Since it seems as if we won't see Kite until after Greed Island how would you feel about a mini-arc dedicated to the character of Kite after Greed Island and before the Chimera Ant Arc

The arc could include

1. The Kite Flashback from chapter 1

2. The time Ging rescued Kite from the slums

3. Kite's life in the slums (in other words...KID KITE! :zomg)

4. Kon! We must have Kon!

Also if my theory is right---

Then what if Kite and Binolt who are both from "the slums" are actually from
the same place as Canary, Kikiyo Zoldyck and the Phantom Troupe.

That's right. I'm talking about Meteor City. I mean when I think slums. I think Meteor City.

So if there was such an arc before the Chimera Ant arc (let's say it happens when Gon and Killua meet Kite instead of Ging) how would you feel? I mean I know I REALLY want to
see the Chimera Ant Arc animated...But I think a Kite arc could be pretty damn cool.
And if we did get such an arc then it would less like a plot device when Kite dies.

Or they could even do something like this

Have Kite, Gon, and Killua talk about their childhoods and how they met each other.

We would then see all the stuff I mentioned about Kite.

Gon's childhood in Whale Island.

Killua's childhood on Kukuroo Mountain

I say give it a total of 10 episodes.

I'd be all for a Kite arc.

I agree with all this except Killua's childhood. We already had the Zoldyck arc which touched on his childhood, and then we're going to have the Chairman Election Arc which is more like an Election arc/Killua and Alluka arc. They can add more Killua childhood there.

I wouldn't mind a more indepth look at Kite's childhood, if it's done well.

And maybe that's because keeping it between Gon and Kite will drive more emotions out of viewers when Kite got killed and Gon went batshit crazy.

Actually I think that's a good idea.

I more want the Kite and Gon childhood stories anyways.

Hee hee, yes. I'd like that. I don't want Kite to look like a plot device, even if he kinda is. I'd be interested in Kite's childhood, as well as Gon's.

I want to see his encounter with amateur hunters too.But it would be better if they show this JUST before his fight with Pitou.

I rather they show it when they are all talking...maybe it could be done after Gon and Killua meet the Amateur Hunters as well.

I just want the stuff that happens once the queen starts eating people to not be interrupted. Before that and after meeting "Nigg"

This would be interesting. Nice to see that I'm not the only one wanting a Kaito flashback of anysort, be it an arc on the anime or a movie or a gaiden in the manga... :]

Are you talking about the hunters who were with him at the start of the arc? The ones who were researching the limb they found?

I hope that, once we get to the Ant arc (Kite arc or no Kite arc), Madhouse will establish these characters well enough. Because honestly, they're quite forgettable. I had about the same opinion for the Nostrade employees in Yorkshin, although they were much more memorable than the hunters in the Ant arc. The only hunter I remember in the Ant arc that's not part of Netero's assassination squad was the one who talked about the swans in her hometown.

Maybe there's just too much going on, but I really can't recall these hunters except for the swan person. I'm not even sure if she's a girl. I'm pretty bad at some details.

I am sure MH will add a lot of scenes in this arc.And they are not so forgettable,we should have new chapters before MH starts Ant arc(i hope),they will be more important because they are Gon's partners(like Biscuit).

I barely remember the amateur hunters, except for the girl with bubblegum. I had to go back into the chapters and see who they all are when I saw them again in chapter 339 with Gon.

Ugh, I guess I'm just really bad with arcs that introduce sooooo many characters. I guess this is one thing I liked about what Madhouse does with the side characters; they make me care about them more. Though I guess I have the advantage of being a manga reader, so I try to notice the characters I didn't pay attention to while reading the manga.

I actually think that we will see Kite flashback BEFORE Greed Island. I think that they are going to do after a major arc, some down time focusing on Whale Island. So I think that after the York New arc is done and dusted, Gon now one step closer to his father with Greed Island now in his grasp. I think that Gon will flashback to where it all began for him. It would also be good foreshadowing for the soon event of Kite's appearance after Greed Island.

Maybe. But I doubt it. I think Kite will appear after Greed Island. I certainly won't mind if he appears sooner but I already was disappointed once with Whale Island
(not that Whale Island itself was bad. Actually it was pretty good). Of course I'm not really expecting a Kite Mini-Arc. Hell there might not even be a flashback.
Kite could just say "long time no see" and we have to assume Gon knows Kite. That said I'd really like a Kite Flashback Mini Arc. I think it's the least Madhouse
can do for so far screwing up that part of the storyline.

I am the only one who loved those sets of characters? I mean, even if they're forgettable they are the first hint we know that a Hunter must have "apprentices" of some sort. And then we know in the Election Arc that those can be called Temp. Hunters. They all look cool and they all were there to remark the difference between a regular persons and Killua & Gon.

I used to think the same as you until I remembered the Captain of the boat that firstly selects them for the Hunter Exam and wondered if He was actually a pro-Hunter and if He knows Nen. All those characters that we saw from Togashi are interesting because of the possibilities you have to see them again or not.

I thought they were pretty likable characters. It was pretty much the first time Gon and Killua met their own peers since Zushi.
Most of the time Gon and Killua are living in a world of adults. It's nice to have the kids because they still got that fighting spirit
rather than the adult sensibility. I dunno if that makes any sense. But it's like the Kakin Exploration Group reminded me of
Gon when he first set out on his journey knowing next to nothing but having that drive to find Ging and become a great Hunter himself.

Maybe I should a coloring for the Kakin Exploration Group.
