Looking for Manga Fonts!! Please help!!
Hello members of Manga helpers!
My Name is JC94706, an amature typestter/editor. I was looking for a couple of fonts to get a better start at typesetting. If you could help me out, that would be awesome. :-)
I am looking for a full-version of Wild Words font. It costs ALOT of money and wont allow me to use charachters like "Ä" and characters like "~" . It would be greatly apreciated if someone could find me a version with the extra characters. The other Pay font I am looking for is called "ZOOM". I don't need this font, but would love to have it.
Thank you all,
JC94706.
Re: Looking for Manga Fonts!! Please help!!
Wild Words doesn't come with those special characters. At least not as far as I know.
Re: Looking for Manga Fonts!! Please help!!
i prefer animeace over wildwords, animeace looks nicer and its free :) Try 1001fonts.com, they tend to have a lot of fonts there too or even dafont.com
Re: Looking for Manga Fonts!! Please help!!
You can try with A.C.M.E., it's free too and it's very similar to the Wild Words and it has more characters.
I'm looking for a font for the typesetting
Hi,
Like the title already tells you I'm looking for a font for the typesetting.
I already searched over this site and I found such a topic and downloaded the font which they suggested, but when i wanted to put it in Windows/font folder it didn't work.
So I would really apreciate if someone could send me a nice font for typesetting, I am searching one because i want to translate Naruto in my language.
Regards, Jeni
Re: I'm looking for a font for the typesetting
Usually for typesetting, most scanlators use the font WildWord. Here, I uploaded it for you.

And to make the font is up for use on your PC, please make sure you put them in the Windows/Fonts folder. Maybe because the fonts you got is corrupted?

Here's my opinion: Don't lean on Wild Words so much. Yeah, it's the easiest font to use, but still. Some diversity would be nice. More of Anime Ace, Web Letterer BB, Kid Kosmic, Digital Strip, and so on, as your main fonts instead of WW would be great. Always be open and visit font sites regularly.

Two common sites worth checking out.

100% Agree. I don't use WildWords for anything -- it's a commercial font that is licensed out at something like $129 a copy... shouldn't take any additional unnecessary risks. AnimeAce 2.0 is my choice for most dialog.
Another good site is http://www.blambot.com.

I like One Stroke Script and Steel City Comic too.. I'm not sure if it is free font, in worst case I will upload it for you :)
Re: I'm looking for a font for the typesetting
it's maybe just me, but i keep coming to back to WW. i tried a lot of comic fonts, zap raygun, anime ace, the blambots, jack armstrong and others. but WW just "feels like a comic" most. i guess it's the "wild" feeling, especially bold-italicized. anime ace feels slow. jack armstrong is too slippery. the blambot fonts feels like cotton. zap is almost WW but not quite. im talking gibberish i know. here's the best comic font site:
