Nah, it was great chapter IMO. And I'm pretty sure Snake is a dead man.

Awesome reminder of what i really liked about the action in Vinland saga. An interesting turn of events...even thought a short chapter, things are certainly getting heated up.

@Sachsenhesse
Firstly, why are you using MR instead of Batoto (http://www.batoto.net/read/_/80460/vinland-saga_v11_ch80_by_happyscans/1) which is approved by Hox? MR and MF are the worst manga agregators out there.
Secondly, in case you didn't notice I was commenting on chapter 80 so I'm perfectly aware of the events that took place in it. It's just that in VS sparing your opponent usually is a huge mistake and Snake hit Gardar with a blunt edge of his sword. I'm pretty sure it's not the end of it. Even if Gardar doesn't use a sucker punch, I'm not sure how Thorfinn will react once Snake will decide to punish Einar. Heck, we don't even know whether Thor is protecting Einar from Snake or Gardar. It just seems too easy and I don't see how it could end like this. What would be the purpose of introducing Gardar in that case? THIS? I doubt it.

Why would Snake punish Einar? I'm lost there. By "Thor" do you mean Thorfinn because it can be a bit confusing since there's also "Thors" and "Thorkell".

I think we're going to see Gardar get brutually punished by Snake and Co and Einar get mad at Thorfinn for not doing anything about it.

Then Canute's Troops will seize the farm and kill Snake (among others)

Gardar, Arneis, Thorfinn, and Einar will then escape in the chaos caused by Canute's troops.

Why would Snake punish Einar? (...)
I don't know, maybe because Einar was planning on helping Gardar kill him and if not for Thorfinn he would have tried it? Sure, he would probably be dead (not necessarily) but even then having a distraction like this could have costed Snake his life.

And what other Thor do we have in this chapter, huh?

Did you notice Snake's curved sword? Someone at NF mentioned that Snake might be from Middle East.

^ interesting point. Were curved swords totally foreign to the europeans at the time?

Not necessarily (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Szabla#History).

dont listen to the guy above, europeans didnt use that kind of swords at that time, they came in later during wars with ottoman empire. Snake can speak danish and read latin, the only chance of him being born a Turk or Iranian is if he get cought and became a slave. ( ketil's father? )

lol
If anything "don't listen to the guy who wrote the article on Wikipedia". But it's a fact it was being used in Europe from 6th century, although not on a global scale.
