That cover looks like a flashback of Kwon, Jinie and Ha-Il from when the 3 of them were getting along before the whole Shioon saga. Though the symbolism of the Elder turning his back on them is pretty clear.

Yeah... I guess Kwon is right about ONE thing at least: Shioon HAS been turning things upside down ever since he came to the Sunwoo clan - First, he manages to turn the most stubborn one among the Elders into his fan and next he manages to turn two subordinates that Kwon raised by himself to his side as well... Althrough to be fair, Ha-Ill now going over to Shioon's side is not Shioon's fault (at least nbot directly), since Ha-Ill doesn't care about Shioon but cares about Jinie, whom Kwon has lately not been treating well and just recently outright declared he was willing to abandon, so it's really all Kwon's fault :eyeroll

Hmm, maybe, but let's keep in mind that covers don't always hints at the events in a chapter. Some covers are rather random, others (like this one) are meant to be symbolic, others (such as the cover of 55) says something about what'll happen in the chapters and/or who'll appear there and yet others (such as the cover of chapter 25) have implications of what the future holds... I guess we'll see which one this is on Friday (as I said, I think it's just meant to be symbolic, but we won't know for sure until Friday).

If anything, that cover could mean that we are in for a flashback from Elder Kwon soon, that's about it. Both Jinie and Ha-Il are out for the count for now so they can't join the action and I just don't see Kwon helping Shioon in this incident.

Yep, looks like Ha-Ill, Jinie and Elder Kwon. The art should be a symbol of how the characters are linked with each other. Whilst, Ha-Ill has bonds with Jinnie, Elder is walking away from them. Call it pride or Kwon's disapproval for Jinnie.

although it may look like lots of time has passed, all this was happening while shiion is fighting.

Edit: Well now this chapter at least seems to redeem last week's chapter which was a real letdown in my opinion. Really the only complaint I have is that Shiwoon took down a Master-class opponent with only 3 hits which if you think of it seems pretty ridiculous. Then again with him having godly Ki and whatnot it still doesn't come off as a surprise seeing as how I'm sure his punches pack more than enough power to take down probably anybody except for GMR of course lol. I just hope we can get a translation soon because it seems like Ha-Il reveals something important to Elder Kwon.

Pretty awesome chapter. Poor eye glass guy got a direct hit on the chest after the flicker technique! That's what you get in underestimating your enemy. Plus it ended up as a one hit KO after all. Can't wait on the translation of the phone call conversation between the old head dude and the clown guy. The old dude seems pretty pissed because of the phone call and it is not a very good timing for Shiwoon. I guess Jinie will save him again this time.

He accidentally wrote HweRyongBalGak instead but since it was written as Gyuk in the previous chapter cliffhanger as well as the preceding chapter I've gone with the correct version instead. Also because Gak is generally used for kicks not punches. Presumably this will later be fixed as was the case for Chapter 28. If you people start making fucking mistakes with this like you did with that when you started claiming that ShiWoon knew the SunWoo Lightning Strike thingamabob I fucking quite translating. Seriously do not jump to fucking stupid lameass dipshit conclusions like that for the love of God and use your fucking brains for once.

Elder: I seem to have underestimated you. I didn't think you'd be able to regain consciousness that easily after being hit by my ki attack.

HaIl: Elder... There is something I must tell you about lady HeJin.

You know what fuck it there is only so much text that I am willing to translate so I'll just summarize the rest instead since it's long as fuck even without that.

According to HaIl, HeJin did not run away because she was against the marriage. In fact, the one who broke the engagement off in the first place was the SunWoo clan head. When he was young, HaIl came upon the head breaking it off. HaIl confronted the family head, telling him that things would go bad if the Elder heard of it. The family head replied that it didn't matter what happened, that he had somebody else he loved and that he could no longer conceal his feelings.

