with them when they came inside the tower. Their weapons were, of course, all made to suit air, not Shinsoo. (Even though some were used in vacuum.) They had to develop and modify their weapons to suit the properties of Shinsoo. That's how the weapons we use were born. So it's essential to know about Shinsoo to understand the weapons of the Tower.

For this reason, there's going to be a lot of stories about Shinsoo in the following chapters and I request that readers place special emphasis on the relationship between the weapons and Shinsoo while reading.

Basic Information about the Tower:

About the Tower

1. The Tower is largely catagorized into three parts: The Outer Tower, the Inner Tower, and the Middle Area.

2. The Outer Tower is the residental district of the habitants, and each floor of the Outer Tower is as large as the continent of America on Earth.

3. The Inner Tower is the place where the Regulars take exams, and the Regulars are selected by the Guardian of the first floor, Headon.

4. Regulars must take the exams to reach the next floor until the 20th, and they can go in and out of the Middle after the 20th floor. If they wish, they can settle at the Middle Area.

5. Middle Area is the place where the Regulars and Rankers live together, although people who are not Regulars live here, too. (Mostly the family of the Regulars)
The area is smaller than the Other Tower, and it varies by the floor. There is some interchange with the Outer Tower. The standard of living is much better.

6. The 77th floor is the only floor ruled by someone who's not one of the 10 Families. And it's the only place where the interchange between the Outer Tower and the Middle Area is equal.

7. The 43th floor is without a Guardian, because Enryu killed the Guardian of that floor. Because of this, the Regulars do not take an exam here, and go to the next floor using the road in the Middle Area. It's rumored that Garam Jahad is hiding here.

8. Rankers can go to the Outer and Inner Towers as they wish, and they are guaranteed premium treatment in their lives. Regulars can get premium treatment according to the floor they reached.

9. The relationship between the Regulars and the non-Regulars is similar to that of the ruling class and the subjected class.

10. The open top floor is the 134th.

11. There are Guardians each floor, and they have control over the Shinsoo on their floor.

12. There are Rulers each floor, and they rule over their floors under the permission of the Guardians.

13. Each area of the Outer Tower and Middle Area is managed by the Ruler (The title is different each floor. President, Chief, etc.) of the area. The Rulers are all followers of the family owning the floor, and they are all Rankers.

14. The Rulers are all High Rankers or above.

15. The Ruler has the right to decide the exam of his floor. But if the Guardian raises objections, he must follow the Guardian's wish.

16. The cultures of each floor of the Outer Tower are all different, and the climates and temperatures are all varied. They are all decided by the preferences of the Guardian and Ruler of the floor.

17. The culture of the Middle Area are all similar (although very multicultural) because the Rankers and the Regulars come and go a lot. However, there are noticeable characteristics in each one.

Shinsoo Details (Rooms, Surface & Mass):

About Shinsoo manipulation

1.
The act of handling Shinsoo externally to change the surroundings or to attack the opponent is called Shinsoo manipulation. It's also called Sooyuk (Water handling) and Poongsul (Wind skills) by some organizations or regions. The first person to systematically organize the data of Shinsoo is Bedur Goostang, one of the heads of the 10 Families. All words and units about Shinsoo that are commonly used are from his books.

2.
The basic unit of Shinsoo manipulation is called Baang(room) and the size of the Baang is called Myun (side) and the density of Shinsoo that goes in a Baang is called Soo (water).

3. Baang

The basic unit of Shinsoo manipulation.
More Baangs people handle, more highly skilled they are evaluated of Shinsoo manipulation. But to handle many Baangs doesn't mean people can handle bigger Myun and Higher Soo. More and more Baansg there are, more harder it is too control them. Operating Baansg by force may overload the manipulator's body and mind, even causing death in serious cases. If cases of the support of a Lighthouse, the manipulation of Baang that are materialized may be easier, but the number of Baangs do not increase.

4. Myun

The size of a Baang.
Regardless of the height, it only means the area of spread Shinsoo, and the numerical value by unit is the same as pyeng. (*坪:A land unit. 1 pyeng nearly equals to 3.3 square meters.)
The reason why people do not consider the height when they calculate the size of a Baang is because the height varies greatly by the circumstances and it's hard to assort them accurately. (In case of the height, people convert the numerical value by the density to calculate, but they do not substitute the number to the size of the Baang.)
The larger Myun people handle, the possibility of Shinsoo application gets higher. But handling large Myun doesn't mean they can manipulate a certain density of Shinsoo on the Myun. It's general for the density to decrease from the center of the Myun to the edge, but in the case of an outstanding manipulator, it's possible to make the density of the edge thicker. There are cases that can freely manipulate the density of the Baang, but they're very rare.

5. Soo

It means the density of Shinsoo that is given inside the Baang. It's calculated by the point where the density is most high. There's no comparable unit on Earth, and the measurement is done only by the Lighthouses, Observers and the acute senses.
Higher Soo means stronger effect and destructive power of Baang, so it's very important to handle high Soo. The limit of Soo people can fill in a Baang differs by individuals, and it has nothing to do with the surroundings. Even in a Baang, Soo is not constant. The numerical value of So changes by Myun, and it's varied greatly by individuals. If the manipulator can concentration well, he can handle Shinsoo of many Soo in the small Myun and when he's good at distributed processing, he can handle a certain quantity of Soo in a lot of Myun. Of course there are opposite cases.

6.
When poeple basically say Baang, Myun, and Soo of an individual, Baang is number of Baangs the manipulator can handle the most once, and Myun is the biggest Myun he can handle when he made a Baang. And Soo is the highest density he can put in when he made the Baang, regardless of Myun.
If someone can handle 4 Baang once, and can handle 100 Myun when he made one Baang, and the most higher number of Soo he can gain in one Baang is 30, he can see he can handle '4 Baang 100 Myun and 30 Soo'.

7.
Baang, Myun, and Soo are in close relationship together, and they vary a lot by the support of the Lighthouses or others.
Generally, when the number of Baansg increases the Myun and Soo that can be handled decreases, and when the number of Myun increases, Soo decreases. And Soo changes by the number of Myun and Baangs. Basically this tendency is called 'Minus tendency'. Sometimes there are diathesis that when the number of Baangs increase the number of Myun and Soo that can be handled also increase. This is called 'Plus tendency' and it's a very rare ability.

Even the Minus tendency can revise the minus numerical value by a long period of training and support. But it can't be turned into Plus tendency.

And even being the Plus tendency doesn't mean he can create infinite Baang, and when the number of Baangs increases, it's the same that it gets harder to control them.s

8.
Until now, the person who handled the biggest numerical value of Shinsoo is Enryu. And although the accurate number is not recorded, it's clear that it surpasses other recorded figures greatly. (According to a Light Bearer who could record Enryu's combat, Enryu is known to have handled more than 9000 Baangs during the combat.)

And if anyone's interested, all of SIU's Blog posts about the chapters:
(there are some interesting informations, like his comment about Yu Hansung in Chapter 71)

hello, it's me, SIU
it's been some time since i wrote something on my blog.
at last the first chapter of tower of god is on naver.
I didn't really feel anything until the teaser, but now with the first chapter up..
it makes me kinda nervous.^^;
i try to work with the thought that i just have to do better if the reactions not good, but i still hope there are positive reactions.
honestly speaking i had a lot of trouble with the first chapter until i finished it.
I modified it like three times after finishing^^;;
i wanted to show a better chapter one now that im a pro.
i'm just sorry that i annoyed the person in charge haha
in the case of quantity, i tried to show a bit more in the first chapter
but i did not think that it was good to mess it up with too much greed
so i made the first chapter long and short enough.
btw the next chapter has some more stuff^^;;
im working all over on the thing, so itll be hard to go too fast.
but there'll be more than when i was in best challenge
lastly, please refrain from spoilering.(rest of it i left out because there's nothing meaty.=P

And the second one is the comment about chapter 25, which is the end of the Crown Game. But he doesn't say much about the chapter itself.

Firstly he saids TOG is a manhwa that many stories unfold at the same time than end, not the episode type, so it's a real hell if he draws a chapter wrong..

And he talks about Yuri. Yuri is one of the person that has the most wide acquaintance. She is relatively sociable for a Jahad's princess. Wing Tree is something similar to an anti-government organization, and Yuri gets along quite well with the memebers.

And he says the 1st season of TOG may end as 70-80 chapters, because the story is flowing faster than he expected.

He says Jahad's princesses are very closely connected to the whole story. Although proper princesses will come out about middle and later part of the second season, but they will show up briefly at the last part of the 1st season.

About Anak and Andorssi's relationship, although Anak is Andorssi's neice, Anak is actually older than Andorssi.

Age is only a number in the Tower so you don't have to think about it. People consider body age or species characteristics age important. And the superior-supbordinate relationship according to age to not exist. They put rank or status above age. (Yuri, Koon, and Andorssi do not use honorifics to almost everyone because they are from 10 Families. But Anak uses honorifics.)

Sometimes when people starts to handle Shinsoo their growth stops before they become adults, then it's standard to treat them like kids regalrdless of the age. The general theory in the Tower is that the growth of the body is proportional to the growth of mind. There are exceptions by the region of origin or families.

The author wasn't going the reveal the relationship so soon, but thought it would be better this way for the explanation of Jahad family.
The author then saids he thought the last line from the chapter was funny, because it reminded him of Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader.

Next one's a Real Spoiler about the last position test's name and some info (read it inadvertantly, but might as well put here)

It's Hide-and-seek, the last of the Position test.
Now the real test will start again. This test will have a bit simpler rules than the Crown Game, and the testees' roles are devided by the Positions, so I think it'll be better if you pay attention to it when you read.

Well, the Regulars don't have the enough skills that their Positions require, so I don't think I can show you the proper battles by Postions.

I posted supplementary explanations about the Shinsoo manipulation.
It's quite complicated so it may be hard for you to understand.... But it doesn't really matter if you don't anyway.(..)

Then please look forward to the Hide-and-seek test that starts from next chapter. Note, the 'it' of this exam are Rankers.

Because this game is focused more on Team B than Team A,
Team A test will end shortly.
The original plan was that it will end in 1 or 2 chapters
but there were too many infomation revealed, so it would be too messy.
I've decided to be less selfish.
Please understand me.
The truth is... I won't give away too much ^^;
because I am greedy, after all.

흑린(Heuk-rin) technique that was revealed in this chapter is...
... Sin-soo technique that the searchers (탐색꾼) use to block the lamp's light (등대)
Using Sin-soo, the light is temporarily blocked.
It is an advantage for them, because the searchers (탐색꾼) like darkness. Thus this technique is used often.
(Heuk-rin's name means that like a waving black feather, it blocks out the light.)
Of course, the lamp-protectors (등대지기) can use reverse technique to block the blocking spell

Reel inventory is the fisher's armament.
It's like fishers' equipement, reel. It can analyze the shin-soo and control its movement
Also, it can shoot throw hooks and nee(니) Translator's note: I don't know what nee is.
The fisher's main offensive pattern is
conquer high grounds (physically high) -> Use Reel Inventory to inhibit the opponent's movement -> The spearman (창지기) finishes the opponent.
Thus, Reel Inventory is a fisher's main weapon of choice. ^^

Translator's note: The next paragraph talks about his drawing techniques and how he wants to improve them. If you want me to translate them... ask me later.

Hmm... In the case of the A team's story:
The resulting story is an experiment of ways to dynamitcally and enjoyable explain the position battles and property compositions. And because of it, I'm slightly worrying if it wasn't too contrived.

To be honest, I expected that there would be people asking me how the pulleys were configured in the Androssi and Baam's food exchange scene, but it seems there wasn't any (...OTL)
Thinking about it, since it is a comic afterall, I think everyone just understood it and let it pass.

But I'm still shoving the answer in like this. haha;;

Recently, I feel like the story's becoming too much about set-ups that from next week, I plan to go at it more simply.

