Ah yes, I want to play as the mechromancer too. I saw a video on all her cool abilities she's probably the most over-powered out of all of them.

Ok, I have to admit that this looks awesome. Just watching Dante, Ratchet, Kratos, SIR DAN...
But come on, only 20 playabale characters? It's just an insut to Playstation history (considering that Melee had 26 characters and it was a game released in the game cube).
So many characters where cut out (and I don't really care if they are 3rd parties, they are still important to Sony): Tomba, Rayman, Cloud, Wander (or, I don't know, ICO would be enough), Gex, Dart, Gene, Kazuma Kiryu, Spyro, SOLID SNAKE, AND CRASH BANDICOOT (Their unofficial mascot back in the 90s, who was head to head with Sonic and Mario, they should have bought the rights before he got killed). It's good to see that Polygon man, their real mascot, will make an appearance, but come on so many IPs left behind (and there a lot that I didn't mention, like Croc, Raziel, Rikimaru, Amateratsu, etc)...
I'm disgusted (yeah, I'm one of those "No Crash no Buy" guys, blame me).

Starcraft II : Heart of the Swarm. March 12, 2013. :hip
I just finished Assassin's Creed 3 a little while back and, I gotta say, I feel like people aren't making nearly a big enough deal of how sub-par that game was.

This article from Kotaku really hit the nail on the head for regarding all the reasons why.
But the one thing I feel even that article didn't make a big enough deal out of was how poor the story was. I've noticed that video games often get a pass they don't deserve when they try to tell a story and fail to do it well for the sole reason that they are "games". It just seems wrong to me that we hold video-games to a lesser standard than other mediums (moves, TV, and books) when videogames arguably hold the most story telling potential. The level of choice and interactivity they have is second to none.
To use manga/anime adaptations as an example....
Imagine a One Peace game where you travel the east blue and put together your own pirate crew from the characters in series.
Imagine a Naruto game where you could make the decisions that mold the course of the story as well as mold his arsenal of jutsu's to your tastes.
That kind of thing isn't possible in any other medium. Yet it is rarely even attempted and I don't get why. With all the money that is put into pushing the boundaries of what can be achieved visually, you'd think they could hire some real writing talent and push the boundaries of what they can do narratively as well. But they just don't.
Instead games like AC3 end up creating mindmeltingly beautiful worlds and use them to tell a story that ranks somewhere between Sharktopus and American Ninja V.
Gamers deserve better.:fail
Is it really that bad? I haven't played any other games beside I and II, and I really enjoyed the storyline in both of those (especially II). I really don't want to be disappointed :/
1 was a huge dissapointment for me. It was like 1 level repeated 11 times, I got bored halfway through it. I never played an AC game again.
I hate to say it, but it is.
Large parts of the story make no sense in addition to the gameplay being worse than almost every Assassin's Creed game before it. And the main character is just horrible. They were going for the stoic native American thing, which as a fan of westerns I love, but they did it all wrong. He comes across as angry, petulant, stupid, and incompetent. Kinda like he's been hittin' the firewater.
Everything he does toward the last half of the game just makes you....:epicfacepalm
It's funny because the prologue is done from another character's perspective and that part was "ok" (gameplay issues aside), then the real main character gets introduced and the narrative just implodes.
There was actually a deathbed scene at one point with a character and in the next scene....he's still alive and giving me a mission. How does that even happen!? Did nobody proofread the storyline?:blink

A friend of mine is into Assassin's Creed big time, it's probably his favorite series of games; and to him this was one of his biggest gaming disappointments.
I wish I had money I want to get Halo 4 and Black Ops oh so badly :XD

Cant wait for the Black Friday Game Stop Sales thinking about getting a PS3.
Anyone got the wii u yet? I don't see any particularly strong titles in it yet but I would like some comments on gameplay. Is it any good? Is it worth it?
well, i played dishonored recently and i must have to say the game was great. it was created by 1 of the deus ex creaters harvey smith nad the man brought a lot with him. i will confess i bought the game cause it was distributed by bethesda, i am in any way glad that i did. it has its problems but story, art and ai all makes up for some of its issues. i must have to say as a game developed by a less known but ultimately good french studio (Arkane Studios) it sure was great after the Mass Effect 3 debacle.
Friend of mine got a WiiU over the weekend, only player Nintendoland... and it was SO MUCH FUN. XD Luigis Mansion is aperfect party game, Samus Blast is great as well, Pikman started some heated fighting for experience. Every game was most fun played with as many players as possible.
