This thread serves as general recommendations thread for Boys Love manga, manhwa and manhua. Please ask here for suggestions. If you're interested into recommendations without the focus on yaoi or shounen-ai, visit the respective thread in the Otaku Theater. Besides that, the seinen, shounen and shoujo&josei sections have specific recommendation threads as well.

You're free, of course, to create a thread for a single series on it's own. This is especially recommended for more popular series :)

I know it's not easy to define the border but please refrain from recommending and sharing hardcore (hentai level) series with highly violent, explicit and disgusting or morally reprehensible content (e.g. shota, bestiality).
For the moment, all sections of MangaHelpers are open for all ages. We don't have any kind of age protection for this section so far, so please use common sense to decide on which series are 'over the line' as recommendation to (older) teenagers and young adults while keeping in mind that 14 years old members can and will read your posts too.
To not see it too negative: Maybe this rule can actually help to concentrate on plot-driven series instead of the usual 'action oneshots' where the only story goal is just the way straight into the pants (which can be quite amusing, I admit) >.>

it definitively has all you need , nice line, strong likable characters and the story that will keep you reading and wanting more if you hjave time to spare try this one

@boszz, that looks really great. I love those kind of stories but I guess I should buy new handkerchiefs before I start reading in this case ;__;
I'm running around Ze since a long time now, always waiting that the scanlations catch up a little faster (I hate long breaks between the chapters, rather wait in starting the series). But that looks so good... hrrrm... ok, you win... *runs off to yshare*

well one of my rules before downloading yaoi is that manga needs to have more than 3 chapters released to not keep crying in the bed while waiting for the rest. And this is the only one manga I've broken my rules for

Back then, the teacher would always use Homura as an excuse to run away whenever something happened, and he would never get in the "mood" whenever he was with Kaori. One day, while going through the exam papers, he noticed that Homura wrote "I like you, sensei" in a corner. Will he accept Homura's confession?
Great comedy worth reading and spared time.
Its another one of my favourite , No matter how many times i read this one i never get bored
maybe not must-read but defenitely more than should-read

Well i'm reading ( waiting for another chapter) about 100-150 yaoi titles now so when they get released in about 2-3 months you doint feel so much tired because you know there will be some of the other manga to read. It works ;D

Although it's a relationship which started without any destruction
this is one of the manga i dont have a clear opinion, its bitter but also sweet, interesting but slow,
at first i thought it would be one of many average manga but i was so wrong ... slowly you get trapped by every page of it and cant free yourself from it

in one word this is a classic. You cant miss that one .Even thought it has 11 volumes the moment you start to read it you'll understant that 11 volumes is too little for you.

i know this one <3 this is good one but rather than oneshots i prefer something longer ^^ but still it was pretty good

Hi. I am not sure even know if I like this genre that much. I started reading manga coz I enjoyed Josei/smut/romance/shoujo bishies and good character plots. I ran out of mangas to read so i explored Yaoi because it has good smut content and there are definately bishies there, and not to mention a far better advanced and stimulating dialogue. (It would be nice to imagine a female replaced in these mangas and everything else the same). Whey does Yaoi seem to have better smut content , and bishies and stronger characters?
Regardless i found a few mangas that have been good reads and I would recommend them.

When humans are at their happiest moments they emit an aura that is delicious for certain fairies. This story is about a guy who has a fairy follow him around because he will soon emit that aura and the fairy wants to eat it...but all this guy encounters is one-sided love or failed relationships, is he really ever going to emit that aura?
No matter how many times i read this one it doesnt lose its sweetnes, epicness and hmm there's something else that i dont even know how to name .
This is very good manga that i recommend to everyone its not too long and the characters are very interesting

On the first day of Shima's new job he met a man with a hangover in the elevator. That was his first meeting with his new boss, Togawa. Though Togawa seemed rude and cross, Shima was drawn to the kindness beneath his rough facade. Both men harbor a painful past but unlike Togawa, who was open with his feelings, Shima seems unable to move on.
Great manga . after just one page i fell in love with manga. It has all it needs strong characters, interesting background , plot everything is made so good that i couldnt resist and had to download raw what's going to happen and even after doing this i dont regret it . Another great manga of Yoneda Kou.