From the start, the plan was that if A team was a lecture, B team is an actual fight... That was the plan. ^^;

B Team's start may begin next week, but

There will be an upset in the next chapter as well. So, I hope you're all anticipating for it.

Thank you ^^

it's getting hard to change a very warm and fuzzy feeling ToG to a ToG of betrayals and scheming.
..
somehow theres a 'feel' of Carnival(another comic of SIU -TearDrop) in ToG now..

well, the person that's participating in the exam least now is Baam.

not like the spearbearers, Androssy, and Ho, who wants to go up the tower even if it means betrayal, or like Hatsu, who wants the team to win with his sacrifice, Baam hasn't chosen what to do in this test.

well... but he's the main character, let's give hime some time to think.

but hatsu is dying while you think...

'crying';_;

personally i think Baam and Hatsu goes pretty well together,,
I sometimes think the two as a package.
they have lots of common things...

but of course hatsu looks more natural fighting with Anak.
hatsu could probably think in this chapter"damn.. lizards were better than humans..."

something i wrote after having a drink outside

1.
Androssy knows that Baam knows Michelle is Lahel.

There's a lot of people that's confused about this.

Androssy knows that baam knows michelle is lahel because she saw baam write lahel's name on the friends list.
(cuz you can only write the names of regulars right now.

Also, the reason baam showed androssy the list is to indirectly tell that he knows michelle is lahel.

what androssy was saying when she said 'should i tell' means 'should i tell lahel that baam knows who you are.'

so, baam doesn't act like michelle is lahel because he thinks that lahel doesn't like him following her
and androssy is frustrated cuz she know that.

in Androssy's case, she's very straightforward ^^;;

2.
hong chunhwa is a character that was there in the black and white version.

the characters that came out in that version are
baam, yuri, evan, koon, rak, ho, hong chunhwa and sunwoo nare

in lahel's case she wasn't even mentioned

I still remember the scene where hong chunhwa tried to do ignition to get rid of the riddle monster
and getting stuck..

even then hong chunhwa and sunwoo nare stuck together...

3.

there's a training rally thing(no idea what this is, probably something to do with the army..-TearDrop) so i'm saving up the drawings..
i'm trying to go without having to miss a week, but don't know if it will be possible..
im busy nowadays because i have a lot of stuff to attend... haha
let's hope that i won't have to miss a week^^;

ps.

oh, anak also was in the black and white version^^

i remember that at that time, she was a human, not a lizard..

he lady has come. (at least i think it means yuri)
she is very slow.
to speak a little about Ren's identity a bit, the 'Enforcement Division' is infamous even among the Zahard Family.
First, The enemy they face are all people who were 'once in the Zahard family' so even they are all zahards, they don't feel to good about them.
It's kinda like the feelings between a military police and an official.(@.@ do not understand this bit at all ;; )
so, the Enforcement Division has independent ranks and command hierarchy.
the only person the enforcement division serves is Zahard.
But it isn't like the division is loyal, or anything, because most of the members come in to fill their need for murder and battling.
There are a lot of difference in the individuals loyalty among the division.
the only thing they have in common is that they are all in awe of the power of zahard.
The ones with the highest loyalty are the Royal Guards and the bodyguards
There are some people who became psychos when the loyalty goes overboard.
I'll say more about that later in the other blog posts.
ps.
The comparison is like that, but the military polices in the zahard army is not the RED.

This chapter is like the most important part of the test is revealed, but the important things aren't out yet.

But I liked it because I got to draw the regulars in a long time.

personally, I like the regulars better than Yuri & co.

of course, since I drew the thieves, too,

I swore every hour while I was drawing.

hmm..

I guess everyone knows I started me2day..

okay, I really meant to do it just for a day

but too many people started it for me..

I can't stop...

It's not my official me2, but I'll just say hello now and then/

http://me2day.net/inutero3334

hmm... and I'll get the stat cards on monday...
that's today;;;;

Me2day is like the facebook of naver

I'm a bit late.
I was finishing something I was making...
The first story that I finished while forming the season 1 of ToG is the first and last test.

Of course, the other tests are important, too, but you should consider how the first test leads to the last test.
Yuri has very strong physical strength even among the rankers.

the Ha(?) family is very strong genetically, and because of the contract with the manager, they are the family with the strongest body strengthening ability.

because Yuri got that blood very strongly...
............
her finger flick(tn; you know, the finger thing.... uh....)goes out like a freaking K9.

They should have yuri in yeonpyoungdo....

yeonpyongdo-an island that got bombed by north korea last year.

...just stuff about the cafe thing....
I'll translate this if anyone wants me to. =P

Yu is a typical chairman.
What I mean is..
His style isn't fighting himself
but to make people fight each other for his advantage.

He's like Koon in some ways
but if Koon is a character with 'inherited background'
Yu is a character that grew to get over a 'not so good background'.
Yu's story will come out L~~~ater, so check that out L~~~~ater please. =)

Yu has a considerable importance in the overall story.
He doesn't come up to much, but he's close to the core story.

Soon our forgotten main character should appear..
His appearance will be quite an impacting one for Baam.

ps.

Ice Strawberries are expensive.

Hwaryun's beauty is a foreshadow.

Now Baam is coming up.
You could say that the next chapter is the beginning of Baam becoming a real main character.
So what was he up to now?
uh....
A.... good-looking guy?

Blog post says Season one is almost over.

Chapter 74...Lahel stood up like a miracle.
Actuall, There's people who found out that lahel isn't a normal character with her name. great, people.
*In sherlock holmes, there is a reference to the word Rache(Rah-he) that means revenge in german.*
So, I gave a lot of thought to resting next week

But I decided to rest
My reason isn't that i'm not very well, or working is hard..
I'd just like a lot of people to read this chapter before i get out the next one.
Okay, so to complain a bit, I'd like [part of the readers to read my manhwa more carefully.

You might say that i'm a bit arrogant....^^
btw the next chapter is almost finished.

actually i've tried not to miss an update before season 1 was over
so i don't feel great about this.

I think the epilogue will be about 4chapters.
It'll be mostly about the behind story of this test and Lahel.

So, please wait for the next chapter,
and I'll see you the week after next.

Thank you.

It was chapter 75 where the main character switch happened.
...Huh?
I must go up in a mountain in order to work, only coming down to society to deliver the script to the director. Haha;
I already gave up on the stars* and the views. I can just receive less money...... Just don't get me fired.. Please please
Honestly, because ToG has gotten more popularity then I anticipated, It is true that I pondered about changing the direction of this piece..
But, I want to draw ToG as I first planned.
If I do not, I'll blame myself for the rest of my life.

This epilogue is the chapter where the switch from Pt.1 to Pt.2 occurs.
It's also the chapter where Lahel and Baam's destiny gets seperated.
Now Lahel's reason for pushing Baam will appear soon.

So, please stay tuned for the next chapter. ^^

*Here, the "stars" refer to the manhwa's ratings. 10 Star = Awesomenss, 1 = Fail chapter.. and so forth

It kind of feels weird writing a review of a script I finished 2 weeks ago;;

Hello Everyone
Merry Christmas.. Ah, it's over.
I..It's a relief. It passed safely again this year.

People that have seen the prologue (Headon's floor)
Often asked
'Why is it so like a shounen manhwa?"
...
...What's wrong with shounen manhwa.
Is it wrong if it's a shounen manhwa.

Anyways.
Baam's "typical shounen hero" actions
are intended in a way.
Because Lahel is not someone like that.
I wanted to prepare you all by showing Lahel looking at this in the epilogue.
Hmm. I'm not sure if I was successful thoough.
-----------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------- (Skipping parts lol)
I'm still learning

If Baam is like the typical hero type,
then Lahel is like an anti-hero.
Maybe this Manhwa will become something like
Shounen but not shounen thanks to Lahel.
Oh, and Lahel and Baam are connected in more complex way than it appears to be.
------------------------------------------------------------ (Again skipping)

Next week concludes the epilogue,
I wish that you will enjoy it until the end^^

SIU's blog posts about the Part 2 chapters:

So it’s begun.

I’m more nervous than the time I started Part 1.

I had a lot of worries about Part 2,

But I’m hoping that everything will turn out to be good.

1.

Part 2 will be divided into multiple episodes.

The first of those episodes will start next week.

I might take a small break after each episode,

But nothing is set.

2.

Officially, Jahad has no prince.

[TN: I interpret “Officially” to mean “On record” or “Widely-known”]

3.

I think Part 2 will be a bit lighter than Part 1.

I think..

Anyways, overall, I think Part 2 will be pretty fun, haha.

p.s.

5 years in the tower is not long at all.

But it’s enough to change a person. Lol

[TN: Author literally uses korean equivalent of ‘lol’ here]

Ja Wang-Nan backwards is “I Am Prince”.

…That’s some genius wordplay, AMIRITE?

[TN: I’m starting to think the author’s a pretty big joker]

……

Unlike Part 1, instead of having one main character,

Part 2 will tell the story of many different characters.

So please stop asking me who the main character is ;;

So everyone thought Wang-Nan was going to be super strong when he came out

…but come on, that’s not how these things go.

People are asking me if characters from Part 1 will appear again.

Yes, they will appear.

In fact, one already appeared, right?

[TN: This might be definitive proof that long-hair is Baam. But knowing the troll-like tendency of this author, he might also be referring to Androssi appearing on that magazine in chapter 1…]

This is Chapter 2.

I guess you could say this is the chapter for introducing the characters of this Episode.

The focus was less about progressing the story and more about introducing characters.

It’s the commonly used technique of using up a chapter in manhwas, haha.

If the characters in Part 1 generally represented the upper-class members of the Tower,

Then this episode’s characters will be representing the middle-class members.

Still… compared to Part 1, their pure combat prowess will be better.

Of course, you still can’t compare them to Androssi’s strength or Koon’s brains ^^;

Truthfully, when I started Part 2

I wanted to show a more experienced and composed self,

But I’m still lacking and worrying a lot.

So please love the characters of Part 2,

And thanks again for reading Tower of God (and visiting me in the blogs). ^^

Is his hair glued to his forehead?

[TN: Written in a joking tone. Oh, and this is all he wrote.]

Mm… A lobster has appeared.

I really like sea food.

Probably coz I live in the inlands…

But sea food is delicious!

A bit expensive, though…

[TN: Maximum Troll-mode engaged…]

Part 2’s First Episode pays a lot of homage to classic Shounen Manhwa.

Since I don’t really have a set genre for the Tower of God,

It may feel like different genres at times

I plan on changing themes with each new episode.

So is this episode going to be like Shounen?...

Actually no,

You can probably tell but the problems represented are more associated with people in their 20s and not 10s.

[TN: As in people worrying about loans, taking ‘entrance’ exams to ‘upper’ levels, etc..]

That’s why the floor is also F20.

But I still want kids in their 10s to enjoy,

So I’ll try to limit the presentation of age differences.

Next chapter will have more characters,

And it looks like we’re gonna officially start our story.

So please look forward to next week.

Thank you, ^^

p.s. – Visitors to the blog surpassed one million, yaay.

Questions and Answers from SIU's Fancafe:

Question

You said that there were 13 weapon series that resemble a sword such as the Black march, Radiating June, Red October.
And the 13 months probably carry unique weapons (Though, I guess the Rainbow Undecimber could differ)
If the Black March is the strongest of all the needles, does that mean the 'Radiating June' and 'Red October' carries a 'sword-like' shape but not a 'needle'?

p.s
Could you tell us the names of weapons of each month?

And how many types of weapons are there in the tower?

What of Koon's weapon?... I just can't seem to understand it's nature...

Roughly, seems like defensive... Is the bag a shield... Maybe a sheathe for sword... uh...

Answer

1. The Black March is not the strongest of all needles. There are plenty of needles which are stronger than the Black March. It's just that the Black March is a very 'special' weapon.

