True it was kind of embarrassing, but it shouldn't have been too unexpected either given both the difference in skill and Shioon's current state. Besides there may have been a little bit of a redeeming factor despite the situation with Shioon's spirit showing through even in that predicament. He probably explicitly stated that he was ready to forfeit his life rather than being a hostage for the clan.

There is one thing I have to note, Shioon has got to be sick and tired of being taken as a hostage in that way. Someone grabbing and squeezing his neck from the back should make him want to learn or devise a counter to avoid ever being in that very position again.

I like the fact that Gyu-Bum went for him. I also like the swipe that Shioon took at SF. But the fact that he was captive. Does anyone in this forum have doubts that Shioon could recover from a broken neck? I don't not one bit. Shoot in all the time that it took Gyu-Bum andShioon to attack SF. I think that would of given Kwon enough time. But that is neither here nor there because the author wanted it top layout this way.

I want to know to what purpose is all of this training Shioon is doing? Without a ki center he can never fight against true Murim. He has been told by everyone that his ki center is shattered and there is no hope of recovery. The genius doctor and down. I think Elder Kwon sent him to the hospital for the "tests" to get him off of his back.

Therefore from a strictly analytical stand point. Our favorite drugged up protagonist is going to keep popping the pills until something gives.

This chapter though disappointing in its let down of Shioons capture. This also is the only reading material I will get this week because of golden week. So highlights

Well I wasn't expecting too much out of Shioon to begin with, considering the limited amount of time hes had to train. Actually, that part pretty much met my expectations.

If theres one good thing about the situation, its that the shame from getting held hostage like that will help him set aside his doubts about his master for now and focus on training again.

It is frustrating, but at this point its not his fault. He doesn't have the use of his ki-center and hes only been training for 3 days. That screw-up was completely on Gyu-bum. What the hell was with the whole dramatic pause after he misses anyway?

he only learn 2 skills fromn GMR and to use those skills Shioon must be a pulp first so that the enemies will think that he is weak and lose their guard hahahaha that is the strategy that GMR give to Shioon

Yay GyuBum whooooo~.

Smugface senses GyuBum about to attack him, and expresses shock that there's another monster in the SunWoo clan besides Kwon. He barely avoids, but doesn't change his objective, since getting ShiWoon is his only chance at life. He's surprised when ShiWoon tries to counterattack, but manages to avoid it and catch him. He says he'll kill ShiWoon if the SunWoo try anything.

Mamungi of course isn't very happy with this turn of events, and tells Smugface so, but Smugface says it's the only way to get out of this alive. He tries to tell Kwon that this isn't the intent of the alliance (in other words, Smugface is acting on his own violation, which is pretty much the truth) but Kwon's not someone you want to be talking to at the moment.

ShiWoon, on the other hand, has had enough of Smugface's bullshit and tells everyone to get the fucker instead of worrying about him. He tells Smugface that he's not going to submit, so Smugface decides to teach him the pain of death. Mamungi decides he's gotta do something to stop this, but then Kwon says he'll let Smugface and the rest leave as long as they let ShiWoon go and never appear in front of him again. If they don't, well...

"I'll obliterate not just you but the entire alliance."

So things get resolved. Mamungi tries to apologize to ShiWoon but ShiWoon just ignores him.

In the car, an Alliance mook asks Smugface why he took ShiWoon captive. What results in a brilliant exchange of logical thoughts by which I mean it's pathetic and shows you why you should never have Smugface in your debate team.

Q: Why did you take the clan head captive?
A: Because that was the only way to get away.

Q: But none of this would have happened if you hadn't gone barging into the SunWoo clan like a fucking fool, right?
A: RAGEQUIT CAN'T YOU SEE THE SUNWOO CLAN IS LOOKING DOWN ON YOU GRAAAAAAAAAAAAR FUCK Y'ALL I'M GETTING OUT OF THE CAR BECAUSE I'M A RAGEQUITTING PUSSY WHO CAN'T WIN IN A FIGHT OR AN ARGUMENT.

But no seriously Smugface's argument is hella weak. His excuse is basically this: "The alliance asked ChunDoMoon for help and then have the balls to say we're at fault?"

