Hello, I really would like to support for the book. I speak Japanese and English (Im Spanish btw). I might forgot something since I left japan but I own a nice digital dictionary, and hell! I want to give it a try!

Sorry minna, I'm busy with work and school right now, so things will be a little slow for me at the moment. Nevertheless, when the weekend comes, I'll be more than prepared to get back into extra action. I'm just giving an update to let anyone who is interested know that this project is NOT dying. ^_^ Real life is just taking a took right now :p Anyhow, see ya guys soon.

EDIT: And sure, I guess I could upload the cleaned RAWs after I typeset and release them. Don't see why not. ;)

and what are the characters like "a~o" "ta~to" "sa~so" mean?
I don't get it... well if this one is alright i would do some others as well:)

"A~o" marks the section for characters with names starting with "a" through "o". The book is in "alphabetical order" so to speak, but Japanese style. In English, the order is "a b c d e f g..." In hiragana, the order of the characters is
"a i u e o
ka ki ku ke ko
sa shi su se so..."
Which also explains why, for instance, character's with names starting with "n" are later in the book.

Sure, night_wolf! I actually would really love to have some cleaning help! I was thinking of making a tutorial for this project, in particular, anyway. I don't have the time, or resources, to make one today, but I will try my best to create a "How to Clean Databook III Pages [HQ]" thread sometime tomorrow. It really isn't that hard, but it is very time consuming. Here's a brief overview of things you'll have to do:

1. Open the Databook III template (i will provide this)
2. Paste in the Databook page and re-size to fit.
3. Update all miscellaneous information through the use of the template (name [in kanji & romanji], index, page number, ability graph, village + character info, etc.)
4. Clean away all text (of course :p)
5. Replace ALL panels with the HQ panels from the HQ Japanese Tankoubans, and level.
6. Redo all the borders.
7. Remaining miscellaneous tasks (example: name background)

As I said, it's easy, but time consuming. The average page (double-spread) takes me about 3-4 hours to finish (from RAW to typeset and finished). So cleaning usually takes me about 2 hours, depending on all the panels I have to find and replace.

The good thing about cleaning, though, it that you don't need to wait on anyone else (i.e. translators) to get it done. The whole databook MUST be cleaned, anyway, so getting a head start on as many pages as possible is definitely progressive.

If you're still up for the challenge, stick around 'til about tomorrow or so, and I'll make that tutorial page. ;) Thank you for the interest, though! It gets kinda lonely when it feels like you are the only one that's interested in this project :p

can you, eaballer give the font with yo write the names in kanji and the names in the bords(in the black space)please

Hey, I don't know how to translate or do any of the other things, but I'd be willing to add in the text to blank pages once they're translated...or anything else that doesn't require knowledge of the Japanese language.

these things i didnt really understood. well, i can do pages from time to time. ill be willing to help, i know you guys have problem with translations. but ill be pretty free next month. (not next week). but again, give me tutorial. i promise ill help you out, even if it was for couple of pages.

Nice thead eaballer10. I was wondering if I could be of any help. I have the data book and know a considerable amount of Japanese :D
Also I was just going to say, this is actually the 4th Databook. The 3rd one was Tou no Sho, 2nd was Rin no Sho, Can't remember the name of the first but it had a blue cover with Kakashi and Naruto. XD Sorry if it sounds like i'm nitpicking. >.<
