they told us to get to the police station, attend the test, etc just for formality..
they didn't mark our tests... i didn't even get to ride the test cars..
the driving test was funny... a girl would drive, and the other girls.. about 10 of them would be the passengers...
then.. one round the lap, and everyone get off... they all pass the test..and then the next batch would get in..
but they told the rest to slowly go to the photo sessions... so some of us didn't get to ride the car..

i've been learning..but for now..i don't even have a car..
i'm just a poor uni student stranded in another continent... :(

but a few updates like Dorabase 9, Nodame Cantabile 11, Crayon Shinchan 41-42, Shounen Star (like shounen jump, but not so updated i guess... it has the early yakitate japan, wild life, Dr. koto, d-live, kurozakuro, etc..) from march to june.. Baby and I (akachan to boku) 12-15 and some weird korean manhwa which i haven't read yet (Admiral Yi Sun Shin by Seo Seok Geun, anyone ever heard of it?)

i'm thinking of starting a scanlation for fight no akatsuki (indonesian -> english) since it was stopped at volume 4 by some group...
but i wanted to let my bro to do it, since he's really struggling with english..
i guess this should be a good practice, what do you think?
all i have to do is proof read it and improve it :p
gotta buy a scanner when i get to the new place :D

Are we really talking about Peace Maker Korugane? I think its one of the best anime I've seen so far...the story is great, the animation quality and the music is awesome too o.O

Well right now, we're only working for Electronic Arts.
I did some work on NHL '07 and NBA Live 2007, first on XBox 360, second on XBox.

Not sure which one I'll be on tomorrow.
But basically, most of the games we test out are sports games (well, through this current contract anyway)

well, me too, but EA's console titles are mostly sports. There's also the next Need for Speed, but it's also considered sports.

I was hoping I'd get to playtest Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars; but it's only on PC and we don't do PC... ah well. It's still nice being payed to play games ^^

Well, not being a big fan of sports games, I can't really make a point of saying weither it follows the rules or whatever. But I must say however that I liked the graphics and most of the generic points of the game (speaking of NHL 07, as I don't remember much from NBA Live). I didn't like the controls much, although it just needs some getting used to I guess. Also, my opinion is only based on the Beta version I had at the time. Meaning some things will still be changed from what I played to the final version. Weither these changes are for the better or for worse, I can't say, but this is my preliminary opinion on the game.

Well, I think I was lucky in getting it cuz I saw the job application on the web and applied for it, but I think it just got put up when I applied :)

I found it on monster.ca but you should know you don't need to look specifically for the game companies. There are companies (like the one I'm in) that work on contract with the gaming companies, doing the video game testing.

you could just try to find out if you have game testing companies in your area.we're lucky here in Montreal cuz we have a Ubisoft and EA company in town :)

Maybe we'll test for Ubisoft next... Splinter Cell ._.
Although it'll probably be out before we're done with EA

I second LadyHatake... that's a job I wish I had as well. But early on, I already knew I didn't have the patience to deal with computers though so... but if there was a talent I wish I had, it would be technology, because I'd love to be a game designer.

Game designer? My dream job. However, I know that if I become one, then I'll probably end working for a small company, if I even find a job :( But then again, it's pretty complicated.

And getting paid for playing would make me a rich man. If I ever get such a job, I hope I don't end up having to play racing games. That would kill me.

Guess what?! My team won our field hockey game tonight! We beat the number 1 team. yay! Actually, if all of my team would show up to every game, WE'D be the number one team. But they don't show up sometimes, meaning we have to play 3 man down or 4 man down (i.e. instead of having 11 pllayers on the field, we have only 7 or 8, against a team of 11.)

We play a tournament next week to see who the top team is in our division. We took first last year, so I'm hoping most of my team will show up to our games. But I doubt it. :(

Yeah, it sucks because I sit on the sidelines and watch while the rest of my team plays :(
Only like 5 weeks left till I get this cast off...I think. But I love watching my team play. We're all really close. And I love cheering them on, even if it's from the sidelines.

You mean NHL? I usually root for the NY Rangers. :)

I will definently stay ;) The people here at MH are great. Once school starts, I'll probably only be able to get on only a couple times a week, but once I get through October I'll have more time. With field hockey season and yearbook and National Honor Society and all this other stuff, plus homework and college/scolarship applications, I'll be busy. Once the new year rolls around I'll have most of my scheduale cleared up.

But I won't leave. I'll just be lurking less often ;)

Well EA is known for bringing mini add ons in the price of full games. Battlefield2 for example...buwaaahh and all the sport titles every ear >.<

Also, we only get to look for bugs in sections that EA specify. So we aren't really allowed to just play around to see if the game's good or not. Plus, EA doesn't want our input, aside from bug reports. So we aren't allowed to give them suggestions.

It was a late surprise birthday gift from her and I'm still thankful for having a great friend and also for having MJ. I had to save for 7 months so I can get Bono and you're right, i should probably make him work once in a while.

I've been best friends with my best friend for over 10 years now (Since 1st grade) and I don't know what I'd do without her. She's one of the few people that I can say absolutely ANYTHING to and won't be offended/freaked out/disgusted. She's always there for me, and vice versa. I don't get to see her very often because we go to different schools, but she's still closer to me than anyone else I know. Like I said, I don't know what I'd do without her.

Yeah, you definently should give Bono some love. :) He's probably all sad and lonely and depressed because you love MJ better than him XD

I have several best friends, we've known each other since we were 9 yrs old, so it's been about 19 years now. but my bestest friend, Henry, can communicate with me less words than most people do, kinda like Ryokan Kurita and Daikichi Komusubi in Eyeshield 21 (if you haven't read Eyeshield 21, then you should, it's very funny). We didnt even realize it until another friend read Eyeshield 21 on my laptop and told us about it. and he always know if i'm in trouble. one time, he called me from another town when i was really feeling down. he just said: "don't worry, man. it'll pass." and i felt better all of a sudden. Sorry to hear about your brother, losing a family member is always hard, my mother died when i was 11 and my dad last year and both times my friend was there to pick me back up.

Though MJ goes with me almost anywhere, i dont think bono will be jealous, cos i got all of U2 songs from their album Joshua Tree to How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb. I'm still looking for their other four album CD. Another funny thing, the last time I took Bono, I got interviewed by a lifestyle magazine asking me about what i'm listening to on my iPod, dumb question. What else should I be listening on a U2 iPod?

Currently I'm listening to old & new stuffs like U2; Dave Matthews Band; Led Zeppelin; KISS; Marillion; Emerson, Lake & Palmer; Audioslave; Hoobastank; Green Day; Incubus; Jack Johnson; Keane; Nickelback; Deep Purple; The Who; The Beatles; Styx; Van Halen and i just found out somebody put Backstreet Boys in MJ. I dont mind, but it ruins the theme.