The Elder doesn't believe this at first, since HeJin never told him anything like that. The reason HeJin left was because she realized what would happen if the Elder knew the truth. She knew that he'd come into conflict with the family head, and that the SunWoo clan would end up being ruined. She also ordered HaIl not to reveal the truth, which is why the Elder knew nothing about the whole affair. HaIl says that he was tempted to tell the Elder many times but never could because of the order, because HeJin was someone who was willing to become a traitor in the eyes of everyone she loved for the sake of the clan and her father, and he couldn't bring himself to disobey the order given to him by such a person. The only reason he's going against that now is because he doesn't want JiNi to earn the ire of the Elder as a result of HeJin's sacrifice.

HaIl begs the Elder to help the temporary head (ShiWoon) since JiNi may be in trouble and...

ELDER SAYS FUCK NO. FUCK THE PAST. THE SUNWOO CLAN WILL SOON BECOME MINE. I DON'T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT SOME BITCH'S AFFAIRS.

Everything so far is going according to my prediction (and so many were so skeptical :P ), now it'd be nice if the other half of my prediction came true with Hyuk So Chun rescuing Shioon (and he is more than capable of holding off the Elder with his bodyguards there) and Sera grabbing Jini.

Ah that's true my mistake, I forgot that Sera doesn't know about the current situation (I'm just so used to her knowing everything that it slipped my mind). But I guess what I was trying to say is that if the Elder doesn't care that Jini is in the danger then he wouldn't really care if he saw her injured. It looks to me like he went off the deep end in the end of the chapter and threw away any humanity he had left inside him for his life long goal of becoming the Clan's leader behind the shadows.

:blai OMG i loved so much when Shioon called the glasses guy fake disciple :D and that blow , i waited so many months to see again that exploding punch :crying . Yeah it was very touching seeing Shioon almost like his past self and he actually defeated a master class , not bad at all :) .
Now i hate Elder more than ever , i mean even after hearing what happened with his daughter , knowing that she didn't betray the Sun-woon clan he still can't let go of those selfish desires , he only cares about becoming the head :-_- . :darn i really can't stand him and i would be very surprised if he suddenly becomes a good person and lets Shioon live . I wish GMR would appear right there and stop Elder :D . I know this is kinda impossible but i can't help it since i miss him showing up in the story.

Looks like my prediction for how the fight would be resolved last week was pretty spot on. It's also a little funny to me the truth behind Hae-Jin leaving the clan since I had also considered those circumstances to be her real reason for abandoning the clan. After all the head of the clan couldn't run away from his marriage and his clan, as Jinie's mother was able to.

Anyway I'm drawing on my prediction for this chapter from a few significant pieces of info we gained in previous chapters. Elder Kwon has been the elder most concerned with keeping the clan out of any situation that could potentially give reason for the rest of Murim to rise up against the Sunwoo. I imagine it would be perfectly suitable for his fears to be realized, however the cause of such realization would be his own actions. Another few details worth mentioning is that the SUC underling had warned the goth girl that their group had been operating out in the open for too long, meaning that the eyes of the alliance will fall upon them eventually. The SUC also called an emergency meeting of the 5 captains, likely in response to Chundomoon's (Heavenly Way School's) joining the weakened alliance in their fight against the SUC.

I had previously dismissed it before, but I now believe that Hyuk So Chun in concert with the Alliance will appear on scene, thus thwarting Elder
Kwon's plans, therefore saving Shioon's life. It kind of adds up to me especially considering the latest story detail we have is that the roads were inexplicably blocked off for traffic in the vicinity of the area that the action is, also the area that the alliance would want insulated from the regular world.

... and Elder Kwon seems to be really losing it O_o. If he doesn't accept Shioon here and Shioon escapes his hand (again), then I expect things to become... Tense in the Sunwoo clan now -_-; .

Ha Il and Sera are obviously too far away, it'll have to be somebody else and like NAM61 said, there was a reason Hyuk was shown earlier.

We don't know how far they are at the moment, they might be closer than we think. I still think there is a possibility they could be the first ones to show up. Reintroducing Hyuk right now would be pretty sweet, so if that happens I wouldn't mind at all. I still want Hyuk and Shioon to become sparring partners at some point but we will see if that ever happens. Loving the story right now though, hopefully the plot continues to move forward with some action mixed in.

