AMAZING chapter.

After so many soft and funny chapters, one just isn't prepared to see something like what happened to Wagon. It was chilling.
Komatsu probably will be ok, like in Mellow Cola arc, but maybe Shima surprise us.

Next week Chiyo vs Chinchinchin is gonna be epic. I guess Toriko will fight the golem.

Good chapter! I actually think that Komatsu will be seriously injured and will be laid up for a certain amount of time. What I hope will happen is that with the injury he will still fight off Otake. But he'll probably just cry and say why Otake why, we came up together blah blah blah and before Otake gives the finishing blow Chin comes in and polishes off Otake calling him a rookie or something like that. Maybe this will finally be the catalysts for Komatsu to man up. This is the first real danger he's been in and Toriko is no where around.

I think Chiyo vs Chin is gonna look like a genjutsu fight at first. Someone's gonna say, they are just standing there. Then the old man (who I think saw at least a little of Chiyo's moves) will be like nope, they've been going at it for awhile now.

Toriko is getting bulked up on Bubble fruit. I wonder if he'll come back weighing 2 tons off bubble fruit alone.

Wow that was really something! Those bastards need to die, especially Otake who attacks Komatsu who isn't even armed or prepared to fight without warning. Chyo gives an incredible evil aura and needs to be stopped, hope master Chin arrives before she takes them all out.

Toriko is getting ridiculously huge, his back looks immense. Otake is saying farewell, I think they are going to the Gourmet World, so if Toriko can beat them it could mean that he is almost ready for the Gourmet World.

Dammit. This chapter felt rly short. I welcome the tension. Just baddass. Wonder how this fight gone end. Considering Chiyo knows the temple and its fighter, I believe she came in confident to beat them all. I guess the newly powered up Toriko will save their asses. Though not sure about Chinchan, I can't rly judge his place in this battle. I think he might now be a bit weaker than Chiyo.

Chin will come to Komatsus rescue. As Chin and Chiyo will fight their battle, the Golem and Take will fight the remaining Assistant masters. They will be pushed back but still hold their own until Toriko will come to save them.

But I honestly think Chiyo is stronger than Chinchan, simply because she came in confident knowing the place.

For the chapter to make sense Chiyo would have to take out Chin as well. She said her duty is to stop the spread of Food Honor. To do that she would need to wipe out everyone there, Chin included. So they couldn't spread their teachings to new students.

A top 5 Chef vs. One of the 4 National Treasures. I think it's safe to say this will be the most powerful set of attacks we have yet to see in the story. The two strongest we've seen are Midora and Ichiryuu, but they didn't fight just talked.

New Personal Prediction:
* Chiyo vs. Chinchin.
* Chinchin doesn't use his full power since he doesn't really want to harm Chiyo, and instead tries to figure out why Chiyo has sided with the Bishokukai.
* Chinchin gets injured since he was holding back, but also manages to damage her.
* Meanwhile, Komatsu is dying and asks Ootake why he did this.
* Ootake tells his story.
* Toriko arrives.
* Seeing Komatsu dying he tells Shuu to take Komatsu to the Bubble Way.
* Since Komatsu was near death, nearly as soon as he enters the Bubble Way, the Bubble Fruit reveals itself.
* Komatsu eats and recovers.
* Toriko easily defeats the golem.
* Komatsu comes back, and he, Chinchin and Toriko fight and chase off Chiyo and Ootake.

Regarding Komatsu:
I know everyone wants Komatsu to get stronger, however personally I think that it will ruin his character. Instead, I'd like to think that when Komatsu enters a dangerous situation, he enters a "mode", like "Head Chef Mode". When in "Head Chef Mode" Komatsu learns to use the tools he has at hand to deal with the situation, similar to when they went up against the Salamander Sphinx. In other words, rather than being an actual fighter, he's instead a strategist that is able to cook any ingredient, but only with help. As a "head chef" he'll be able to see and observe everything, and using a combination of Food Honor, Food Luck and Hearing the "Voice" of the Ingredients, he'll know exactly where and how to handle any beast or opponent. Worse comes to worse, he'll whip out the Derous knife and personally fights, though I can only see him doing that when capturing an ingredient, not when fighting a person.

Great prediction and I see that happening. However Komatsu doesn't have gourmet cells in him, as such he wouldn't be able to heal himself after eating. At least not by speed like Toriko and the others.

This chapter highlight is definitely Chiyo. Love that page, although I feel bad for Wagon. Hope he doesn't die. Probably already is.

He's dead, he admitted as much in the chapter. That other bird is dead as well, the only thing is when you carve them up that expertly it takes them a long time to "realize" they are dead. Wagon's problem is that he realized he was dead, otherwise he could have prolonged his imminent death and survived a few moments longer.

Anyway, I just noticed the Golem is the beast which Kurumado referred to back in chapter 159 (panel 1 (http://www.mangareader.net/toriko/159/17)).

Am I the only who is curious to see Toriko ? His hair got longer, his cells have certainly evolved and I'm curious to see just how strong did he get.
Anyway, that Chiyo sure is scary and strong, makes me wonder just how strong Setsuno is.

