So as I predicted before, Vindice and that strange Arcobaleno with a transparent pacifier finnaly join the fight.
And Hibari loosing his watch was expected. Xanxus is a beast.:)

I knew that this pacifier battle wouldn't go without that mystery baby we met in the last arc showing up.

Just sucks that Skull's team had to be taken out like a bunch of chumps...

I was kinda hoping that they would show that they could handle their own just as well as Tsuna's team, since their families started together and everything.

It didn't say that the Vindice broke their watches... just kicked the lively sheez outta them.

So maybe the Skull team is still in the game?

Hope Skull team is not in the game anymore.
They are a waste of time and space,and thanks to Shimon arc Reborn reached epic low ratings.
It's better to erase them quickly without some boring Tsuna vs Enma rematch.

Chapter seems great,Hibari is out and that is an unexpected yet lovely surprise.

I am one of those fans that really loves the Shimon Family. I think that my siggy should show that.

I know that some in the fandom are not Shimon fans but I rather think that if they are given something really great to do then I think that the Shimon family will get much more attention. I know that Enma and Cozart already are very much loved by the fandom.

It is was not the Shimon family that caused the ranking to be lower at times. I just think that the last arc was a bit more serious in places. I think that the Reborn! fans were worried about the Vongola family a lot. I know that the Yamamoto fans were worried.

I am hoping that the Shimon family will not be completely out. It is rather creepy that it is the Vindice that has taken them down considering that they all almost ended up in Vindice.

The previus arc is so recent,to see them fight again is a waste...we didn't see fighting during this new arc Kykio,Blubell,Squalo,Bel,Levi,Lussuria,Byakuran(and even Hibari,since we see very little),and you think Amano would devote herself to draw fighting scenes with Shimon?
To erase them all in one pannel is the right choice in my opinion.

Kinda cheap, but it's okay as tirsamisu mentioned, they've already had their big time just last arc, not need for much more unless there is a change of power. But that they would lose that easily... Vendice should be the strongest mafia, if it was that easy to take down the Shimon threat. I'm waiting for a Vendice x Mokuro x Vongola free for all. :D

I believe that Amano will at some point have the Shimon family fight. I mean if she truly did not intend for them to ever do anything else then she would have left them in Vindice for good. She has also not shown what the last Earth flame is and Julie and Kaoru have not had a fight yet.

If the Shimon family lost all their watches to the Vindice then they are out of this fight. In that case the Shimon family will not have to fight the Vongola family which would not be good because the two families can not fight each other again. If not then the ones still have their watches will fight later. If Hibari lost his watch then it means that more than likely the Shimon family is still in the fight because of Uni's vision.

I do not believe that the Shimon family is a useless family in this story. They are so far the only family to have Earth flames. Tsuna and Enma are considered a fighting team and their rings can fuse together. Cozart is the one who gave Giotto the idea in the beginning to form the Vongola family.

I will not go any further with this but to say that I happen to like the Shimon family. I can understand if some do not but I don't intend for this to become a long issue so lets just all leave it at that. Alright!

I also really want to see Reborn! get back as an anime. I can say that before anything to do with the Arcobaleno comes into play the Shimon family arc will come before it. I feel that if the fans got to see the Shimon family in color and animated then they will get a lot more fans especially Enma and Cozart.

Future Tsuna wasn't dead in the Future Arc. IIRC Tsuna drank some sort of potion that made him seem dead.

He didn't lose it he broke it himself and I expected that to happen actually because finally Reborn can convince him to join Team Reborn. Now this is a good feud between and thing starting to get more interesting; Not only does Hibari need to get revenge on Mukuro but now also has feud with Xanxus ^_^. I knew the Clear Pacifier is going to take part in this a Long Long Long time ago.

Ok there is something I'm not sure about here. So the Vindice come and take out the Shimon before the time runs out or after? It looks like after the time runs out in the Chinese scan. I just want to know why they decided to pull something like this if they could have done it when the time started? And why the Shimon first? I am looking forward to the next chapter.

Shimon has their watches with them and it seems the attack was out of time. Basil was speaking with Shimon (or at least watching them) after speaking with Iemitsu; who had finished his battle against Tsuna.

