I've been keeping up with the raws until it stopped being released on a frequent basis. :cry It stopped somewhere around Chapter 237 the last time I checked which was a while ago.

I agree, but the scanlating group has done a great job so I don't mind the wait. :) Sket has more dialogue* compared to other weekly series so the translations probably take time to get right with all the puns and cultural references.

*It's probably because Shinohara was Soraichi's assistant at one point.

Who is Nakatani-from class A?
This chapter was amusing. The universe doesn't want you to see her. Oh cruel fate! I wonder if the mafia was looking for her too?

I couldn't resist buying the 2 first volumes which were out this week in France. It's funny to reread the first chapters and the traduction is quite good for once.
At the end of every chapter, Shinohara makes a comment about it. In the one with Momoka appearance, he says that he planned to make her fat and ugly at first. Hopefully his editor made him change his mind :-)

From the cover and TOC, it seems like we will have an Osaka arc. And Osaka means Himeko ! I wonder if we will see more of her family.

This is kinda how I see the series going after they graduate.

The Osaka arc is dark and violent. :blink I don't think we have had a serious arc like this in a while so it's pretty jarring. It seems as if Himeko knows the perpetrator/the ex-boyfriend of her friend personally before this event, and I wonder what their history was.

Perhaps it's the shipper in me, but I detected a BossuHime moment when Switch noted how Bossun always acts impulsive when something happens to Himeko.

Same here. In Sket Dance's timeline, we're still in July/August so it will be awhile until March when they would graduate.

Sket Dance has transformed into an action manga !!
And Switch read the mood a little, can't you see when a girl wants to confess ? Poor Himeko, if she couldn't do it here I wonder what action of Bossun will make her cros the line, because if she waits for him to ask the serie will definitely never ends :-)

Haven't seen the sling shot in a while, now it's been upgraded. Bossun looked like Oga from Beelzebub when he punched that guy. Action hero Bossun is the best.

Really love this arc, even though I profoundly enjoy Sket's gag arcs. Switch was such a mood killer dammit! oh well, probably we should wait more for the long-awaited confession to happen, after all.

I'm sure that you all would love the next serious arc after this.

This arc really cemented the close bond between Bossun and Himeko. Despite the goofiness that Bossun pulls off most of the time, he's nevertheless someone you can count on to help you out. My shipper senses was tingling btw.

Just like Himeko's friend, I wish Switch can talk again in the future- after all, HE wants to as well.

They would make such a nice pairing :wtf And Bossun was really cool here, if I'm not mistaken this was the first time we've seen him in a real "fight" + kick ass. Just proves that he's at his best when he's helping/protecting his friends :nod Best serious arc since the backstories of Bossun, Himeko and Switch. I loved it.

And I saw that comment by her friend as a foreshadowing for the Switch ON Arc, I seriously can't wait.

...isn't it the Switch On arc? Either way, it is indeed foreshadowing. Though given the nature of the arc, I want to call it backshadowing.

Spoiler: Finally able to read the raws! show

Recently there has been a couple more moments between the two, which hint at something more. :wtf

It's too bad that Shinohara Kenta is underrated as a writer because he's capable of writing powerful stories such as the Sket Dan's backstories and this Osaka arc.