Shioon is going to wake up while Kwon and Hyuk or Sera/Ha Il talk and or duke it out. I think Hyuk would be a match for the elder he is a genius, I don't know if lighting heel is better than Hyuk though. I would wager that Hyuk is more skilled than Ha Il

Hyuk so chun seems to me as a detection type. He probably thinks this traffic jam a little unusual then he sees Shioon fighting. Alas Elder Kwon appears and has an killing intent. Enter hyuk So Chun master of the heavenly way school of martial arts. I lean towards him taking Shioon secretly and and kwon has nothing to do with what happens. I like this author the way he plays with the audience with cliff hangers evey week.... I know i am the audience but it seems to me to be a soap opera but waaaayyyyyy better.

I wrote what I personaly would like to see, so here is my prediction:

Elder Kwon: How can some stranger become the head of Shunwoo clan so easily, and not me, who devoted my life to this clan, tell me "kid" (to Shioon) ?!

A fist is made and Elder Kwon goes for the final blow to kill Shioon. At that time all 4 remaining SUC generals land (they jump from the mountain where the tunnel is) next to Elder Kwon and appear right in front of him.

"Bitch": Ara, we were to late ? Let's bury our "nakama" (Glasses guy) next to the one who defeated him (they would think Elder Kwon defeated the Glasses guy).

Elder Kwon: Wait, you are mistaken !!! The one who defeated Glasses guy was Shioon, and not me !!!

Other SUC Generals: Huh, are you telling us this corpse (pointing at Shioon who lies on the ground) who's "ki center" is broken, defeated Glasses guy, that's a joke right ?

Elder Kwon: I watched entire fight, but I myself was impressed !!!

First SUC General ("Bitch") to Second SUC General: Is it "first April" today (a day when you make jokes) ?

Second SUC General: As far as I know, it's not even April.

Third SUC General: This means you (pointing at Elder Kwon) lied, so die !!!

Like this SUC generals would start attacking Elder Kwon !!!

Elder Kwon in his thoughts: Tch... I need smaller place to defeat all 4 of them at once, so I will have to go in the tunnel, and right before the end of the other side, I will destroy the tunnel and all 4 traped in it. After that, I will go kill the current head (Shioon) once and for all !!!

With this Elder Kwon would start retreating in the tunnel, but soon he would unintentionally lend right next to Jinie.

At that time Elder Kwon in his thoughts (!!!): Jinie, so even you have almost died, well whatever...:notrust

Elder Kwon to SUC generals, in order to provoke them and lure them in tunnel: Come little babys, you are no match for me !!!

SUC generals: Old man you are lucky, this time, we will spare you, well you haven't even many days left becouse of your old age, hehehehe !!!

Elder Kwon in his thoughts: Why you...:arro

SUC generals: We are retreating for today, becouse we don't want to get cought by those guys behind you...

Elder Kwon looks backward only to see an Ambulance car along with some other cars rushing towards the tunnel inside of which he is currently standing. After he would look back to where SUC generals were standing, they would be long gone.

The Ambulance driver, that has previously driven Shioon to where Jinie was: Wow, we knew something might happen to 1 or 2 people, but so many are injured so badly, I better hurry.

At that time the driver from elder Kwon arrives and behind him a car in wich So-Chun Hyuk is.

Elder Kwon asks his driver: How did you find us ?

The driver from Elder Kwon: Ah, the driver from the Ambulance somehow tracked Shioon.

So-Chun Hyuk comes to elder Kwon: It's fortunete you were here elder Kwon, why Shioon has a destroyed "ki center" so he wouldn't be able to defeat those guys, why his master GMR was only teaching Shioon for merly 1 month and right after that Shioon's "ki center" was compleatly destroyed by none other than his own master who betrayed him. I witnesed everything and even had a "sparring" match with Shioon before that incident, where Shioon won. I swore myself to someday have a proper match with him, but it looks like this is unlikely to happen.

Elder Kwon all sweating and thinking: WHAAAAAAT (!!!) Shioon won against you...:eek

So-Chun Hyuk: Yah, if only Shioon could do martial arts properly again, i believe he would be a tough opponent to beat, even for me.