Wow nice i can't wait to see the scanlated chapter.
So the Arcobaleno with the transparent pacifier is also part of the battle representative , hmm i feel kinda bad for Shimon , being taken out just like that :darn .
Hmm with Vindice in the picture i think things will get even more interesting , hmm i think pretty soon i'll thank Iemitsu for being so harsh on Tsuna :^_^ . This is good training considering the monsters he's about to face :darn

Oh btw i guess i was right when i said that maybe Yuni's prediction may not be right . Well i personally thought there won't be 2 teams eliminated but just one .In the end it results 3 teams are out in a strike lol totally didn't expected that though we're taking about Hibari here so i shouldn't be surprised by him doing such a stupid thing as to break his own watch -_-;

Technically Yuni prediction came true actually she predicted that 2 team will be eliminated which was herself and Team Skull and Hibari didn't really count because the timer was already up so he was not really eliminated but breaks it himself; also I think Vindice actually did defeat Team Shimon or rather going to break that watch probably next chapter; remember guys the timer is different and don't start the same time.

No, they didn't? Enma fought the Varia for 10 minutes. They're here because they live in Namimori and they're an Allied family of the Vongola as well as friends with Tsuna and his Guardians. If anything, their role in Reborn will be similar to the Varia; probably even more since they're the same age as the 10th family. Also, the Shimon Arc wasn't the reason behind low rankings, it was the length of the Future Arc that put off some readers. I for one, loved the Inheritance Arc because of the awesome fights.

LOL, Hibari broke his own watch just to continue fighting? XDDD That is so like him. And I loved how all the other Varia members piled on XX to stop him from fighting, too. Ah, but now will we ever find out what Fon promised Hibari if they won? And poor Fon. ;A; He has no chance of changing back into his original form.

I don't hate the Shimon family, but personally, I'm glad they were taken out because they were boring--pretty much each of them was created simply to be a counterpart to each of the Vongola guardians... But this is an interesting development; I wonder if the transparent-pacifier Vindice baby is also fighting to get turned back into an adult?

I think this arc is much more than a simple "the one who wins will be turn back as an adult and the others not",obviusly the real enemy is checkerface,and probably there will be a trick(for example the baby turn normal while the one who has the boss watch is turned into a baby replacing the arcobaleno).
I'm quite sure that all of them be be turned back into adult (maybe not this arc but somehow soon)

I'm starting to think the Shimon were created for two purposes: to partake in the this tournament (who else could be Skull's candidates) and to
upgrade the Vongola's weapons (which could have also been a reason for the lower rates. Personally, I hate the VG). I actually wouldn't be surprised if after this arc, they end up going back to Italy or Shimon middle school or whatever. I agree that although they may not be horrible characters, they are quite boring. Enma's just another Tsuna with red hair (and we already have a cute red head XD).

I honestly have to admit, I did not see Hibari breaking his own watch coming. It was a very plesant surprise and fits his character perfectly. I applaud Amano for this. (and rofl at Fon and Dino's faces when it happened XDD). I wonder if this will ruin whatever Reborn had in mind, or perhaps he was planning something like this all along to get Hibari on his team (again, wouldn't be surprised). The Vindice coming was expected by most people, I do wanna know just how the heck the clear pacifier had gotten under the rest of the Arcobalenos' radars. I hope we learn more about them next chapter. Yuni did say two teams would be eliminated, but she probably meant defeated. If the Shimon are out (I called Basil being with them btw ^_^), Hibari's doesn't count as a defeat.

About the anime, I can't confirm any reasons why they don't continue. Maybe it's the low ratings, maybe not (I actually agree that the animation may make it more popular). However, there is no way the Shimon can be like Longchamp and completely ignored. That should be obvious.

Actually, it was a sleeping bullet. And everyone, but Shoichi and Hibari, including the readers, thought he was dead and that's what counts.

