Yeah it is prety long 47 volumes if i am not mistaken. I have read them all and i must say that this is a great manga and i think it is definitely not a manga for kids and probably not for girls. Tthis manga has a very mature theme and the story centers aroond one boxer's ego and pride. A definite read for sports manga fan!

I like this manga as well and it has been pretty frustrating not being able to read more of the story, and after looking round the web for a good amount of time i havent found anything translated over ch33 also. It doesnt seem like anyone is scanlating it either even though there are the RAWs that are given in the link you provided above. Maybe with luck someone might pick it up and start translating it. It isnt a problem of no releases since this series is ancient, so i would assume getting old manga RAWs wouldnt be too hard if we really tried. Let me know if anything happens, and i'll also keep a lookout for anything i find.

I've been doing Ashita no Joe scans, starting off where dragons and tigers manga stopped.
Ashita no Joe is a very old boxing series, which achieved an incredible level of success in japan. It tells the story of Joe Yabuki, a troubled youngster who becomes a boxer.
I don't know where the chapter divisions are, so I just release 20 pages at a time. I try to do 20 pages in 4-5 days.

for the first volumes there are many places where you can get them, stoptazmo, gotlurk...

Thanks for the scanslations.
I was a bit dissapointed when Dragons and Tigers stopped, but you've picked it up so it's all good :)
[hr]
Can I ask a favour to anyone. I need chapter 12. The chapter 12 I got from #lurk on IRCHighway isn't the right chapter, it's one of the earlier chapters.

So can anyone do me a favour (possibly ghrghr) and reupload chapter 12?
[hr]
Nevermind. I found it at the 4shared.

Oh dudem, thank you for doing this!! I was searching for so long now, to get a grip on further scanlations of AnJ but never found any.. Yeah, because there WEREN'T any of them out there XD (I read through TaD-scans and was eagerly waiting for more, but hell, they never came and the team disassembled. ) You'r great ^^

--EDIT-------

Dammit, could someone re-upload the chapters? And did ghrghr stop scanlating, yet? O.o Please, don't let this be true..

Haven't seen him around in a while, so probably.

I'll see what I can do about uploading them since I have them. Are there any chapters in particular that you want? Just remember you can get them off of gotlurk.net if you use IRC. I only had problems with the above mentioned chapter being the wrong one on Lurk.

Um, yeah, I'm searching for all the chapters from where TaD stopped.
Would be very glad, if you could upload them for me.

Links are down. Does anyone have these? Or anybody knows if there any raws or anything about AnJ on IRC or something? :s
[hr]
Well, I found the raws here (http://www.rawmanga.com/2010/06/ashita-no-joe-manga-all-20-volumes.html), but I still can't find any scanlation after "chapter 55"... Any clues?
[hr]
In other words: Is anyone willing to translate it? Maybe form a new scanlation group?

I'm reading it, it definitely is an incredible manga and a must-read classic. Well, for me I have no problem with scans since where I live manga are available in french and Ashita no Joe is published in french by Glenat. I feel sorry for others, because every manga fan should be able to read Ashita no Joe.

Actually, I'm quite sure it had 26 volumes only, which is still long. Other than that, I totally agree with what you said :).
