I don't know any books that presented a story as I've read in Dorohedoro, 20th Century Boys, Monster, Vinland Saga or Space Brothers. Images make it easier and quicker to read but the quality isn't most important (at least not to me). For example I'm a big fan of Detective Conan and character designs in there suck. The same goes for One Piece (although I'm not a fan of this manga) and yet there are millions of fans of this shounen. And actually I consider The Witcher as something better than Claymore but the main thing that still keeps me reading Claymore are discussions. If Yagi would suddenly dump 25 volumes of this manga I probably wouldn't be as engaged in it as I am.
Shouldn't Yagi put tails on the balloons? I never know who the heck is talking! >.<
I have noticed a couple of posts about Yagi-sensei's art. I do admit they aren't the best, but I would like to explain what I can for him. I just noticed an interview in the thread "A letter to Norihiro Yagi," and gave my effort into translating parts of the interview. Although the series he picks are pretty much the mainstream ones, I don't have any objections to his choice. And regardless whether you include the less well-known or not, Clare is still probably gonna be the No.1 on my list XD (joint No.1 with Alphard from Canaan though, and probably Revy coming to a close 2nd :P)Quote:

Apparently the 5th extra scene has come out...I don't know when.
I was checking the manga site, and found out there was a new extra scene there, so I decided to read it.
Basically, it involves Isley, Rigaldo, and Dauf gathered on this hill named Vinci Hill. They discuss the recent awakening of Chronos. Rigaldo is still mad over being rank 2 and wants to settle it with Isley until a young Riful interrupts.
Apparently the commencement of the first female generation started way before I thought...even before all the male Claymores were awakened.
Riful talks with the three males and is left alone with Dauf.
Dauf immediately has a crush on Riful, and asks to hold her hand.
This 8 page Extra Scene was pretty awkward.
No idea what it's there for though.
Any thoughts?
I guess it was both an intro to chronos and for fans of the characters featured in it; the extra chapter didn't really serve much purpose though it showed that Isley + Riful knew each other even prior to awakening.
