They animated the RM perfectly. The colors are bright and he really looks like a Super Saiyan. :D The rest of the episode was okay. We're in for a one-hour Minato flashback next time.

I must say, that even tho this kind of animation isnt the greatest... Chakra mode was well animated and made Naruto look more badass that i would have thought....


Episode was 'alright'.... but what makes me really happy is the quality animation of the next double episode..... just glad the fight will be well animated. Just hope they don't add some Naruto vs Pain 'filler' moves that could potentially ruin Minato's fight.

Man, that song when Naruto was being a boss just takes epicness away imo. I did not get the holy-crap-on-a-cracker feeling like in the manga at all thanks to that song, just like when Naruto owned Pain. For all I care they use Rising Fighting Spirit from part 1, but that song just destroys epic moments :(

Other than that, awesome episode, nice looks of the new chakra mode!

is it me or they changed the dubber for Minato? Because he sounded different in Kakashi Gaiden (way better IMO)

He doesn't sound dumb, imo. People tend to talk differently with different people, intonation of voice changes with emotional association. It would make no sense for him to sound like a badass when he is talking to his wife.

Good end to the fight, the effects were pretty well done, especially the last Rasen Shuriken and the kyuubi's rage at having its chakra taken.

Every time I see how nice Sasuke's mom was I can't forget Itachi murdering her...

On another note, I loved the addition of Bee getting all serious, telling Yamato to "shut up" as there was nothing else they could do for Naruto right now.:hip

Ok.
Hong Rong, made one of the worst (if not the worst) episode of Pain's Arc. After watching this episode, I think he is significantly approaching towards redemption. This was (very ?) good episode. But coming from him, maybe it's a great episode. There were some awkward moments with Naruto (and music) but overall it was solid. The lack of animation helped too. I guess he learned from his past mistakes, keep the good job, man, there is hope after all.

I wonder if they'll be using the same computer generated effect of Rikudo mode in the future? I wonder how it looks during an action part.
The parts of chakra that keeps slipping from Rikudo mode is drawn, the red glow is computer. Didn't have time to rewind an have a close look but I think that's right. Good bye for tonight.

Yeah that song sucks so hard and doesnt fit into shippuuden at all. Anytime they use it, it takes a little away from the scene.
Also its always the bad animators that use that song, the good animators know better and use the good songs.
The scene was great anyways but a better song would have made it even more epic just like you said.

The episode was good and somewhat ceepy, especially in the end.
I liked the part, when Naruto trashed Kurama with Odama Rasengan Barrage.:)) Kurama's face was priceless.:)
Also I liked Minato's face, when he learnt that he will be a father))) Was really funny, but it always happens like this with fathers))

And of course the moment with Tobi entering the scene was really creepy. Next episodes should also be great.
