View Full Version : Theory The Case For Killua vs Hisoka or Gon vs Illumi

Ok so a lotta fans are expecting a rematch between Gon and Hisoka.

However I'm not.

Yes, Hisoka is interested in Gon but Gon really doesn't have any beef with Hisoka.

"You're kidding, right?"

No, I'm not. Gon settled his beef with Hisoka when he punched him in the face.
Since Hisoka isn't a true member of the Phantom Troupe that wouldn't really
cause Gon to want to fight him either. Hisoka may be a psycho killer but
it doesn't seem like Gon cares that much about that either. Of course
I don't think he and Hisoka would ever be friends I think Gon has lost
interest in Hisoka.

On the other hand, Hisoka is interested in Gon. But who he's REALLY interested in?

Killua

When Netero asked who Hisoka wanted to fight his answer was #99...Killua.
Hisoka saw Killua having more potential. Interesting thing to note since later
Netero implies in his final tournament chart that Gon has more potential.

There have also been a few hints towards Kilua vs Hisoka.
One such example is how when in the first exam Killua
tells Gon that he and Hisoka are the same. I think
he says they have the same scent or whatever but I'm not sure.

Then there's Hisoka's comment about how those with Transmutation Nen
are "whimsical liars". Killua is also a Transmutation Nen user.
Hisoka also mentions how Transmuters quickly lose interest.
Has Hisoka lost interest in Gon or will he?

Also notice how both Killua and Hisoka actually wanted to fight and kill Chairman Netero?
Killua wanted to because he really wanted to win the game he was playing.
Hisoka wanted to because he's always looking for a good fight. Now Killua may
sound like a sore loser but I think it's more than that. I think while Killua
just wants to be friends with Gon there's another side of himself that
wants to prove he's better than his opponent. Like Illumi says Killua asks
himself "Can I kill him or not?"

Also this is just my opinion...but I think Killua's electricity could be the counter
to Hisoka's bungee gum. I don't think Hisoka will be able to get his gum to
stick to Killua so easily since the electricity would quite possibly fry it off.

Then there's Hisoka "joke" that he would kill Killua. Yes it was to force Illumi
to reveal his location but I think Hisoka was actually serious.
Hisoka wants to fight Killua.

Also when Killua compares fighters he compares himself, Gon, Hanzo and Hisoka.
Hisoka is the strongest followed by Hanzo, Killua and then Gon. But Killua
says he's being modest and was talking about when he was in "normal" mode.
Why didn't Killua include Illumi in that list? Does he see Hisoka as the real challenge?
Hanzo is on the list but he seems to be more of a frame of reference for Gon to get.
During the final exam Killua was not impressed with Hanzo's bragging.

Another example is how when Gon and Killua were captured by the spiders
both Killua and Hisoka knew that they should avoid making it known that
they know each other.

Well that's all I can think of for that one.

How about Gon vs Illumi?

Illumi told Killua that he was going to kill Gon. He said he was joking. But was he really?

Also Illumi was thinking about getting rid of Gon until Hisoka warned him Gon is off limits.

Then there's Gon breaking Illumi's wrist. Illumi didn't seem to care but moved his
hands towards Gon as if he was about to fight him or something.

Gon said he won't forgive Illumi for making Killua a killer. Will they fight?

However it is very possible that the end game may actually be...

Hisoka vs Illumi.

Hisoka already said his thought pretty well right here:

He's basically thinking of how he could get more fun by killing the most people.
In that case above, the relation was Alluka --- Killua --- Illumi
But you can definitely see the same thing happening with Gon --- Killua ---- Illumi

Since, I think he wants to fight everyone of them, I think his thought process will end up like this:

1. Kill Gon (That will piss off Killua)
2. Kill Killua (That will piss of Illumi)
3. Kill Illumi

So, I think his first target will be Gon.
But he's so impatient, that he might jump right to Killua as well, so it's hard to predict.

And yeah... I'm pretty sure we will eventually see Hisoka vs Illumi.

Well, killing Killua first will allow him to have Gon and Illumi fighting against him and giving him a harder time and a more entertainment case. The only thing that doesn't come in handy will be killing Illumi first.

And it's actually the opposite of what you say: Hisoka said that his ability has the properties of the gum...That means it will repel quite well all the electricity. He's the perfect opponent for Killua in that sense.

I don't see why Hisoka couldn't first kill Killua. Which would most certainly piss off Gon.

Then he have TWO opponents who want him dead.

Anywho I'd actually much rather see Killua vs Hisoka and Gon vs Illumi

Yeah I was thinking that.

Good point. That makes it even better. I still think Hisoka won't be able to attach his bungee gum however if it also makes him impervious to electricity...

Damn is that gonna be a good fight.

Actually I'm more interested in a future Pariston vs Gon.