2. A needle and a sword are completely different category of weapons. They also have different shapes. ^^

3. These are the Blacksmith Edwaru's 13 month series weapons.

1. Silver January
2. White February
3. Black March
4. Green April
5. Yellow May
6. Luminous June
7. Indigo July
8. Blue August
9. Dark September
10. Red October
11. Gold November
12. Colorless December
13. Rainbow Undecimber

4. The tower has a large variety of weapons. You could say it's infinite ^^
The notable set of weapons will be explained in the blog in due time.

5. Koon's weapon is extremely special

Question

[He asks if Headons eyes and mouth are both in the crevice]

But now the mouth is there... mm... mm...
Could it be that in that long crevice(?) there are both mouth and eyes?
Or were the eyes omitted in the drawing to draw emphasis on his smirking laugh...?

Answer

You are correct, both the mouth and eyes are there ^^

Question

For example... Lets say a person stopped their climb at 100th floor.

He cannot climb any further than 100. Then, he would have to go back down (To his tome... ;)

I'm wondering about the afterhmath.

A regular that's climbed to a fairly high rank, but didn't die... What kind of treatment would he receive in the outer tower.

Or does he get scouted somewhere??

Answer

If they stop climbing the tower, they can choose to live in the middle area, or move to a lower floor and live on with a new job.

Of course, depending on how far you climb, the way you're treated differs greatly.

It's like climbing the corporate ladder. ^^

The next one is just for the lulz :amuse

Question

In short, when the test for evankhell's floor (floor of test), do they

1. The 3 people who have become friends continue moving together.
2. They say bye bye and all go their own ways.

Author!! Please pick one!!!!!! (heh)

General Information from the Author (Chapter 79 - Season 1 Postlogue)

- Basic(minor) information

The Author confirmed that Yu Hansung is a man despite looking like a woman. He also states that Hansung likes all kind of instant food, not just instant coffee.

Lero-ro's dot's are based on the design of Pikachu. It's not a dot/mole though but a drawing. It symbolizes that a special test has been conducted.

The author doesn't believe that a Danhengbon [korean equivalent to japanese Tankobon] of his series will ever be made (let's hope he's wrong)

Laure was inspired by his sister, who refused to sleep without her blanket when she was young.

The author states that he hates Koon the most because he's a man who's good looking, smart and from a good family.

after asked through his blog, the author decides (has plans) to make an alternate story, f.ex. how Yuri or Lero-ro climbed the tower.

- About Rankers:

"The ranker position in the tower is a very lavish status
(you can assume they have no problem with living expenses).
However, just because they became a ranker doesn't mean their rivalries have ended. Rather, they enter into a more fearsome rivalries, so they seek better positions and better jobs.

The reason behind a ranker's rivalrie will be slowly explained later."

- About the time needed to clear a floor and if the progress will be faster or slower:

"It depends on the floors. Some will make no appearance at all and some will drag on like the floor of test. A lower floor could come out later as well, and a higher floor might come out first as well.
Also, regardless of the floor count, it's best to think of the plot that will unfold as the core content."

- About what happens to regulars who fail a test:

Regulars who fail to pass the Floor of Test are stripped of their rights and return to the outer Tower.

After the third floor, they have the right to retake the test. They say that most of the people who passed the Floor of Test will also pass the rest because the difficulty is not that high.

If they give up in the middle, they are stripped of their rights and are sent to the middle area (of the tower).

From the 20th floor, the right to live in the middle area is granted. Many take the test after entering the inner tower but a test requires a lot of points (money) and because of the increase in difficulty, they say there are a lot of regulars who give up on the 20th floor.

It's said that even after they give up, their "premium" status as a former regulars helps out a lot in their daily needs.

The 3 Lord System

SpoilerThe 3 Lord System
A political system where 3 lords take turns ruling every 1000 years. This is an old tradition that has existed since Zahard established a nation in the tower and stems from the crest of the crimson three eyes of the Zahard family.
The 3 lords have highest authority in all the politics of the tower, and has the final say on the items submitted by the 'Ruler's Conference.'
To avoid being bound by their heredity, they discarded their surnames and use only their first name.

1. Molic One P. GR
The eldest of the 3 lords. he is known as a conservative ruler who attaches great importance to the stability of the tower. The name Molic comes from the area he once lived in, and Molic means 'the absolute.' However it is untold what the name P. GR stands for. He is the only one of the 3 lords whose backgrounds are unknown.

2. Joochun
Joochun is known to be a progressive lord. He strongly asserts the advancement to the next floor. Because he loves alcohol, he was named Joochun for 'alcoholic river'(Joo-alcohol chun-river). He was born between Ari Han and a mother who was native to the tower, but her mother is said to have died as she gave birth to him. There is a rumor that he is a drinking buddy to Urek Mazino, but this is unconfirmed.

3. Magician/Flux
The Lord who is called a Magician.
He is Macseth's first disciple, and is considered one of the Fathers of Gong Bang.
Like all other "Fathers" of Gong Bang, Magician is also one of Macseth's "Artificial Lifeforms".
However, no one has seen his true form,
And his artificial personal images pop up in the Tower occasionally.

The 4 Children of Macseth and Magician are separate.
Magician received the title of "Father", but he is not one of the Great Teachers.
Because Magician holds one of the Lord's seats,
Although he is one of the Fathers of Gong Bang, it can be seen that he is out of the group.
Overall, you can view him as equal or slightly above the 4 Children.

8 of the 10 Great Clans:

After conquering the Tower with Jahad, the 10 Great Warriors each start their own clan. These are the Ten Great Clans. Although not as talented as Jahad, each clan still possessed incredible talents. The Ten Clans are:

14. Po Biduh Gustang [The Lonely Wave] [Wave Catcher] - Head of the Gustang clan (One of the ten great clans, known for their knowledge of Shinsoo). 15. Grace Miruchia Luslec [Tiger Fish] [Fisherman] - Slayer No. 1 (Leader) of FUG.Eurasia Blossom
Sobriquet: Flower Shrimp

Birthplace: Unknown
Position: Wave Controller

More information about the top 7 High Rankers:

Phantaminum

Sobriquet: Riddle
Age: Unknown
Height: Unknown
Birthplace: Unknown
Position: Unknown
Rank: 1

Currently in the 1st rank of the Tower.

Phantaminum appeared suddenly in the Tower and broke into the Zahard's inner palace, killing a lot of royals and courtiers. He succeeded in breaking all of the lines of defense and face Zahard but disappeared even without a fight.
That's how he had gotten the sobriquet. There's another reason for this sobriquet, and this is because of his style of combat. It is said that he had a freewheeling and desultory combat style, and had used a weapon that was never seen anywhere inside the Tower. Most of the eye witnesses died or lost their minds with fear so the stories were not accurately reported.

The negative views toward the irregulars have grown because of him and it had a big impact on Urek when he climbed the Tower. When Phantaminum broke into the palace, it is said he met Yuri Zahard in the inner palace, and there is a great diversity of opinion as to why he didn't kill her. Yuri Zahard didn't say anything about the matter except that 'He was a messy one.'

There were a lot of objections in the Rank Admistering Office as to giving Phantaminum the 1st rank, who have disappeared after the attack of the palace of Zahard and became inactive. But everyone agreed his impressive strength alone was overwhleming. As a result, Phantaminum became the No. 1 Ranker by only one combat, dragging the 'Red Tower' Enryu down to 2nd rank.

He was seen very little in the Tower after the attack of the palace, and most of the stories are rumors, therefore it's hard to confirm any of the stories. There's a rumor that he is in a cat-and-dog terms with another irregular, Urek Mazino, but it is not confirmed, either. All in all, Phantaminum is a monster whose information starts with a riddle and ends with a riddle. Every Rankers are on the watch for the moves of this monster.

Enryu

Sobriquet: Red Tower
Age: Unknown
Height: 184cm
Birthplace: Unknown
Position: Spearmaster Throwing type
Rank: 2

Enryu's identity is as mysterious as Phantaminum. His strangest record is that 'he had murdered the Guardian'. By killing the Gardian of the Tower, who was thought to be immortal, he let the people know that the Gardians were not absolute beings. That's how Enryu became the No. 1 Ranker with the nickname of 'Guardian Muderer'. He maintained his rank for a long time but lost it from Phantaminum.

The funny thing is that Enryu and Phantaminum never had a combat. They have never even met, and there are a lot of opinions on who would win if they actually fought each other.

His Sobriquet, Red Tower was added because Shinsoo of the Tower turned red whenever he appeared, but the reason for this is not known.

Enryu is known to fight with the way of creating thousands of spears made with Shinsoo and striking them downwards. Some people use a poetic expression, describing it 'Red Rain', but it wouldn't look beautiful from the victim's point of view. Enryu's overwhelming control against the Shinsoo is rated a cut above the Guardians, and it is the 'heretical' ability, breaking the laws of the Tower.

It is not known where Enryu is or what he's doing currently, and it is rumored that Headon is seeking him with avidity.

King Zahard (Jahad)

Sobriquet: King of Tower
Age: Unknown
Height: 240cm
Birthplac: Unknown
Position: Fisherman
Rank: 3

'King of Tower' Zahard is the most famous and great being in the whole Tower. In the ancient times, when there was no civilization in the Tower, he came into the Tower and built his own empire. Zahard is the great king and the true warrior. Everyone living in the Tower is the son or daughter of Zahard. He is like the god to the habitants of the Tower.

Zahard conquerred the Tower with the 10 families, and gotten the control of the 134 floors from the floor Guardians. (Some floors were conquered by Zahard's daughters.)

He rules over people as the ruler of the tower but is not on the move outside. But the 3rd rank seems poor when reflecting his influence and the splendor of the past. (He was firmly the No. 1 Ranker before Phantaminum and Enryu appeared.)
People who have seen Zahard in combat are very rare, but he is known to have outstanding power, because 'White Sword' Arie Hon, who was even with Urek Mazino had recollected 'I have fought Zahard ten times and always defeated, thereby I became his servant.' Zahard's daughters, who are invested his powers all categorized as the 'Ultimate species'.

Zahard is currently resting, leaving the outside activities to his daughters, but a lot of people are expecting the day Zahard is on the move would be the day when the limit to the Tower becomes another floor up.

Of course, more and more people are anticipating for the Zahard's 'only son' who is to be born someday.

Urek Mazino

Sobriquet: Ray-Barakuda
Age: Unknown
Height: 195cm
Birthplace: Unknown
Position: Fisherman
Rank: 4

Currently the strongest Ranker on the move. He is an Irregular, and the most recent to be in the tower of the top 5.
His sobriquet, Barakuda is the name of the most aggressive and ferocious white steel eel in the Tower. (Ray is the sobriquet from his combat style, which is forwarding the Shinsoo as fast as light. Although his formal sobriquet is Ray Barakuda, just Barakuda can be referred to Urek Mazino in the Tower.)

It took 50 years for him to pass every test and climb the top of the tower, and he is recorded as the fastest person to climb the inner tower in a normal way.

Although his main position is Fisherman, he is proficient in most every position and very aggressive in all of them. He is proficient in flying Shinsoo fast, and the power is impossible to block even with the superior armor inventory. People who have seen Urek Mazino in combat had evaluated his combat style was 'Agrressive, feroucious and fast. But tremendously beautiful.'

Urek Marizo, while standing on his fianl position, had once knocked down a Light Bearer who was also on his final position. Figuratively speeking, it's similar to a goalkeeper scoring a goal.

His relationship is somewhat dull, and it's because of his masculine manner. He has magnanimous personality, but is very unpopular among women because of this. It is rumored that he has a crush on one of Zahard's princess, Garam Zahard, but Garam Zahard herself hates Urek Mazino. Of course, this is not actually confirmed.