OF COURSE YOU'RE AT FAULT YOU STUPID FUCKER WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK MAN.

Of course, ragequitting out of the car seems to be an excuse to hide the fact that he's taken a ton of damage from Kwon.

Then the phone call comes, and it turns out that Smugface's plan was to drive a rift between the Alliance and the SunWoo clan, and he tells the Mysterious Masked Mustache to ensure that the two will never be able to team up ever again. Which probably worked I'll give him props for that even though he's a shitty debater seriously I failed my Logic 101 and even I have a better grasp of it than he does.

I hope Jeong-Cheon's plan won't succeed, at elast not to any greater extent - because, as I see it,t he plan is fairly see-through - it's hard to think that Kwon/The Sunwoo clan wouldn't figure out that Jeong-Cheon is from Chundommon, or that, say, Mamungi & the others who came with Jeong-Cheon won't tell Kangung about what happened, making them a bit suspicious towards Jeong-Cheon & his bunch... Shioon has always been kind of a weak character. One of the funniest parts of part 1 or 2 is when he tried to commit suicide. And from my knowledge he has been trying to play catch up since Shiho fed him that pill/egg.

This chapter was a little deflating. The comments about Shioon ALWAYS being the damsel in distress isn't true. The MAA chief tried to capture Shioon to use him as a chess piece to capture Chun Woo. But Shioon just ran away. Now with that said the number of chapters where Shioon was running and the dumb MAA guy trying to get GMR was 20+. Then in the end we get the neck clench that caused Shioon to be in this state of no ki center.
But from my tally Shioon was only held captive as a bargaining chip twice. He was zombie mode Shioon twice.

I like the fact that Shioon didn't want to give in. His fighting spirit was there. If he knew this was Chundomoon he would of struggled more. But what is the purpose of Shioon being captured?

69 chapters in and Shiwoon is still a lame duck, the original the breaker is like a million times better then this

The chapter was ok.
It was to be expected that Shiwoon can't do anything against smirk face. There wasn't any hints that he used the pills and without them he can't use any techniques. At least he wasn't a crybaby and tried to fight back and showed some spirit. I'm fine with that.
But I expexted from Gyu-Bum Yi a little more. After an attack doesn' t work you have to try again and not just stare at the enemy like the rest. This was very disappointing.

I have a feeling that next week we gonna see the doctor. Shiwoon really needs the fix ki center. Even with a fixed ki center Shiwoon has a long way to go. At least one month of intense training otherwise it would be implausible when he wins against real masters. The best thing would be a timeskip, maybe between part 2 and 3.

A theorie about the master levels:

Therea several master levels
1. Class: Fresh Master like Cool Guys, Ha-Ill Gang or Ji-Gun Yoo
1.5 Class: 4 Supernovas
2. Class: Higher ranked members of a clan like elders
2.5 Class: genuis like So-Chun Hyuk or smirk face
3. Class: 10 Grandmaster. Most of them should be the clan heads inclusive Elder Kwon and 9arts (not officially listed)

From what Ji-Gun Yoo said in chapter 57 it can be presumed that the gap between the classes are big, especially to the Grandmasters.
Right now i think Shiwoon is between 1 and 1.5 and only with a fixed ki center and when he totally focused on the fight and not behave like a kid with a dangerous sowrd.

Yes sir, He was taught by a master who can hit opponents properly. But our hero is different, he can only land a hit on murims who are are in total shock, caught off guard or those who fell inlove with him.

As we see, Trollface is on capturing mode if he's on attack then it will lower his guard. Shion should have just dodge first, evade another incomming grope, observe, show nipples, then use "hweh" before throwing the random punch to the moon like he always do to win a match against a master class.

So Smug Face stood no chance against Kwon. Does that mean that Moustache dude is stronger than Smug Face? I mean he did counter a fatal move from Kwon even if he was hurt afterwards while Smug Face was getting hit over and over. Man, this is just confusing. The thing is while this is disappointing and we all had high hopes for Shioon. The fact still remains, we never saw Shioon take a pill. Smug face is at least partially on par with Hyuk. With no ki use on par with Hyuk So Chun what can Shioon or any of us do? Nothing! But GMR taught him even if the opponent is stronger to not just give up. Or something like that. Shioon was bullied all of his life and now he is in ths crazy Murim world. He has been Murim for what maybe close to 6 months? I can't quite put the timeline together in my head right now.