It's funny, there are arguments as to why the ranking was so low, most people are blaming the shimon family. Now, I don't blamed them for doing that, it was fairly a frustrating arc..Only for the obvious two reasons in my personal opinion, number one: the underlying purpose of the arc and the characters (shimon family) true intention were not displayed on time..
Number two: the most obvious reason of all, lack of character development on both sides(vongola and shimon)..Now, maybe because the arc was short, that's why we didn't have enough time to ventured into the shimon's character background. They mostly wined about how they hated vongola blahablahablab... I know some people will say they were the protagonist, but only for a short amount of time and the doesn't make a reason not to know more than formal information. I can only say the best character development for me was gokudera, even though his fight was the worst but still had a moderate development.. Then the arc proceed to more of up grade or power boost, than actual story connection...
Beyond all of that , I could have found some interest in them, I didn't perceived or see interesting characteristics in them.I don't hate them, yet merely boring characters and it's they are unorthodox to most people.

Anyway, back on topic: I knew both teams would be eliminated, of course that was obvious but I didn't think it would be fon and viper's team at the beginning. Now, three teams are left;reborn, colonnello, and verde.. I think the hardest team to take out will be verde, but who know, I can't count lal mirch and colonnello out so early...
Oh please...you haven't even watched the new chapter,Viper team is NOT out,the remaining team are Viper,Reborn,Colonnello,Verde,rewatch the chapter you missed lots of things it seems.

They are boring,and being boring is enough to be a waste of space .
BTW,i think the next chapter we will have some Shimon,at least we will see if their watch has been broken .

This makes sense, Bermuda Von vitchenstein IS an arcobaleno and probably chose the vindice to be his representatives so they beat the shit out of the shimon family.

Some Shimon fanboy is arassing me because he can't understand how people can dislike Shimon.

Since he can't understand and i'm repeating it here,i'm GLAD that Hibari is out(he keeps calling me Hibari fangirl when Hibari is one of the character i dislike the most),this chapter is GOLD,it got eliminated both Hibari(one of the most overrated character ever) and Shimon (i already wrote what i think of them).

it looks like adele watch is intact i dont think the vindicare got their watches yet, if so that makes for a great story line, fact that uni prediction are right, she has not been wrong hibari and yuni team are out shinom watches are not destroyed they just got owned or pwoned, this makes more sense. shinom should be able to redeam them self to be not just pawn that deamon spade can use they have to be a legit family being a brother branch of the vongola, it works coz hibari did not lose in game so mean that he can play for reborn's team, plus i think he saw what to expect from fon and he wanted to fight reborn more than him because he aim for the best hitman. vongola gets their guardian back, i have a feeling same will happen to mukuro, but it will be towards chormes issues and will have the last slot for mukuro/chrome but i think that the twist will be dino will fight hibari out side of the game and sub lambo for his spot to add a sneak attack that nobody will guess a baby to be the lead attacker that you cant touch coz his watch will be in the helm that pretty much untouchable unless you want to be extra crispy

This was a good chapter. I was surprised and kinda mad at Hibari for destroying his watch, but oh well. Fon used all of his time up anyway. The middle of the chapter was mostly updating us on Reborn's gang which is alright. As for the Shimon, I too am glad that their watches didn't get destroyed as they are one of favorites as well. Though I'm starting to get a little peeved that they've become the punching bag of everyone else when they are about the same strength as the Vongola. And it's kinda cool that the Vindice showed up, maybe we'll get some Kawahira action as well.

Ok, so it looks like the Shimon watches are still intact. New Theory! Maybe Bermuda is not part of the representative battle b/c either a) Checkerface didn't know about him or B) he couldn't find him. They said they were interested in the battle, well it's obvious they all would be, so why point that out? If they didn't destroy the watches, maybe they plan to steal them? But then, they are made specically fir Skull's team I think, but they may not know that.

Regardless, well, now I know the real reason Reborn didn't tell Tsuna who he was: he wanted him to talk about how cool he was without being biased, lol.

So it looks like Vindice might be Big Baddies of this Arc, but it may also happen that the actual Big Baddie would be the guy who invented the Curse of Arcobaleno.
Still Vindice are really damn powerful. Even though they made a surprise attack, but still they managed to utterly destroy Shimon family, even though they damn strong guys.
So the upcoming Arc becomes more and more interesting as it goes. So now I believe Tsuna's family will have to develop their flames in order to fight Vindice. They even might get some form of Black Flame. Maybe combination of their respective flame with black flame.:)

do you realize that fon used his present too long?? maximum duration of present is only 3 minutes while fon used his present on the beginning of the match and lasted until last minutes of the match. the match itself was in 30 minutes.