He is also acquainted with another princess, Yuri, and it is because he was one of the person to plant 'Walhaiksong'. Yuri evaluated as "He's the best to fight together, but the worst to live with."

On the other hand, he has great support from men. 'White Sword' Arie Hon praised him as the true worrior after he fought him, and his best friend, Backryun said he was the number one comrade and man. 'Blue Advancer' Koon Eduan picked Urek as 'One of the person I wish to battle.' Of the three, Backryun, who is one of the first memeber to plant 'Walhaiksong' has a special relationship with Urek, and the two's influence inside the Tower is already even with one of the 10 Families.

The relationship bewtween Phantaminum and Urek is a very talkative issue, but it seems to be a fact that Urek tracked Phantaminum and followed him inside the Tower, although nothing was reported clearly.

As the strongest of the current active Rankers, and as one of the founder of the Wing Tree, or Walhaiksong, Urek Mazino is one of the most influential person inside the tower. And it is not too much to say his every single move is related to the future of the Tower.

Arie Hon

Sobriquet: White Sword, White Oar
Age: Unknown
Height: 187cm
Position: Fisherman
Rank: 5

One of the ten warriors who have pioneered the Tower. Current head of the Arie Family. Owner of the White Oar, the only sword made by Mecseth. The name of the sword is from Oarfish, a legendary white steel eel.

Outstanding swordsman, who has no problem with his mysterious swordsmanship even in high dense of Shinsoo. He fought Urek Mazino evenly, but after the combat, he is known to have said 'Urek Mazino is much better.'

He is known to be very temperate and elegant normally. He is well mannered even in a fight, but has never fought anyone after fighting Urek.

He is the owner of the White Oar, the only sword made by Mecseth. White Oar is known as the only S+ grade weapon inside the Tower. Warriors in the Tower say the well-edged weapon is 'like an oarfish' because of this. Mecseth had never produced a weapon after making White Oar.

Arie Hon stays at the 100th floor of the Tower as the head of Arie family, and his territory is the largest of the 10 families. He is famous for giving special tests to the regulars with an extraordinary reward, but the level of difficulty is so high that most of the regulars don't even dare take them.

The last person to past the special test is his daughter, Arie Hagipherione Zahard, and the reward is still unknown. The rumor says it was a 'very personal and childish reward'.

Urek Mazino also passed this test, and that is when he fought Arie Hon. Arie Hon's task was to endure his attacks for 10 minutes, but Urek Mazino fought evenly. Urek Mazino becomes the most famous Ranker on the Tower thanks to this oppotunity. The reward from Arie Hon was the transfer of the control over one of the floor in Arie Mazino's posession. After Urek became the Ranker, the 77th floor became his, and he transfered the control again to Backryun, who set up the stronghold of the Walhabacksong there.

Koon Eduan

Sobriqect: Marlin, Blue Advance
Age: Unknown
Height: 227cm
Birthplace: Unknown
Position: Spearmaster, Fisherman
Rank: 6

One of the head of the 10 families. Father of Koon Agero Agnis.

Known for manganimous personality and taking delight in fighting. His sobreqect is Marlin, Blue Advance. The name Marlin was given by likening his enormous spear, and there's a rumor that if he decompresses his spear it would pierce half of the Tower. (The name of his spear is Mago. When Mago is ignited it's compression grade goes high up to abnormal figure.)

Another of his sobriquet, Blue Advance, is from the property of the Shinsoo he controls. The Shinsoo he controls is very fast and has tremendous electical power. There were a lot of opinions that his sobriqet should be the Electric Eel because of this property, but Koon Eduan directly showed refusal, threatening he would 'kill everyone who called him an eel'. In the end, his sobriquet bacame Marlin.

Koon Eduan is famous for his lewdness, and he is the man with the most wives of the 10 family heads. He has a lot of children, so there are a lot of veiled competion among his children in the family. Too much competition has created the 'official' fights. It is held once a year, with the following rule: 'When the children of Koon become the age of 10, they are to fight each other. The winners are recogized as the true children of Koon.' The winners are recognized as the true children and gets the crest of the family, but the losers become the 'abandoned' and do not get the crest. Although the fights are inhuman and bloody, Koon himself says he's 'not very interested'.

One of his daughter, Koon Maschenny Zahard, is the owner of the Yellow May, and is the only princess of Zahard in his family who is given one of the 13 month weapons.

Koon Eduan had prepared a special test with a shocking condition, which is 'Whoever fight him and win is given everything of the family', but none of the regulars have survived the test so far.

Eurasia Enne Zahard

Sobriquet: Great White Shark
Age: 482 (sealed after)
Height: 174cm
Birthplace: Unknown
Position: Fisherman
Rank: 7

Only princess who had owned the Colorless December. Displayed extremely talented abilities, and was graded differently with other princesses. She was highly suported with her gorgeous looks and pacific personality. She went up to the top of the Tower fast and became one of the Rankers.

But after she became a Ranker and was given the Colorless December she started to change oddly. Sometimes she killed with no reasons. She would wear pacific expression, and suddenly attack people in anger.

About the same time Garam Zahard killed Uram Zahard and seized the Indigo July, and the rumor that Enne Zahard was connected to the two princesses started to spread. Some days later, Garam Zahard and Enne Zahard disappeared. (They became the High-rankers after this incident. Garam Zahard was given the sobriqect of Mako Shark, and Enne Zahard was given the sobriqect of Great White Shark.)

The battle between the princesses did not cause problem(even when they killed each other). But the disappearence of the insane princesses in the possesion of the 13 month weapons was a serious matter, so Zahard ordered to catch the two princesses quickly.

Garam Zahard was sane (contrary to the rumors) and was able to hide herself, but Enne Zahard was different. She knocked down Zahard's men and killed a lot of Rankers who chased her. But even she couldn't oppose all of the Rankers, and Enne Zahard was caught and was brought in front of Zahard himself. (Unie Zahard, and Rebecca Pon Zahard was killed, and Koon Maschenny Zahard and Pondo Zahard helped catching her. There's a rumor that Zahard himself interfered. There's another rumor that Heice Zahard who refused the 13 month weapon after becoming a Ranker participated in the battle.)

After this Enne Zahard was sealed in an unknown place, and Colorless December was also sealed, because it was in reckless state like Enne Zahard.

More Information on Adori Zahard (Rank 8):

Title: Killer Whale
Age: 5000+
Height: 1 m 84 cm
Birthplace: Floor 132
Position: Fisherman
Ranking: 7 (TN: Strange, it should be 8, but on the blog post it says 7…)

Adori Jahad. The strongest Princess. The Captain of Jahad’s Royal Guards.
Wielding the only S-rank weapon of the 13 Months Series, the Golden November, she has a multitude of both male and female fans because of her golden hair and beautiful face.

Although she is a ranker above rankers, she has no noticeable accomplishments or achievements. And even though she is the Captain of Jahad’s Royal Guards, because she does not like wandering around, she rarely participates in active duty.
Even with this, she is still entrusted with the Captain of the Guards position.

Why?

Only one reason:

Her unfathomable strength.

Even before she became a ranker, she defeated an upper level ranker (quite easily), and even Garam Jahad was overwhelmingly pushed to her limits before her.
(Before the Anne Jahad incident, Garam and Adori fought once. It hasn’t been 100 years since Adori became a ranker, yet she was able to overwhelm Garam.)
And since, in the few fights against rankers, she defeated all of them with overwhelming combat prowess.

Many people compare her to Anne Jahad, but no one can easily determine who is stronger between the two. The debate still rages on today and is a favored topic of discussion amongst rankers.

Adori is known to be a cold and quiet person. She has little care for the happenings of the world, and she often gets lost in her own fantasies; however there are many secrets in her private life and no one really knows her true self.

But.
It is widely known that she will allow a person she likes to call her by her birth name.
(Her birth name is Adoru).

More information on Backryun (Rank 9):

Name: Backryun
Age:???
Height: ??? (Normally1M 67cm)
Birthplace:???
Position: Wave Controller
Rank: 9

Backryun, one of the Wolhaiksong's leaders and most gifted wave controller in the Tower's history.

He who was born in the middle region(?) as an orphan and roamed without a residential card
Eventually goes into a forest to avoid contact with others.
Becoming one with the forest, he lives there for a long time.

He naturally learns to controll Shinsoo through living in the forest.
Later, Headon, interested in Backryun's abilities, picks him.

As a regular, he quickly becomes a ranker;
As a ranker, he then returns to the forest without any activity.

After returning to the forest, he spends a long time gardening the forest.
His forest, which was like a living animal, is said to emit a mysterious atmosphere..

Urek Mazino, who at the time was climbing the tower, heard of Backryun's forest.
He visits Backryun; soon, they become best friends.
Backryun was especially interested in the world outside the Tower that Urek often spoke of.
Hearing Urek's stories, Backryun himself dreams of living in the world outside of the tower.

After Urek Mazino left to climb the tower again, Backryun's ambition continued to grow.
He then later confesses his passion to Urek Mazino who returned as a ranker.
Urek Mazino, delighted by Backryun's confession, asks to leave with him;
However, Backryun declines the offer, saying that he cannot leave this forest which is like his own life.
It is told that Urek Mazino, pounding his chest, then said this.

"Then I will give this forest a pair of wings."
"I will make it so that these trees can follow you everywhere."

Backryun thought Urek was just rambiling because Urek was drunk; however, Urek was serious.
Urek absorbed everything in the forest as he shouted like a thunder,
Eventually, the enormous forest shrunk to a size of a fist.

Urek then gave the compressed forest with wings in a box to Backryun.
Backryun was very surprised and grateful; however, there was a problem.
The compressed forest was too heavy for Backryun to carry.
So Backryun gave the box to Urek,
This winged box became Urek and Backryun's symbol of friendship.

Later, the forest was moved to 77F
Rankers who heard of Backryun and Urek gathered to the forest,
eventually forming 'Wolhaiksong' with Backryun as its leader.

(Also called the Wingtree.)
(The name Wolhaiksong orgins from the story between Urek and Backryun.)

The name Backryun orginated because of the fine silk that he was covered with when he was abandoned.
(There's also a story that his name is because of this silk-like personality.)
After becoming a high ranker, Backryun was offered an alias by the Rank Bureau; however, it is told that he declined.

Backryun's real appearance is controversial.
Normally, he is appears to be an ordinary boy, but he sometimes appears as a tall young man.
Also, some say that they have seen Backryun who was tall enough to touch the ceilings of the Tower.

Although Backryun is a ranker who is praised for his influence over his battle abilities,
It cannot be said that his battle power is lacking.
Although Backryun is a Wave Controller who controls the battle and supports team members over attacking others directly,
His hand-to-hand combat ability is also said to be impressive.
But, because he only fought a limited amount of battles with high rankers, his combat abilities may need to be verified.

The rumor about Wolhaiksong being an anti-government organization is false.
The goal of Wolhaiksong is to 'find the way out of the tower'; it is not to overthrow the government.
But it is true that their liberal movements often clash with the government's conservative practices.
Some current Wolhaiksong members think of themselves as a part of an anti-government organization.

More Information on Ha Yurin (Rank 10):

Title: Snake Head
Age: ???
Height: 190 cm
Birthplace: ???
Position: Fisherman, Scout
Ranking: 10

The leader of the Ha clan, one of the 10 Great Families. Grandmother of Yuri Jahad (appearance-wise, Yurin doesn’t look much older than Yuri)

Although she is a woman, she possesses a very aggressive and bold personality. Amongst the 10 Great Warriors, she would often be the first one to engage in combat.

She had two children (twins) with another great clan leader, Ari Han (TN: not Arie Hon), but they never married. Although she had many other relationships since, she never gave birth again. (This is not uncommon among the 10 Great Clans. Compared to their extremely high ages, the amount of children they have is relatively small)

Because of this, the Ha family does not have many branch families, and the main branch of the family is centered on Yurin’s two sons.
However, the two sons do not have a friendly relationship, and each claims that he is the rightful heir to the clan. Even within the Han family, there is a not-so-small quarrel about this matter.
Of course, Yurin has no interest in such things, and lately, she’s has ceased all her other activities and is enjoying herself in her main house.