Let's see years and years of bullying and giving in to the bully and NOT THROWING THE PUNCH TO FIGHT BACK. This is exactly what GMR told Shioon to do. What I find funny is right after Shioon took the Illwallsindan, he was going to try and hit Chang-ho. GMR told him his hand would of exploded. Shioon was like yeah right. GMR told to hit the wall to see if he was lying, Shioon sat here and thinks about it. Anyway off target. Throwing the punch and fighting back is what GMR taught Shioon to do. But against anybody above the 1.5 level explained above he is like a little baby to us easy to squish but you don't because babies are cute. Except Murim are ruthless and and kill without a second thought. Shioon is out of his league and everyone of us got our hopes up that Shioon could do something with no evidence of to really support it.

I don't get why everyone is bashing the breaker after this chapter, yeah Shioon got captured but it was clear that was one of the most likely outcomes. At least he threw a punch at the guy, I think part 2 still has a long way to go before it's over. Once Shioon is able to use ki again everyone on here is going to be creaming in their pants including me. This will be another driving force for Shioon to get more powerful and doing 2x training in the night and day.

Personally I think Mamungi is going to start playing a bigger role. Since the Sunwoo clan is separate from the alliance Mamungi seems to be the only reliable inside source for Shioon. Since we know he owes Shioon from back in part one and values him as a friend I think he will be feeding the Sunwoo clan information at some point down the road. He will give them a heads up on what's happening within the alliance. That is my hope anyway and I can't wait for Shioon to repay smug face for what he has done.

I was expecting that to happen but a part of me wanted redemption for Shi-Woon but it is too early. The smirk face guy is almost the same level as So-Chun Hyuk and he seems to be one of the leaders of SUC so it would be weird if Shi-Woon can hit him without ki. Shi-Woon even have difficulty facing Hyuk in his mind training so it would be a miracle or extremely lucky shot if his punch connected. Without the pill Shi-Woon is just a regular guy. This chapter also shows how big the gap between Shi-Woon to a proper grandmaster like elder Kwon.

Now because of what happened, Sunwoo clan should expedite ShiWoon recovery. Elder Kwon by now should no longer hesitate asking their clan leader how he was able to use his ki and other techniques. After having his Ki restored temporarily by upgraded pill his training with with Sunwoo should officially start. Now the pill might also be related to SUC. I also doubt that his ki center will be fixed permanently anytime soon.

The smirk guy did not take into consideration that Shi-Woon already have some ties with the murim world like Sera's master which technically even only for a short time is already Shi-Woon's teacher. The grandma master seems like one of the strongest and the one who thinks within the MAA so the bridge between Sunwoo and MAA is not completely broken just yet.

My guess is MAA will slowly break apart starting with smaller schools giving way for SUC to bring chaos due to limited man power of MAA. There will be new alliances formed and here comes Shi-Woon's external connections comes valuable like with Sera, Ji-Gun and Mun-Gi Ma. Eventually MAA short of man power will try to approach Sunwoo for an agreement.

Meh, Kwon should've been on his way. A fighter of his level should've expected the Fox Eyes to interfere on the first attempt and should've been there to stop the 2nd attempt. If Shioon was without KI then he did ok but I'll be really disappointed if they blindly blame the MAA for this. They know that the SUC has ties with the Heavenly Way school and smirk face definitely used their moves (spinning and fluid motion seems to be their trademark). They are all getting blinded by hate and at the very least Kwon and Shioon should be able to think rationally (that used to be Shioon's main redeeming quality). My main disappointed is not with this particular chapter, but where the story seems to be heading.

I personally am not bashing this Manhwa which is my fav it's just that Shioon kinda disappointed this chapter :(. I mean i understand that he's in the state he is without his Ki center and all but you got to admit that he threw that punch without thinking . He just though "damn this dude is seriously coming after me , i gotta do something " and then what ..he threw that punch without thinking against a master class . Duh it was logic that his pitiful attempt will fail .