Well, we actually don't know when exactly Fon used his present. But after he uses it up, there's still a lot that happens. Dino comes and explains some stuff, and then there's Xanxus attack which has to charge and the aftermath of the attack.

Simon Family's new ability - get wiped out in three pages!

Just had to be said.

Anyways, an amicable end to a bunch of fights. Probably the boss watches will get destroyed and leave a battle of all the other teams versus the Vindice Arcobaleno. Hopefully we will see some more character growth from Xanxus, Tsuna, Dino and Hibari.

If the story had only interesting characters, competence, and perfect? What kind of story would it be? I'm sure I wouldn't read it, they don't have to be interesting, they just don't serve a purpose. ALL characters aren't suppose to be uniquely different, there are going to be boring characters, regardless, in every story...just like life.

Prediction: Vongola to the rescue! But yeah, Checkerface probably might suspend Skull's representatives right now. After all, they were defenseless and attacked by a third-party. Unless! Checkerface was with the Vindice and they want to get rid of all the arcobaleno one by one in order of weakest to strongest. Maybe the clear pacifier will absorb other's pacifier's flame?

Haha, characcter development and growth for the other characters besides Tsuna (and maybe the arcobalenos)? I see more details being revealed or pointless fights before that happens. :P

If the story had only interesting characters, competence, and perfect? What kind of story would it be? I'm sure I wouldn't read it, they don't have to be interesting, they just don't serve a purpose. I would read a story with interesting characters and an interesting and perfect plot .
It's not the first time Amano erases characters that aren't that popular,so what i'm saying is not that strange.
Have you ever thought why Longchamps,Shamal,Lancia(and probably others will follow them)never appeared in the manga again?
Or why characters like Ryohei(i like him,i'm just stating a fact) never have that much of pannel time even if they are protagonists(in name only)?
You can tell Amano that is perfecty fine to keep in her manga boring uninteresting characters nobody care about but i doubt a mangaka reason that way,since they want to sell their manga.
Talking about serving a purpose,i can agree,but we can say Shimon already served their purpose.
Sorry,but i don't understand what are you criticizing about my post...i dislike Shimon like you dislike other characters,to tell me they can serve a purpose i know it already,and i know Amano, after they serve that purpose, if they aren't that popular they go straight to the limbo.

I know that you do not like the Shimon family. I truly wish that you and the others who don't would be a bit more open minded about them. I mean we have yet to learn more about them. They may yet surprise everyone.

I did not see the Shimon family's watches broken. If their watches have not been broken then they still have a chance to fight. I feel that the Shimon family when they get a chance will show that they have a lot of power. The Shimon family rings were not completely awakened when each one of them faced off with the Vongola family members. The last Earth Flame has not been named let a lone shown. The Desert Flame has not been shown as to how it works as opposed to the Mist Flames. It is pointless for the Earth Flames to be created if Amano did not want to use the only family that has them at this time. I feel that the Shimon family will fight some time in the future. Amano must know how popular Enma is to the fandom. If you don't believe that Enma is popular look fan art of him and fan fiction. I am sure that Amano will bring the other Shimon family members around.

I mean look at what happened with Mukuro, the Varia, and the Millefiore family. Mukuro went from being a nearly completely bad guy to a Vongola Guardian. The Varia went from being a group that would take the Vongola Rings from Tsuna and his Guardians to very trusted allies in the future and in the current present. The Millefiore family has also undergone a change too. Byakuran has become a person who would honor Uni's wish and protect Tsuna. I see potential for the Shimon family in light of what Amano has done with the other groups that went against the Vongola family.

I am also not counting out Shamal coming back. He has a fan following still. It would be interesting if he came back to help take care of the Shimon family and Byakuran. I mean lets face it Shamal would want to take care of Shiitt P. and of course Adelheid. :^_^

Lancia could come back too. He also still has a loyal following. Mukuro needs more fighters right now. He lost M.M., Ken, Chikusa, and Fran might be very sick. He may turn to Lancia to fight with him again.