She possessed a very rough but intelligent fighting style, and she possessed a strong enough physique to perform the duties of both a fisherman and a scout.
With grace and flexibility, she weaved through the battle field, and it is said she was the first to use Shinsoo to strengthen one’s body.

After she became a clan leader, she has not participated in battle.
Within the Ha clan, her presence as the head is more symbolic, and she rarely governs the clan herself.

With the birth of Yuri (who greatly resembles Yurin), the Ha clan placed their faith in her, hoping that she would collect all 13 months series weapons. Because of this, Yuri’s title takes after her grandmothers (Black Snake Head).

More Information on Tu Peri Tperi (Rank 11):

Title: God’s Eye
Age: ???
Height: 173 cm
Birthplace: ???
Position: Light Bearer
Ranking: 11

One of the 10 Great Family’s Heads.
The first Light Bearer of the tower, no one knows how he came to be that position. Whenever he reminisces about the time he became a Light Bearer, he’s known to have said “The Heavens gave me the Eyes of God”. However, it could have been that people chose to believe a “well-fabricated story” rather than a “solid truth”.

After the Great Journey (TN: Jahad and the 10 conquering the tower), he is one of the most active Clan Heads, and along with the Blacksmiths, created many items. He is also the pioneer of the system in which the Light Bearer acts as the intermediary for all communications within a team.

The most famous of his creations is the ‘Opera’ Lighthouse, one of the greatest Lighthouses of the tower. The ‘Opera’ extends the user’s Shinsoo field to infinity (beyond all reason and boundaries), making it the ultimate dream of all Light Bearers. It also contains defensive measures that put even Armor Inventories to shame. With all of its Lights, no blind spot exists for the ‘Opera’.
(TN: I wasn’t sure, but I think it’s implied that using the Opera, one can also have an infinite range for any shinsoo related things, whether it’s a direct attack or shinsoo restriction)

But because it requires the highest quality Suspendium and many impossible-to-find materials, only three were made, and it is unlikely that any more will be made.

Honestly, because a man who developed the system where ‘the Light Bearer acts as the center of all other Positions’ created an item that turns ‘the Light Bearer into a one-man-show’, many complain that whie the ‘Opera’ Lighthouse is the ultimate evolution of the Lighthouse, it at the same time is an item that makes the basic purpose of the Light Bearer null.
Of course, these are the complaints of those who cannot comprehend the powers of those above.
(TN: If it wasn’t clear, it’s basically saying that the man who created the Light Bearer position also made an item that made the Light Bearer position basically unnecessary)

Of the three ‘Opera’s, one is in the hands of Tperi (However, he does not use the Opera, he uses a even greater Light House called ‘The God’s Eye’, creator unknown), one is in the hands of Flux (one of the 3 lords; currently sleeping), the last is in the hands of Jaina Repelista Jahad (A princess that never climbed the Tower, uses the Opera to spy on the world).

If the ‘Opera’ ever appeared on the market, its price will be immeasurable, but looking at the current wielders, it’s unlikely that it’ll ever appear on the market.

More Information on Molic One P. GR (Rank 12 and one of the 3 Lords):

Sobriquet: Molic One
Age: Unknown
Height: 7m 39cm (Normally about 2m)
Birthplace: Unknown
Position: All positions
Rank: 12

The eldest out of all 3 lords.

If Zahard is the symbolic ruler of the tower, Molic One is of course the actual and most powerful ruler. Even among the 3 lords he is the most powerful and his influence rivals that of a family head.

His name, Molic One derives from Molic, the area he lived in and Molic has the meaning of 'the absolute.'

As his name implies he was once the absolute ruler of the Molic area, but under Zahard's conciliation he became one of the 3 lords.

He is said to have been a powerful warrior not even Zahard could take lightly but because that was far in the past, there aren't many records left to prove this. He is said to have been skillful with his giant halberd and could fill in any position but it would be more correct to say he fought thoughtlessly, not bound by position.

After he became a lord Molic has been faithful to his duties and has turned into a very gentle and dignified(?) ruler. But the charisma he sometimes shows during the rulers' conference is said to be more than enough to overwhelm all the other rulers.

More Info on Eurasia Blossom (Rank 13):

Eurasia Blossom
Rank: 13
The family head of the Eurasia family.
Because she has the appearance of a young child and loves fancy clothing she was given the sobriquet Flower Shrimp.
Her skills at controlling shinsoo are said to be the best even among the 10 great family heads. But while Poe Vidor Gustang, another family head, was a pioneer of shinsoo research, Blossom never showed much interest on the subject.
(However, Blossom's capability on the battlefield is said to be above that of Gustang's)
It is told that Gustang was jealous of Blossom's talents and his jealousy can often found in Gustang's many works. In one of Gustang's earlier works it is written, "Blossom is one of the top wave controllers but she won't be able to teach you a thing. She doesn't even know how she does it herself," a snide remark on Eurasia.
Because of this, in the tower, when a talented person feels jealous of someone even more talented it supposed to be 'like how Gustang sees Blossom.'(Later, this phrase comes to mean a man and woman with a bad relationship.)
If Gustang was a 'helper' wave controller that used shinsoo to aid combat, Blossom was a 'offensive' wave controller, using shinsoo to attack a target directly. Because the way she manipulates shinsoo is wild and unpredictable, even other family heads are said to have fled when she started using shinsoo.
Although her skills don't fall behind the other family heads, Blossom hasn't involved herself to the politics of the tower since the great journey and has never looked after her family the tower floors she ruled. Because of this she received a lot of criticism from the other family heads.
Interestingly enough, Blossom and Gustang were once lovers but broke up after the famous Eurasia Enne Zahard incident(Enne Zahard is the child of Blossom and Gustang, and Blossom is said to have been against Enne becoming a Zahard princess). Afterwards the Eurasia family and the Poe Vidor family forbid all marriages between the families and have been very hostile toward each other.
Also, the Eurasia main family is opposed to Zahard princesses getting chosen from their family(or it could mean Zahard princesses getting chosen in general, it's too vague).
P.S. Laure is from a branch of the Eurasia family. This family loves to sleep and is talented at controlling shinsoo

More Information on Po Biduh Gustang (Rank 14):

Title: The Lonely Wave
Age: ???
Height: 1 m 83 cm
Birthplace: ???
Position: Wave Catcher
Ranking: 14

1. Po Biduh Gustang is the Tower’s most famous Wave Catcher and writer. Excluding the eccentrics within the Blacksmiths, he probably knows the most about the Tower.

2. Along with the glasses he wears to better see the flow of Shinsoo and an elegant brunette hair, he’s actually quite a handsome guy. However, because of his quiet, reserved expression, most find it hard to approach him, so he’s often the ‘target of affections’.
Blossom once commented on Gustang’s good looks,
“Yeah, he’s like an elegant, ancient book”
“…the same kind that make you yawn after reading.”

3. After splitting with Blossom, acting contrary to his appearance, he started to walk around with different women.
However, his greatest followers took his side and stated that he was acting up because the empty spot where Blossom once was too big.
Of course, when he went from a ‘nice guy’ to a ‘bad guy’, his popularity increased even more.
(This is all an old story…)

4. The males of Gustang’s clan work in a research group called the ‘Research Association’. If they do not make it as members, they are eventually kicked out of the clan. Because it is a very powerful and exclusive group, the members enjoy high reputation and fame, matched only by the ‘Chosen Children of Koon’.

5. Gustang and the Blacksmiths have a pretty close relationship. So much so that Macseth (The great father of Blacksmithing) and Gustang often get together to exchange stories.
Because of this close relationship, there exists a rumor that says ‘Gustang knows the way out of the tower’.
Hearing this rumor, Urek Mazino once visited Gustang to learn the way to leave the tower. However, he left after a while with a headache and complained to Baek Ryun,
“It’ll be easier for me to dig my way out of the tower with a spoon, than to learn anything from that guy.”

6. Other than Shinsoo and the Tower, Gustang was highly interested in researching the ‘Guide’ Position. However, the topic of the ‘Guide’ is a highly taboo topic within the ‘Research Association’. Perhaps it’s because of his pride as a researcher that he doesn’t want anyone else to take his research targets?

7. It’s widely known that Gustang was both Blossom’s greatest fan and hater. There are many stories floating around about the union of the two, however, most are fake.
But it is a fact that a certain legal document exists in the possession of the sealed Princess, Anne Jahad, that contains a secret about the two…

More Info on Grace Mircea Luslec (FUG Leader, Rank 15):

Grace Mircea Luslec
(Slayer No.1)
Sobriquet: Heretic (Tiger Fish)
Age: Unknown
Height: 1m 97cm
Birthplace: 80F Mircea
Rank: 15

Grace Mircea Luslec. The living 'god' of the most secretive and the most dangerous organization in the tower, FUG.

The objective of FUG is unclear, but it is a known fact that they hide in the darkest parts of the tower and corrupt people. Because of this, people call Luslec 'the god of devils' or 'the demon king.'

Luslec is said to have been one of the helpers that climbed the tower with 10 family heads, and it is unknown why that Luslec became corrupted enough to become the leader of FUG.

As you can tell from the rank, he is a superb warrior and the giant black hook he wielded is said to have pierced all.

FUG is sometimes compared with Wing Tree because of its opposition toward the 10 families. If FUG is a kind of 'religious order,' united under a single conviction, Wing Tree is a kind of 'social party' formed around a few select members. The two organizations have completely different natures, and some people are affiliated with both groups although FUG and Wing Tree do not get along.

The 10 families forbid their children from entering FUG and consider it their supreme task to eradicate the members, who hide in the remote parts of the middle area.

But this doesn't mean that FUG's influence in the tower rivals the 10 families. As long as the family heads have formed pacts with the guardian and manage the tower, FUG's influence cannot surpass the power of the heads no matter how strong it gets.

In spite of this, Luslec's rank exceeds that of some family heads because he is the one and only symbol of 'absolute darkness' in the tower.

Information on the Hendo Lok Bloodmadder (16 High Ranker)

Name: Hendo Lok Bloodmadder

Title: Long-Life Sea Turtle

(TN: That’s the official English given by the author)
Age: ???
Height: 13m 27cm

(TN: Don’t gloss over this height, this guy is a GIANT. 43.54 feet)
Birthplace: ??
Position: Defender (Special Position)
Ranking: 16

As a reward for passing its test, the Guardian of the 100th Floor of the Tower gave Zahard and the 10 Family Heads the gift of immortality.
However there was one who was excluded from the gift: The Hendo Family’s Head, Bloodmadder.
(Exact reason for why he was excluded is not known.)

Bloodmadder begged the Guardian for a way to receive eternal life,
And the Guardian made a single condition:

“If you give your child and your child’s child the curse of short life,
You will be able to live an eternal life alone, through the life you’ve taken from them.”

Although Bloodmadder was conflicted,
He could not overcome the fear of death.

And so, Bloodmadder accepted the Guardian’s condition and asked for immortality.
Since, all those born under Bloodmadder would be cursed with a short life.
(Of course, a ‘short life’ in the Tower is roughly a 100 years.
And it may be slightly longer for Rankers.
However, Hendo’s children cannot become immortal.)

Afterwards, to increase his longevity, Bloodmadder needed to sire many children.
Of the 10 Families, Bloodmadder is the one who’s had the most children.
(The one with the most wives is Koon Eduan.)
This is because his increased life is tied to his children’s sacrificed life spans.
No one knows the exact details of his contract with the Guardian,
But it’s clear that as he becomes older, he needs to maintain an increasing number of children.
(TN: Wow… this is just messed up… If you imagine that one of the princess of zahard is 5000+ old, then the family heads must be much older than that. If his children only live to be a 100, then this guy must have had and sacrificed hundreds of children…)

Perhaps this is the reason why the Hendo Family is one of the 10 Families with the least influence.
They also have smallest amount of Rankers.