Another thing that someone pointed out (which i agree with) is that about Gyu-Bum Yi . I also don't get why after his 1st attack was dogged instead of attacking again he just stood there like a moron and just watched in utter shock . :fail That was a failure from his part though i gotta admit his aura when he attacked that dude was really something :)

What other choices did he have exactly? Its not like he knew who the guy was and I don't think he can tell the level at a glance anyway. Besides, taking Shioon's personality into account, running wasn't an option, and that would have been even more embarrassing at any rate.

The only thing I don't get is that Kwon has already shown that he can move faster than the eye can follow even for someone of smug-face's level, so why did he just stand there? Gyu-bum failed too.

Shioon asked three times who he was. Once to Smugs then once to anyone and then at the end. If he finds out that Smugs is part of heavenly way then all bets are off. Maybe this is where the author had in mind to get Shioon his ki center back. I can see Shioon leaving and going into hiding again. Sunwoo not knowing where he is at then enter the doc. He is offered one final pill.

You take the red pill your appearance will alter and ki will exit your body you will go back to being a,weakling. You take the blue pill which again might kill you. But if you live then your ki center will be restored and you can see how,far the rabbit hole known as Shioon can go.

Takes the blue pill screams for three days. Kind of like that stupid transformation description that Stephanie Meyer gave when Bella transformed. Anyway Shioon will scream until his lungs and vocal cords give out. But when he is done beast mode and Kwon training is on.

He's already been informed the Sunwoo is the strongest clan out there aside from his own, so why is he so shocked to see that they have 2 very strong fighters? He's already been informed the Sunwoo is the strongest clan out there aside from his own, so why is he so shocked to see that they have 2 very strong fighters? I think that someone should find it suspicious that the Alliance would choose this time to pick a fight with the Sunwoo clan. The Alliance is at an all time low in the solidarity of the clans that it represents. It would be in big trouble by picking fights at this time since it wouldn't be able to count on it's own supporters vs the Sunwoo clan. Some clans might even withdraw from the Alliance.

2. It's time for Shioon to request a meeting with Kangsung the current head of the Alliance and demand to know who smugface is. Bring the security camera footage. I'm sure he will be interested in it too since he didn't send him. :)
3. I guess the next step would be for the Alliance to request a meeting with Hyuk So Chun.

just like Smug Face said on the phone they want to make MMA and Sunwoo to be enemies because that is the plan of SUC and GMR said to give/ready Seoul

3 options will not happen

1. Sera's clan is just a minor clan under MMA so she can't voice out some opinions
2. those MMA guys (the one in suits) maybe already reported what happen and maybe Smug face will add some things on that info like they attacked us first we are doing some inspection/investigation about SUC and he will say that he proved that SUC is Sunwoo clan
3. Hyuk already meet Kang sung and Kangsung is asking for help

Also, good grief, if Shioon was just going to be taken hostage then what on earth was the point of all the rushed training:blink? I so wish authors didn't feel the need to embarrass their main characters like that. ('noblese' does just fine with a god for a main character)

However now that its come to this, I fully expect Shioon to redeem himself against smug face down the road like he did with cool guy. Thats the only way his training will hold any meaning whatsoever.

Oh well, perhaps this will renew his tortured path towards going berserk, as he did in the car a few chapters back when he heard about his mother. This, I think, is how he is going to get his ki center back in the end.

Well thats seems to be the plan, Jeon seems to be setting up the time of revival of Shioon. He wan't to force shioon to become a monster like figure. The mother's accident, the attack on his friends, and now the hostage situation are all going to make him more and more angry. I guess we might see him become a very cruel clan leader.

with the recent development next chapter we will see the doc soon i dont think their is a way to fix his ki center but like the pill that just activate his ki in his body the qwack doc might just make a drug that activate his ki permanently

I would have loved to seen Shiwoon kick or block that guy from the Heavenly Way School. I though the author has kept it somewhat real in the sense that there was no quick fix as I think many of us has been expecting. So Shiwoon will have to continue his struggles for sometime until he can get some kind of permanent fixing of his ki center. Regarding Shiwoons ki center I was thinking what would happen if Shiwoon took another magic pill like the first one he took. I think it was called IL-Dan?

How long will take to find-out that the Heavenly way school is working against the Martial Arts Alliance.