Longchamp is about the only one that really does not have much hope of continuing at this time. However Amano could pull it out that he is working with Checker Face. That would be neat.

I am not ruling out that Ryohei will have part to play in the Arcobaleno arc. I believe that he might be better to be out of the fight . It might help to have a Guardian on the outside. He is also a healer which might come in handy.

I also want to say that if Amano was completely concerned with keeping a popular character at the for front then Hibari would have a even bigger part than he has now. I mean Hibari broke his own watch. He may be completely out of the fight now.

I say that the best course of action is to keep an open mind in regards to this arc because I have a feeling that anything can happen. I also feel that those who may not seem important may become important. I mean now we have the Vindice in the fight which changes everything.

I liked the chapter . It was very funny seeing Varia trying to stop Xanxus from breaking his boss watch lol that was truly hilarious .
Can't believe Xanxus would give up his chance for a rematch with Tsuna whom he hates greatly , guess that means Hibari's on his "to kill list" starting now :derp

But the most exciting part of the chapter gotta be the Vindice's appearance . They are truly monsters (do i see Jullie getting stabbed here (http://www.mangafox.com/manga/katekyo_hitman_reborn/v32/c375/14.html) :s ) Please don't kill the guys dammit after all they are pretty interesting and it's a shame to see them out yet IMO.

I personally like the Shimon family . I would like to see them more in the future as allies to the Vongola and especially to Tsuna . :D We still don't know much about every Shimon guardian , that's why it would suck to not have them around anymore .

I loved the chapter. The Varia moment was hilarious, and so was the whole multitude of Dino's expressions. The arrival of the Vindice wasn't really surprising because I can't imagine their Arcobaleno being overjoyed about being an Arcobaleno. But I was very glad to see them join in. I don't mind Hibari getting excluded from the conflict because 1) him breaking his watch was believable and in-character and 2) I doubt Amano will follow through with the representative scenario - at least not until the end. I suppose there'll be a twist and maybe the whole lot of them will eventually face off against Checkerface or learn something completely new and interesting. I'm quite sure Hibari and Byakuran and others will be back lol.

As for the Shimon question, well, the other groups that were mentioned - Varia, Mukuro's gang, Millefiore - were never a copy of Tsuna and his Guardians. Tsuna, Mukuro, Xanxus and Byakuran do not resemble each other in any way and their motivation was different, Yamamoto and Squalo only have sword fighting in common, Kikyo and Hibari are nothing alike, and so on. However, Enma is exactly like Tsuna, only worse, because we already have Tsuna and love/put up with him. The others are the same. Adelheid is the female version of Hibari... only Shitt P was vaguely interesting, since she was so very weird. To sum it up, no one needs a copy when the original is available. It's boring. Of course, if Amano finds a purpose for them, I'll like them better. But not yet, anyway :D

I'm confused by a lot of things happening. I thought that checkerface was the Arcobaleno with the Clear Pacifier. Look back at this. This is when Checkerface meets with Reborn. (http://www.mangafox.com/manga/katekyo_hitman_reborn/v32/c350/7.html)

Wouldn't that mean that Checkerface was the Vindice's Arcobaleno? Reborn even gets frustrated about that pacifier, asking why they have it. (http://www.mangafox.com/manga/katekyo_hitman_reborn/v31/c333/15.html)

But they don't tell him. I figured Checkerface's mask was just a play on the Vindice's bandages. But now, the baby's shown up with the Vindice. Unless Checkerface is trying to jump in there as well, to make things interesting, I can't understand what's going on. Was the Pacifier clear because it hadn't found its proper host yet? Or was that just the random one that he tossed in the sky that he ultimately gave to a Vindice member? But if that's the case, why didn't he show up at the beginning? He wasn't a part of any of the initial beginnings of our favorite babies. There were always just seven, until Colonello jumped in. Even if he was with the Vindice, he would have been a part of everything. The Arcobaleno are a force outside the mafia, even if they align themselves with certain families. Amano is so good at giving us just enough to make 1000 more questions for the 1 question that's answered.