But they maintain and uphold an ironclad set of rules,
And Bloodmadder’s position within the clan is absolute.
(The Rankers that uphold the Hendo Family are all Hendo’s adopted sons and daughters.)

Meanwhile, Hendo’s children who inherit his blood
Often lie about their backgrounds to marry.
Because of this “Deceiving Marriage”, Bloodmadder’s blood was scattered throughout the Tower,
And eventually forced the government to expand a significant amount of resources to seek out and isolate those carrying “Bloodmadder’s Blood”.

Bloodmadder’s title, “Long-Life Sea Turtle”
Comes from his drive toward immortality,
And also is tied to his position.

He holds a special position called the “Defender”.
It is a position that protects the Spear Bearer or the Light Bearer.
When he teamed up with the once greatest spear bearer in the Tower, Koon Eduan, it was said they were unstoppable.

(Of course, Bloodmadder is capable of filling all positions magnificently.)

In his comments SIU is stating that "He is a character very involved with Yu Han Sung"

Information about the "FUG":

1. Slayer

Within their infrastructure, FUG has 11 Slayers.
The origin of the name is very simple:
‘One who kills’ Zahard and the 10 Families.

There are 7 Slayers currently living:
5 have unknown whereabouts;
2 are reigning as ‘devils’,
And the remaining 4 positions are vacant.

2. Organization

FUG is at the same time an organization and not an organization.
They have no physical forms or headquarters, but membership is bound very strongly.
Similar to religious faith, membership of FUG is embedded deep within the members’ hearts,
And wherever they walk or stay becomes a headquarter of FUG.

3. Structure

FUG itself has no structure.
They are simply FUG, and they act upon faith of their Slayers.

The countless groups that operate under FUG simply work toward their given goals and do not associate directly with FUG.
They do not know the true form of FUG.
They only accept the fact that FUG is an existence darker then they are.

Information about a new organization, the Gong Bang (The Creation Room, The Blacksmiths):

1. Origin

No one knows the origin of Gong Bang (TN: In this context, ‘origin of Creating’).
And to find the origin is the group’s ultimate goal.
The Tower’s Gong Bang was started by the great father Macseth.
But according to Macseth, the Gong Bang exists outside of the Tower,
And the ultimate ambition of the Gong Bang is to find the order and reason of all creation in the world
And to know how to recreate all such creation, and by doing so, reach the God of all creation.

2. Macseth and the 4 Children

Macseth lived in the Tower before the 10 Family Heads entered,
And he was critical in helping the 10 Families climb the Tower.
It can be said that the ‘science’ that is used in the Tower originated from Macseth,
But truthfully there is almost nothing that is known about Macseth.

There are 4 students who are called his children:

Max, Mai, Mad, May

They are all ‘Artificial Lifeform’ created by Macseth,
And they hold the position of Great Teacher within the Gong Bang.

According to rumor, each of the four all hold different personalities and knowledge,
And one of them, contrary to his title of Great Teacher, is a very mischievous prankster.

The Ranking Administration, due to their relationship with the Gong Bang, do not include these four in the Rankings,
But overall, it is judged that the four have S-rank levels of combat capabilities and influence.

3. Disciple of the Gong Bang

Just like the Regulars of the Tower, the Disciples of the Gong Bang are also chosen, by the Teachers of Gong Bang.
After a set period of training, they become a Disciple of the Gong Bang.
As their position and title rises within the group, the Disciples enjoy benefits rivaling those of Rankers.

In special cases, a Disciple may be chosen to become a Regular.
In that case, the Disciple is expelled from the Gong Bang.

On the other hand, there also have been cases where a Ranker became a Disciple.
(Not expelled from the Rankings, however)

4. The Knowledge of the Gong Bang

The knowledge of the Gong Bang cannot be given to an outsider; this is the absolute law of the Gong Bang.
(If one leaves the group, his/her knowledge, by law, will be ‘sealed’.)
The Gong Bang only create items only for ‘One who is worthy’,
And this law is often applied even to Zahard and the 10 Families.

Generally, a Regular who has climbed more Floors has a better chance of receiving a higher quality item.
(And Rankers by their Rankings)

5. Relationship between Gong Bang and the Floor Rulers

The Gong Bang exists in the middle area of each Floor,
And from there, they perform the role of providing items to people.
However, they are not ruled by the Ruler,
And the Ruler cannot touch the Gong Bang’s laws and regulations.

One time, an administrator ignored these rules and created a commotion with the Gong Bang.
He was humiliated by a Teacher who happened to be there,
And when the news reached the Ruler of the Floor,
The Ruler came to the Gong Bang directly and asked for forgiveness from the Teacher.

And so, the Gong Bang exists completely outside the governance of the Tower’s Rulers,
And their combat power is also not to be taken lightly.

One may think that this kind of existence may threaten the power and balance of the Tower’s Rulers, but this is not the case.
This is because the Gong Bang have ‘absolutely no interest’ in the Tower’s power struggles and politics.

Information on the Axis/Exis, the driving forces in the TUS Universe:

Axis User is a person with power to influence the “tale”. They are the greatest variable that determines the future. They are named as such because their ability is invoked with the user as an axis. Apart from this fact, their abilities do not hold almost any similarity with each other. Non-Axis User is unable to interfere in any way. They are also known as the Axis/Axes.

Axis/Exis are those who leave an unchangeable record, or a god-like power that can lead and change history. Those who isn't an Axis/Exis cannot interfere with an Axis/Exis. (So even Enryu and Zahard cannot kill Phantaminum) Axis/Exis creates their own space and therefore keeps expanding (T/N: Poorly written text. It did not say what was expanding). For example, nobody in Tower of God (Part of TUS universe) can beat an Axis/Exis. It appears that it isn't a matter of strong or weak, as a weak Axis/Exis is still an Axis/Exis. Axis/Exis isn't an innate ability, it must be awakened - and depending on the strength of their abilities, they may even go berserk/out of control during the awakening. There appear to be different types of Axis/Exis (Striker, Observer), as well as classes among them. (Though it remains unclear whether this would still apply, as this is an old setting) Those with the strongest Axis/Exis power are called the 'king. Some of the known Axis/Exis are King of Conquest, Phoenix King (인조 could also mean Man-made/Artificial... You can't tell, without Chinese characters), Savior King, and many more characters in 'TUS' and 'Give me back my planet Earth!', as well as Phantaminum in 'Tower of God'.

Information on the 7th FUG Slayer, Baylord Yama
Sitting on the Seventh Seat of Power is Baylord Yama (베이로드 야마, Bae’ee’rohdeu Yahmah), also known as the King of Bayroad.
(GoDai: SIU seems to be utilizing the fact that “lord” and “road” are both read as “로드” in Korean pronunciation.)

Bayroad (베이로드, Bae’ee’rohdeu) is the name of a secretive ‘pit’ (투견장, too’gyeonjahng, or “Dogfight Arena”) said to be hidden somewhere in the Tower. However, that does not mean actual dogs are pitted against each other in this pit; ‘special fighters’ are the ones fighting, and they are collectively referred to as ‘Pitbulls.’ (투견, Too’gyeon, or “Fighting Dogs”)

A characteristic of Bayroad is the long and straight appearance of its arena. Pitbulls run out onto the arena from both sides and fight until one drops dead. It is said that even if one tries to escape, a terrible bed of blades waits at the end. Because the shape of this arena resembles a road, it was named Bayroad, ‘the road where pitbulls bark.’

The process through which these ‘Pitbulls’ are ‘created’ is very interesting. They are born through ‘Blood Fusion' (피 결합, Pi Gyeolhap, or “Blood Union,” “Blood Combination,” “Blood Bonding,” etc.) which is forbidden in the Tower. Blood Fusion is the process in which a specific ‘something’ from a Family possessing great power is mixed into a baby in its embryonic or fetal stages to grant it said power.

(GoDai: “Embryo” and “fetus” are both “태아” in Korean, so I’m not sure which SIU is referring to. For now, both will be referred to in this translation.)

(There are not many who know how to carry out Blood Fusion, and because its practice is absolutely forbidden in the Tower, even those who do know it have mostly been murdered or have gone missing.)

Children who manage the very small probability of surviving Blood Fusion (Most embryos and fetuses cannot endure the side effects and die) are raised to become tools of entertainment to entertain those who come to the pit, and so these children grow to fight as Pitbulls.

Baylord Yama was one such Pitbull, and it is told that he was the strongest Pitbull of all time.

In the pit, he was a god of death (사신, 死神, sahshin) who drove opponents to doom, and people came to nickname him "Yama, the Lord of the Dead" (야마, 죽은자들의 왕, Yahmah, Joog’eunjahdeul’eui Wahng, or “King of the Dead”) out of respect for him.

Later, he killed his own keeper (사육사, sah’yooksah, or “breeder,” “master”), successfully became the only Pitbull to ever escape from Bayroad, and climbed the Tower. Although no exact details are known regarding this procedure, it is rumoured that Imort (이모르트, Ee'mohreuteu, or “Immorte,” etc.), another Slayer of FUG, was involved.

After becoming a Ranker, Yama returned to Bayroad with FUG’s power on his back and killed the previous owner of the pit. Hence, he simultaneously became the King of the Pitbulls and a Slayer of FUG.

(Because of this, it has been frequently hypothesized that the domination of Bayroad was the final condition he had to fulfill to became a Slayer)

It is rumoured that he is currently using the enormous revenue made in Bayroad as a weapon to build mysterious pleasure and entertainment facilities (유흥시설, yooheung shiseol, a la adult entertainment involving alcohol, drugs, and sex) everywhere throughout the Tower and therefore expanding his influence and power. However, he has never showed his face since becoming a Slayer.

The most interesting info is the one Ashul Edwaru, maker of the 13 month series, do about the outer world! So Zahard comes from outside the tower, and it is implied all irregulars too... Funny they don't understand air...

And the other piece of info that I found interesting was about the values of shinsoo made by Bedur Goostang. But we can only understand that better if we knew the values from Laure, Lero, Yuri and Enryu for example.... So we could have a good notion of how strong is everyone...

LOL ni-chan beat me to it. :D Well I used the information about the 7 high Rankers to make the general Ranker thread. Are we going to post everything that SIU posts in his blog here first and then make a thread about it? Or how are we going to handle it? :p

:D

We will bundle everything here, that way newcomers don't need to look at every thread but can get a good overview in one compiled thread. Feel free to post any information released here in another thread/discussion though, it would be kinda annoying if you need to take a look at this one thread all the time.

The Thread will most likely be stickied later on, that way he won't get lost.

I added Titles and Known Positions.

There is no card for Lahel and Baam?

Eros is right, sadly there are no cards for Rachel and Baam. I guess it's too early to reveal information about them.

Summarized and added the information the author gave us in the season 1 postlogue because I think he told us quite a few interesting things there

I still have a hard time believing this, haha~ I always thought that Han Sung is a female. :fail

Lero-ro's dot's are based on the design of Pikachu. It's not a dot/mole though but a drawing. It symbolizes that a special test has been conducted.

Now who would think that such small detail has a significant meaning? Leroro seems to be more powerful and clever than he looks, right? :p

Even Noblesse now has some kind of books to it, right? He shouldn't be that pessimistic. :XD

I'm the same, I have no idea why he wants him to look like a female (which he admitted himself without saying why he did so).

yeah he really seems to be, but not just because of his drawings :p anyway, I like that SIU has an idea behind the concept he makes for a character and that it's not just for the looks. I respect this guy more and more, it looks like he really has this whole world in his mind and isn't just going chapter by chapter.