Elder Kwon in his mind: :omg

So-Chun Hyuk: Anyway what are you doing here elder Kwon ?

Elder Kwon: Eh, I only came here and saw our clan head, i mean Shioon defeating master class opponent (in confussion he would tell everything, like Jinie in a fight against Yo Ji-Gun..:darn)

The heart from So-Chun Hyuk would start beating fast, while hearing Shioon can still fight... :p

So-Chun Hyuk: Elder Kwon you know what, those SUC bastards are going to participate in next tournament the same as that where GMR presumably got the title of 9 arts. Tell this to Shioon please and persuade him to help me defeat those basterds that I'm chasing for quite a while now.

Elder Kwon: I will see, what I can do.

In the meanwhile the Ambulance driver has first gone towards Shioon, but Shioon would stand up from the ground alone, and tell others to take care of Jinie and Yo Ji-Gun first.

Right before Shioon would go inside the Ambulance himself, he would look at elder Kwon who would at that time also be going towards his own car, and tell him: Oh, elder Kwon, I'm not a "kid", my name is "Yi Shioon" !!!

Elder Kwon would later be thinking in the car: My daughter sacrifaced herself and has given her life to protect the pride of the Shunwoo clan, and even my grandoughter almost died to protect the pride of the Shunwoo clan, but what about me ??? I tried to ruin "it" (the pride of Shunwoo clan itself !!!), by killing the current head (Shioon). To top it all, even if I would kill Shioon, I wouldn't even accomplish anything, why Sasul is still alive somewhere...:fail

About the chapter, nice turn of events. Was not expecting to find that his daughter took a bullet for the clan by leaving. This totaly changes scope of things for the elder and his plans. Too bad that at the moment gramps is so into himself that he can not see the forest for the trees. I'm certain something will happen before gramps kills Shi Woon, the question is who will show up? Monsterguys prediction may-not be far off. :)

My compliment to those who predicted the counter strike with ghost step. It was really fun reading the part when Cool Guy went down. Quite refreshing really. After all that's said and done, looks like Elder doesn't give a jack shit about anyone but the sunwoo clan afterall. It looks like he finally went senile. I will forgive him if he would have a change of heart next chapter.

@Monsterguy your prediction was amusing to read. I honestly wouldn't be surprised at all if So-Chun Hyuk was watching the fight from the opposite side of Elder Kwon, in the trees. Elder Kwon will probably have an emotional breakdown next chapter as the truth slowly seeps in, followed by deep regret.

Bullseye on Shioon using ghost step and expecting the attack! I kinda wanted to see Sosul's dad and Jinie's mom's faces more clearly. It's ironic how the daughters of these two people now like Shioon lol.

While its clear Shioon wouldn't win 1on1 against the guy and would certainly lose in a rematch, his feats here have been most impressive considering his level at the start of Part II and especially in Part I. Right now Shioon is probably only a couple of notches below other elites such as Jinie.

For next chapter I'm predicting the Elder has a last-minute hesitation. Shioon will probably mumble something and it'll make the Elder back off for a while. We'll also probably see some serious Shioon-Sera developments afterwards with Jinie being comatose for a ~week.

On a side note, I wonder how many people in the future insist on Shioon being curbstomped for 99% of the time in his future fights? :lmao


Ha Il and Sera are obviously too far away, it'll have to be somebody else and like NAM61 said, there was a reason Hyuk was shown earlier.

I'm of the impression that Hyuk was shown to demonstrate he still exists. I don't think he'll become active again in the story until its time for the Martial Arts Alliance to learn of Shioon's connection to the Sunwoo Clan.

IMO - Shioon vs Hyuk will probably be the last major fight for Part II. Kangsung has dibs on the SUC's leader.

Ah well, that's certainly a possibility too. If Sickle-Bitch turns up, then she'll probably immediately go for killing Jinie... Which'll force the elder to make a difficult choice: Defend his granddaughter, who he now knows is DEFINTIVELY not to blame (and thus, in extension, also Shioon & Ji-Gun) or let her die... Well, with the turn of the lateast chapter I think it's clear what he'll choose. Either way, it'll drag out on things a bit, which'll hopefully enough provide enough time for Sera & Ha-Il to arrive, anyway. But I guess we'll see what happens only in the next chapter.

