naruto is dropping rapidly in my list recently.. the storyline is getting too messy now. and worst of all, it's getting too linear.. it's too obvious when they are deciding to have something happen, and it's like, e.g. the wind rasengan, sheesh everyone saw that coming. the introduction had to be dragged through 2-3 chapters and when the attempt finally appears, as linear as ever, it's disappointing.. if u get what i mean. it started dying out at around chapter 300, and if it doesn't wake up from its slump soon, it's gonna stay there for good. readers are being lost with each disappointing/dull chapter
anyway, once again, one piece holds the top spot in my list. it's just too unpredictable.. just when u thought the enies lobby fight was over, that the climax was over.. a sudden heart wrenching surprise suddenly shows.. this is what i have come to love about one piece, there's never a dull moment. lol and 428 chapters of life and it's still as addictive as ever. i love it.. thanks oda!

This list can be sort of confusing because completed series are in competition with those that are still being serialized. I recently got into Berserk and One Piece and I have not caught up yet.
If I had to rank the series that are finished, I would have to say Basilisk is first, and Death Note is a close second. Ai-Ren also caught me by surprise and ended up being so original and refreshing that it belongs in my top 10.