Even Noblesse now has some kind of books to it, right? He shouldn't be that pessimistic. :XD

well Noblesse is a lot older (these books you speak of are Danhengbon XD) and seems to be relatively popular in South Korea. My guess is that he is still far away from such an achievement but I strongly believe that he can do it too, he really shouldn't be that pessimistic.

Very good idea. It would be lovely to know more stories behind these secretive characters.

Yup, I'm already looking forward to this! Wouldn't mind some kind of sidestory instead of a regular chap but ofc it would be awesome if he could do both at the same time (one or two times) XD

these no are just the means to gauge ones hold in the respective areas. it would have been bit more useful if a maximum achievable no was given like say 30/100 kind a thing

that is still entirely far too much of a generalization. We have no clue what possessing a rank of say "10" in something is.

Kind of odd that having a middle C would be good enough to be a Ranker.

10 is the lowest number you can get for a rank, 1A is the highest rank you can get while 10F is the lowest. The only difference is in the position rating, where a 10 would be something around the middle.

Take in mind that the power levels in ToG vastly differ, rank C differs a damn lot to compared to rank F. Only the upper echelon should have rank B or above.

No, 10 as in -99 to 99.

You don't know what the number really means. How strong is it really.

It's impossible to have an idea of what absolute figure really means. It's best to compare them between each others.
Anyway, if a beginner regular start with -95, I guess achieving 10 means that you have mastered half of the competence potential.
Also A rank is not the maximum one, there seems to be at least an S rank above.

More info on the Wing Tree organization and one of the co-founders, and strongest members.

As a regular, he quickly becomes a ranker;

Urek Mazino, delighted by Backryun's confession, asks to leave with him;
However, Backryun declines the offer, saying that he cannot leave this forest which is like his own life.

The males of his clan are selected to be part of the 'Research Association' (Similar to how Koon's family chooses amongst its children, those who are not chosen are disowned and kicked out). FATHER OF #7 (DUN DUN DUN). Has an extremely bad relationship with #13.

15. Grace Miruchia Luslec [Tiger Fish] [Fisherman] - Slayer No. 1 (Leader) of FUG.

Here are some additional information concerning the 13th high Ranker.

Eurasia Blossom
Sobriquet: Flower Shrimp
Age: Unknown
Height: 1m 55cm
Birthplace: Unknown
Position: Wave Controller
Spoiler

And the last one is about the 3 lords of the tower.

The 3 Lord System

He strongly asserts the advancement to the next floor Because he love alcohol, he was named Joochun for 'alcoholic river'(Joo-alcohol chun-river) He was born between Ari Han and a mother who was native to the tower, but her mother is said to have died as she gave birth to him. There is a rumor that he is a drinking buddy to Urek Mazino, but this is unconfirmed.

3. Magician/Flux
The lord known as the Magician. He is the first disciple of Mexes and is one of the fathers of the factory. Like all the other fathers of the factory, Magician is and artificial organism created by Mexes. However, no one has seen his real self, and only the illusions he made appear here and there in the tower.

I am glad someone else posted them, I was waiting. I didn't want to keep editing that one post over and over, I wish you could have back to back posts to make it easier to read but it's impossible lol.

Thanks Los and Haho, I added the information to the first post! Fixed a mistake regarding Adori Zahard, who is supposed to own the Golden December. There isn't a Golden December though, so I'm pretty sure it has to be the Golden November

Added Information on 8 of the 10 Great Families in the first post too

After conquering the Tower with Jahad, the 10 Great Warriors each start their own clan. These are the Ten Great Clans. Although not as talented as Jahad, each clan still possessed incredible talents. The Ten Clans are:

Arie (Leader: Arie Hon; Known Members: Arie Hagipherione Jahad)
Koon (Leader: Koon Eduan; Known Members: Koon Agnis Agero, Koon Hatchuling, Koon Maschenny Jahad, Koon Maria Jahad)
Bia (Leader: ???; Known Members: Lo Po Bia Ren)
Biduh (Leader: Po Biduh Gustang)
Tu Peri (Leader: Tu Peri Tperi)
Eurasia (Leader: Eurasia Blossom; Known Members: Eurasia Anne Jahad, Phonsekal Laure (Branch Family) )
Ha (Leader: Ha Yurin; Known Members: Ha Yuri)
Ma (Leader: ???)

Looks like we missed quite some info, there's a lot more translated already :zomg Added this to the front page:

So please stop asking me who the main character is ;;

Of course, you still can’t compare them to Androssi’s strength or Koon’s brains ^^;

On a sidenote I really want to see the mentioned lords or more like look 100 chapters ahead and see all the badassery :hee

Most of you might’ve noticed, but this test
Is an idea borrowed from the Dragon Ball’s Tenchibukai test.
Truthfully, it’s a common concept that appears quite often in shonen manhwa,
But I thought it’d be fun, and I always wanted to draw a scene like this,
So I chose this test.
(In reality, Leroro’s Shinsoo Wall test was also a shonen staple ^^;;
You can take this test as a similar one)

Lately, I’ve been loaded with work, and preparing for the next part’s completion
Is taking a toll on my health
I didn’t get to go out once this week… ah.. I want to see the sun…
And so for the next few chapters, there won’t be a sudden increase in content
It’s regrettable, but it’s better to have a consistent level of content, so please don’t get angry with me, ^^

Ah, and it seemed like many people were curious about the names of the characters in Part 2.

Silver-hair: Hon Arkraptor
Teddy Bear: Kang Ho-ryang
Schoolgirl: Yeo Mi-seng
Glaasesgirl: Yeo Go-seng
Delivery kid: Nya Nia

Other character’s names will be revealed throughout the chapters.

Thankyou~!

This weeks authors translation.

Credits:25th_chestnut @batoto

And the power game stops now.
After drawing nothing but complicated tests,
it was nice having such a simple test for once, lol
It's like I was a kid again

The biggest difference between Part 1 and Part 2 is, of course, Koon.
If a genius scammer like Koon appears, then the games get complicated, lol.

About the name Viole (TN: Baam's fake name)
The name Viole is from the color Violet,
and the full name is Jyu Viole Grace.
More details will be revealed next week.

Hwa Jeop Gong Pa Sul (TN: Eh.. I'll let the Company translate this more closely; it's the name of Baam's attack style, as noted by Love, in the chapter; Also, Love also says "FUG?" right after, implying it's a fighting style of FUG members) is a one of the striking styles that uses Shinsoo.
Basically, it involves transferring the shock of Shinsoo from one's body to the target object.
It's a pretty dangerous skill.
(I'm currently preparing a file on Shinsoo usage, once I'm done, I'll put it up on the blog)

As for Yeon,
She's seems like a character roughly similar to Androssi (pretty, feminine, good stats)
However there's a degree of difference,
You'll see what I mean.

Next week,
We'll begin the story of Wang-nan
which you won't be able to read without crying, lol
Please look forward to it~

Very interesting information and maybe one of the most disturbing ones on the 16 High Ranker:

In his comments SIU is stating that "He is a character very involved with Yu Han Sung"

so we get a new position and a possible relation to Yu Han Sung. He may even be the person Yu Han Sung was talking too, who knows.
And some of the Guardians really must be god-like beings if one can make the whole Zahard group immortal o____O

Updated the 10 Great Families:

Added information about the "FUG":

1. Slayer

Within their infrastructure, FUG has 11 Slayers.
The origin of the name is very simple:
‘One who kills’ Zahard and the 10 Families.

There are 7 Slayers currently living:
5 have unknown whereabouts;

And a new organization, the Gong Bang (The Creation Room, The Blacksmiths):

One of Macseth's children is Flux/Magician, he's one of the three lords of the Tower. Here's a little update about him:

The 4 Children and Magician are separate.

More basic info from Northerncolors @mf

Spear Bearer and Wave Master

A proper Spear Keeper could throw a spear tens of kilometers away, with the support of Lighthouse. Lighthouse has a feature which can adjust and guide the trajectory of the spear.

Wave Master does not mean someone who can manipulate Shinsoo. (This ability is almost a requirement to become a Ranker) It just refers to the position which takes part in battle using Shinsu. There are extremely few people who are a “Wave Master” in this sense.
The highest figure for Shinsoo ever recorded was handled by Enryu. Shinsoo exceeding 9000 Bang was recorded by a Lighthouse during his/her battle.

Shinsoo resistance and Shinsoo physical strengthening are natural abilities and has nothing to do with the contract with the Administrator of the Floor.

Names Info (including Rachel, Koon and the 13 Month series)

While the girl’s name is written as Lahel in Korean, her actual English name is Rachel. The author admitted that he borrowed the name Rachel from the bible (written as Lahel in the Korean bible).

Koon’s correct English name should be Kun Aguero Agnis. The author admitted that he borrowed his name from Sergio Aguero (Sergio Leonel "Kun" Agüero del Castillo), the football player.

The names of Black March and other 13 Month Series are engraved on them in Japanese. This is because their creator, Ashul Edwaru uses a language that is based on Japanese. The author made it clear that there is no significance behind this, as Chinese, Arabic and other languages are also used throughout this manhwa.

Zahard Princesses

- The strongest princesses are Adori Zahard, the owner of Golden November, and En Zahard, the owner of Colorless December. En Zahard is currently sealed. Both of them are top 10 high rankers.

- Anak is older than Androssi, despite Androssi being her “aunt”.

- Ha Family is blessed with the greatest Shinsoo physical strengthening power in the Tower, thanks to the contract with the Administrator. This explains Yuri’s ridiculous strength.

- Zahard Family does not officially have a Prince.

T.U.S. universe setting

The author pronounces it as “Tales User Story” in Korean, but has written it as Talse Uzer Story on the top of every chapter. Confusing.

Anyway T.U.S. is a universe under the premise that “The world comprises of several tales as its center, and these tales persist as unchangeable records.” It forms the basis for author’s works such as TOG, Carnival, :Comic:, etc.

Once written, a tale from T.U.S. universe cannot be set back or restored to previous state. Hence the past becomes permanently fixed, which in turn restrict future events. It’s a universe that rejects the existing hypothesis that the world holds infinite possibility.

Items/Weapons

A-grade items are extremely rare in the Tower, so even Rankers can’t lay their hands on them so easily. Only High Rankers possess multiple A-grade items. Black March is a B-grade weapon that turns A-grade after activation.

Colossal Blue Spear (Mentioned in season 1, chapter 41) is a B-grade (after activation) javelin owned by Eduan Kun (Kun’s father). There are currently 11 of them. After activation, it is said to wipe everything off its path. This is yet to be confirmed, as Eduan has never thrown them yet.

Vagneel (Also mentioned in season 1, chapter 41) is a javelin that is shot like an arrow. B-grade after activation.

Carrier (Also mentioned in season 1, chapter 41) is a combination of 3 types of inventory, pocket, lighthouse and coffin. Only 10 were ever made. They allow an Angler to take every position. Although not really practical, it is still an attractive item. 3 of them are A-grade, while the rest are B-grade. Adori Zahard also uses Carrier.

And now who do you think is SIU's favourite character? :derp
Yes, the author’s favorite character in TOG is Rachel, as of 2011/01/24 :amuse

Tu Perie Tperie is the head of the Tu Perie Family. The first Light Bearer of the Tower, no one knows how he came to be that position. Whenever he reminisces about the time he became a Light Bearer, he’s known to have said “The Heavens gave me the Eyes of God”. However, it could be possible people chose to believe a “well-fabricated story” rather than a “solid truth”.

After the Great Journey (TN: Zahard and the 10 conquering the tower), he is one of the most active Family Heads, and along with the Blacksmiths, and created many items. He is also the founder of the system in which the Light Bearer acts as the intermediary for all communications within a team. The most famous of his creations is the ‘Opera’ Lighthouse, one of the greatest Lighthouses of the tower

No real need to add it Sha, it's already in the front post because another guy already translated the parts about the high rankers. These are just "The Company's" translations.