That's another possibility that has a realistic shot of happening though the only way she could stop the Elder from doing anything is by talking, if she just jumps in and attacks Kwon then she'll keep his attention for about 2 seconds before she is out like a light faster than you can say Ha-Il.

You should reread the series :p. The S.U.C. (soldiers under command) are made up of people like glasses claiming they are the disciples of Goomoonryong and teaching normal people and probably murim people too, techniques of goomoonryong. However these people are not disciples of Goomoonryong since the only disciple of Goomoonryong is Shioon and their techniques are imitations. That is why Shioon fighting can dissolve the S.U.C. by showing people the real techniques that Goomoonryong uses such as soul crushing strike.

After 'rereading' the fight, it seems that I was wrong. Shi-Woon never used his foot technique. Which only annoys me even more because Master Specs was using foot techniques. Let me lay it out for you guys.

Here (http://www.mangareader.net/the-breaker-new-waves/54/12), Yan Yong-Hyun first uses a foot technique to counter Shi-Woon's attack. And then follows up with a counter attack (http://www.mangareader.net/the-breaker-new-waves/54/13). Shi-Woon can't even do anything more than think in that situation.
The second time he uses a foot technique (http://www.mangareader.net/the-breaker-new-waves/55/2) it's still a direct hit (http://www.mangareader.net/the-breaker-new-waves/55/3). Luckly, it's a normal punch and Shi-Woon lives to fight a few more seconds.
The third time (http://www.mangareader.net/the-breaker-new-waves/55/8) he manages to dodge the attack but Yan Yong-Hyun isn't surprised, if anything, he would have been dissapointed if Shi-Woon couldn't dodge his attacks (http://www.mangareader.net/the-breaker-new-waves/55/10) after seeing them that many times.
Yan Yong-Hyun uses his foot technique one more time (http://www.mangareader.net/the-breaker-new-waves/55/15) on panel, so let's say that makes four times total.

And that's the problem with this picture. Shi-Woon couldn't even dodge until the third time but by the fourth he pulls off a dodge and a counter attack? Not just that but the amount of times he almost while, supposedly, setting up this chess move; it's just unbelievable. Even if you ignore the fact that Yan Yong-Hyun was following Shi-Woon's movements (and more than able to predict his movements (http://www.mangareader.net/the-breaker-new-waves/55/10)), how is it that he, a master, was so surprised that he got hit twice. His leg giving out shouldn't have stopped him from blocking that second attack at the very lest.

Did I mention the fact that Shi-Woon refused to use his foot technique against a guy that could kick a car into motion? Anyway, I'm glad you guys liked it but the chapter was just off to me and looking back didn't help any.

Well, the Glasses' weakness was arrogance. He thought he had Shioon all figured out and Shioon used that. That was the first time in the fight where Shioon used a feint to make it look like he was doing one thing but actually doing something else entirely. He made a motion like he was expecting Glasses from the left (the pattern Glasses used earlier in the fight and was trying deceive Shioon into thinking he was going to use again). That motion with the fist was a feint so that Glasses would think his foot tech succeeded in outwitting Shioon but Shioon saw through it this time and was ready to use the ghost step at the right time. It is not that he had time to react, it is just that he planned to use the foot tech ahead of time.

Glasses, due to his arrogance, didn't think Shioon was capable of more than he had already seen and that was his downfall. Once his leg gave out and Shioon got him with a full powered inner fist strike right in the vital spot it was over, at that point Glasses couldn't move and therefore couldn't avoid the follow up punch. Not sure what is so illogical about this sequence of events and that's coming from somebody who absolutely hates arse pulls and contradictions in anything I read.

I don't think the elder will finish him. Shioon's will be acknowledged and its quite possible that Shioon will be trained by the elder. Overall, its one of the best battle Shioon fought. He was thinking and adapting.