I like your new prediction and I can see that happening. But as far as Komatsu goes, I'm on the side that wants him to get stronger, BUT I agree with you. I'm not saying I want him to be able scoop up mountains like Chin can or anything like that. I just want him to fight skillfully when he whips out the Derous knife and not yell, close his eyes and swing it randomly like he did at the Gourmet Pyramid. If he can get to a level where he has everything you said, plus he is physically capable enough to handle the changing environments in the Gourmet World without being strapped to Toriko's back the whole time; then I'm good. That's all I want. Well, that and for him not to cry and run behind Toriko every time a low level beast/ingredient appears. lol! I understand it for comic relief but that's about it.

I'm also in the side that Komatsu will eventually become strong. Introducing Chiyo now is just a taste of how strong Komatsu might become in the future and looks like food honor is the key. He being stabbed also shows the need to become stronger. After all it seems like almost all big shot chefs are able to defend themselves in their own way.

I think Komatsu is not yet stabbed but an intuition that he is about to be. Hopefully he can dodge it or at least avoid being hit on a vital spot through food honor.

The chapter was great.:) Toriko has just gotten in another dimention.:) At the end of the chapter he seems to get up to at least 500 kilos.:) Though I hope he will get to at least 1 ton.:) Thus he will be able to not only fight Golem, but also fight Otake after it.:)

I thought that all the guys who were Assistant Masters at Shokurin Temple were strong judjing after Shuu's showdown against Toriko, but it seems that most of them are totally on different level with Chiyo. Hope her ass will be kicked by Chin for killing so many people including one of the Assistant Masters.
This Otake guy... I just can't understand him. Why did he pierced Komatsu? Did he have a grudge against him?

Chiyo is one scary, old granny. Her fight with Chinchin could be the most exciting we have seen so far if it is shown in it's entirety. I guess that leaves the Golem for Toriko and Otake for Komatsu. Seems like Otake might have gotten Gourmet Cells or something, so Komatsu better whip out his Melk knife and start swinging.

Awesomeness. Chiyo is a beast, a complete monster. Wagon's death was ridiculously good. Can't wait to see Chiyo versus Chin.

Looking forward to Komatsu in action as well. His fight is obviously not going to be anywhere as epic as a potential match-up with the two old folks, but I'm curious to see how he will progress. The reality is that we've seen that the top-level chefs are also extremely skilled fighters, to me it would only be natural that Komatsu gains some combat ability.

Not if Komatsu can also use Food Immersion. Seeing as how he is so close to death, it just might work.Isn't Food Immersion just another way to fight and live longer? I think it expends the maximum health bar/stamina. So not rly tied with self healing abilities.

If Otake injures Komatsu, especially if he ijures him badly, then I do believe Toriko will fight Otake. I would say hye can fight Golem and Otake at the same time.:)

I also like the posibility of blood transfusion from Toriko to Komatsu.:) It would be a great posibility to make Komatsu stronger to be able to go to Gourmet World as now he isn't capable of fighting and living there.:)

I think Toriko could just lightly fling Otake with one finger and kill him if he wanted. No matter what Bishokukai did to him to make him stronger, no way he could get anywhere near Toriko's level in such short amount of time. Not to mention that Toriko is now reborn and vastly stronger than ever.

In Japan Toriko is technically already bigger than Bleach (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2011-11-30/top-selling-manga-in-japan-by-series/2011). Im not going to compare both manga nor do I intent to bash Kubos work. its just Bleach does not deserve to be one of the big three anymore.

I also believe that otake and chiyo are drugged, hypnotised or brainwashed. You can see strange things around their eyes. So, the question will be if they can be helped and on whose cost?

Komatsu clearly felt something before he was stabbed, I would love if he did a disappeareance before being stabbed

I don't know the reason why they got to the Dark Side, but at least Otake is drugged for sure as it seems that he got Gourmet Cells and as it was implied he was a Chef who was around 100 best chefs, so he might not be an easy opponent, especially as we know that Bishokukai have tons of delicious ingridients, thus they can manage to develop even a weak person in a strong one after giving him Gourmet Cells and feed him with tons of delicious ingridients.:)

Yes, it might be a clue and it might happen to be something like he felt in Gourmet Pyramide, when he felt a strong hostility from Nitro who wanted some food and he felt as if he was pierced by Nitro.
On the other hand it might be real that he was not only stabbed, but pierced up to his spine... then he might not only be injured, but also immobilised.

The other three have their own way of training.
Zebra accomplished his task and got stronger in the process, Sunny learned a technique from the guardian at the edge to Gourmet world and so forth.

The thing I like about Toriko is that characters can develop independent techniques and evolve on their own terms. Not everyone needs to be a Super Saiyan, Bankai User, Hermit Mode or Devi Fruit User. Everyone can have their own distinct set.

Now that I created an account I am going crazy and deciding to post in all the forums I usually read, with that out of the way what I was thinking is that perhaps Komatsu getting stabbed was real and is a requirement for him to eat the Bubble Fruit that Toriko is going to bring back. Toriko had to bring himself to the verge of death for it to appear, so maybe as Komatsu is bleeding out Toriko will show up, the bubble fruit will recognize his appreciation for food and pour so many nutrients into his body that he will auto heal. Just a thought.

As a prediction I would say that the upcoming chapter, I believe, will be based on Komatsu and especially on Chin vs Chiyo. I believe Toriko will show up at the end of the chapter or even in the next one.:) Though I might be wrong and the conclussion of the Arc will be decided quicker.:)