Thanks for posting it though :)

Information about Robert Aisand (Deputy director of Office of Ranker/Ranking Management)

Robert Aisand is a deputy director of Office of Ranker/Ranking Management (T/N: SIU mixes up the word Ranker/Ranking. In this article, 'Ranker' was used.). He isn't a Ranker, even though Tommi, the director, included him in the Ranking for fun.

It has been said that Urek Mazino, who wasn't happy with the fact that his Ranking was lower than that of Phantaminum, threatened Aisand to raise his Ranking. When Urek asked "Have you ever seen me fight Phantaminum?", Aisend replied "You'll be the loser" without hesitation. Since then, Urek has been teased in the Wing Tree by being called Urek Loserno, Loserek Mazino, Uloser Mental Majinot Line (T/N: The French pronunciation of Majinot is the same as Mazino).

Some really interesting information by a reliable fan of the series. There's a lot of text but it's definitely worth reading :nod

Some pretty interesting things:

Robert Aisand

Robert Aisand

Sobriquet: Cold Wave
Age: ???
Height: 1m 95cm (195cm)
Birthplace: ???
Position: ??? (GoDai: Sobriquet suggests Wave Wielder)
Ranking: ?

The deputy director of the "Ranker Administration Office" (랭커 관리국, Raengkeo Gwahnligook; or "Ranker Affairs Bureau"), which is one of the groups with the most influence in the Tower. (For your information, the director is Tommi.) He is a man hidden behind veils - so unknown that even Jahad does not know any of the details of his birth. Thanks to his outstanding and precise ability to handle matters and his silent personality, he is also known by the nickname "Robot Aisand." (At some time, there was a widespread rumour that he was an office-use cyborg created at the Workshop/Gongbang, but this was "officially" denied by the Workshop.) Tommi actually calls him by the nickname "Aisan."

As the very first person put into the position by Tommi after Zahard chose Tommi to set up the Ranker Administration Office, Aisand is a man with outstanding ability in handling matters, precise decision-making skills, and charisma. He is the opposite of Tommi, whose actions seem to say "Screw charisma, handling matters, and decision-making." Aisand is always working silently in place of Tommi, who always goes around to play.

Although strictly speaking Aisand is not a Ranker, but he possesses an authority equal to that of a Ranker because he was recruited by the Administration Office. Usually, the work carried out at the Administration Office is the administration and adjustment of High Rankers. You could say that, in a way, he is the person who has the most important authority in the Tower.

Because he has never climbed the Tower, it is impossible to know how much battle power he has; seeing how he himself said "I have never fought since the day I was born," it seems that he only has the battle power of an average person.

However, despite this, he never cowers, even before High Rankers - It is said that there are many cases in which he overwhelms them instead. (GoDai: Charisma Level: Badass)

For example, there was a time when Urek Majino, who had a complaint about his rank being lower than Pentaminum's, broke into the Ranker Administration Office, captured Aisand, and threatened him to raise his rank. To Urek, who asked "Have you ever seen me fight Pentaminum?" Aisand answered briefly and without hesitation "You will become a loser." Urek Majino, shocked, could do nothing but go home bitterly.

After that, Urek Majino was teased and called names such as Urek Loser-no, Loser-rek Majino, U-Loser Mental Majino-seon within the Wingtree, and it is said that it was of such a scale that things such as comic books and humour books that retold this incident were published, sold, and became popular. (Baekryun powerfully asserted that these comics would have a great effect in depression treatment.)

Aisand's trademark is his long silver hair that reaches down to the ends of his feet; overall, this goes well with his masculine appearance that has a pronounced figure, and gives off a peculiar feeling. He also does not have a small presence, so when together with the short Tommi, they could even appear to be father and son.

In reality, opinions on Aisand's rankng are divided. However, the majority argues that, ignoring battle ability and purely based on influence, he can compete with FUG or the heads of the 10 Great Families.

As stated earlier, Aisand is not a Ranker so he should normally not be included in the rankings, but due to Tommi's powerful mischievousness (?) he came to be included in the rankings. One day, Tommi sent a message asking Aisand about what ranking Aisand would give to himself if he could score himself, and Aisand replied to him with ? (GoDai: Number not given), which Tommi literally put in the rankings.

(For your information, Tommi is not included in the rankings.)

Talk between Anak and Androthy after Baam was "killed":

1. After Yisoo and Kun left the room to talk, Anak Jahad and Andorthy Jahad were spending a time of silence. Although Andorthy was always bound to create friction between herself and others just like a dry matchstick would, tonight she seemed weak and drained as if she had been soaked by rain.

"... Why did you decide to go with us?" Anak reluctantly said to Andorthy.

Andorthy, lying on the bed sideways, glanced at Anak and said, "Not sure.."

"... If you go with me your position of Princess of Jahad may be at risk. You still want to go even though you know that?"

As Anak continuously asked questions, Andorthy answered slowly, staring at the ceiling for a long time. She then dumbfounded Anak by asking a strange question.

"Lizard, during those years you were separated from your mother.. Where were you?"

(GoDai: The Korean word for "lizard" is 도마뱀, Doh-mah-baem. Korean names are usually 3 syllables also, so Andorthy calls Anak 마뱀, Mah-baem, as if her family name was 도, Do. It would be similar to calling her Liza or Zard instead of Lizard.)

".. What?"

"Tell me, where is this place that not even the losers from the Palace can't find. I want to go and live there later."

"...."

This time, Anak was the one taking her time to answer. Anak, making a serious face that wasn't like her, thought, then opened her mouth as if she had made a decision.

"The 43rd floor."

"!!"

Upon hearing Anak's words, Andorthy's pupils moved here and there, shaking rapidly. From the lights on the ceiling, to the edge where the ceiling and the wall met, then to the simply-patterned wallpaper, finally to Anak Jahad.

Not even blinking her eyes blinded by the afterimage of the light, Andorthy asked Anak.

"The 43rd floor!? The place where Enryu appeared?"

"Yeah."

"Isn't that place the floor of death, where there is no Administrator? How did you..?"

(GoDai: Of course, by Administrator I mean Guardian. Just going with my preferred translation.)

Anak sat up and steadied her breath. Would it be okay to tell this story to Andorthy. Wouldn't she be sharing her own misfortune with a young princess who had a bright future ahead of her. Complicated thoughts dug into her head.

However, nothing could be done about it now. The girl before her seemed so dry that she needed to be set on fire.

(GoDai: The expression here is comparing curiosity to dryness and information to fire.)

So, Anak decided to throw her just a little ember.

"Garam Jahad. She was there."

Yeon Hana (Head of the Yeon Clan):

Yeon Hana

Sobriquet: Cichlid
Age: ???
Height: 1m 69cm (169cm)
Birthplace: ???
Position: Fisherman, Wave Wielder
Ranking: 17

The Family Head known to be the most beautiful among the 10 Family Heads. Although she is the Family Head of the Yeon Family, in fact there is not a single child in the Yeon Family who has received her blood. All children of the Yeon Family are the sons and daughters of "Ilarde (godmother)," who is an old fellow family member (gwonsok;) of Hana, and Yeon Hana herself is a virgin who has never embraced a man.

(GoDai: The term used here for "family member" has various meanings. It can mean "member of household" as in "Member of the Household of God" - Religious groups calling themselves family, even if not family by blood. Same with "the children/brood of darkness" and "fraternity/sorority" - This term can refer to literal family or people that consider each other to be family.)

Although she is sometimes suspected to be a misandrist (men-hater) due to this reason, she actually has a gentle personality (which is very rare among the 10 Family Heads) that treats both men and women kindly. According to a rumor, she could not forget a man whom she broke up with a long time ago, and so made a contract with the Administrator (Guardian) to become a "Female that cannot feel love towards the opposite sex."

(GoDai: Can she be a lesbian then?)

Although she has a gentle personality, according to the 10 Family Heads, she is "the most scary woman when angry." It is said that when angered once, she surpassed Ha Yurin, who was famous for having a terrible personality, but this is impossible to confirm in the current time in which the 10 Family Heads are not active in public.

Her fellow family member Ilarde gives birth to and raises her children in her stead, so the children of the Yeon Family all call her "godmother." Once every 5 years, Ilarde selects (seonbyeol; "choose") a man to sleep with her, and it is said that Rankers from all over the Tower gather for a chance to become that man. Ilarde's eyes for choosing men are very "cold" so unless one is a decent male Ranker, it is difficult to even get past the paper document interview. Selected males live in the palace for 5 years, and only one of these men will receive the right to sleep with Ilarde, and if a child is born, they attain the glory of being accepted into the Family.

Like the Ha Family, the Yeon Family is a thoroughly matriarchal (mother-centered) family, so males can take central roles in neither the main house or the branch house of the Family. Thanks to this, the females of the Yeon Family, especially those of the main house, have a tendency to look down on men.

(GoDai: Is it just me or does this article have more sexual terms than the entirety of the Tower of God series combined)

Info about 7th Slayer:
Baylord Yama

Bayroad is basically the name of a hidden place where pit fights occur.
They don't actually fight using real dogs, but they call those that fight there "pit bulls/dogs"
It's called Bayroad because this arena looks like a road where pit bull/dogs bark (This is two sentences combined into one. Some aspects were lost. Wait for a full one from other people o.o)

One specialty about Bayroad is the shape of its arena.
It's basically a long strip of road where the dogs from each side fight each other to death.
They can't run away, as a field of sword/knifes await them on their sides.

These pit bulls/dogs are made through combining bloods ( a forbidden act in the Tower).
You basically inject "something" powerful into a fetus.
(Not many know this practice. Because this is a forbidden act, those who know this went missing or was killed.)

Those children (most die from side effects) are raised as "eye candies" for those who visit the pit cage.

Baylord Yama was one of these children and the strongest pit bull/dog in history.
In the pit cage, he was the reaper who took his opponent's lives, so in respect they gave him the nickname, Yama (King of the dead).
Afterward, he killed his keeper and became the first pit bull/dog to climb the tower after successfully escaping from Bayroad.

Not much is known about how he climbed the Tower.
There are rumours that another slayer, Imort/Emort/something like that, helped him.

After becoming a ranker, he went back to the pit cage, and killed the owner to become the new one. He also became a slayer then.
(People guess that his final condition to become a slayer was to suppress the Bayroad.)

It is rumored that with the cash from Bayroad, he's building numerous secret nightlife facilities, further increasing his influence.
However, he hasn't been seen since after becoming a slayer.

(Will be edited in in the future)
(Again, not a full translation. Also, I didn't check my wordings and grammar, so there may be parts where you go "what is this guy saying?")

About the term 'Imort' on this profile, GoDai wrote in a later post:

I wasn't sure how it should be spelled. Like what you said there, I did think it sounded similar to the origins of the English word "Immortal" but in Korean, it was written "이모르트" and not "임모르트," which implies one "m" sound ("Immortal" is often read "임모탈" in Korean pronunciation, implying two "m" sounds).
Not sure overall. Whenever SIU introduces a term, I usually try searching up guesses of how the word may be written in English a thousand different times... "Reflejo" surprisingly took a long time to derive from "리플레조" because searches kept giving me "Ripley" for the "리플레" part. Thank goodness we're not calling him Ripleyjo.
"Imorte" will probably end up being "Immorte" but seeing how SIU wrote "Baylord Yama" in English for us, he'll probably write Imorte's name in English when he writes up his profile. When that happens, I'll change the spelling accordingly.

It could also be a variation of the name of a soccer player. Happens often, eh?

SIU mentions something about people asking him to tweet in English, but he is unable to. He would like to though, but thinks 5 years would pass before he would be good at English.

I kind of like that he thinks he wouldn't be able to spend 10 years writing ToG. Another One Piece would be too much for me.
