They'll be even more atrocious on defense now. I didn't see it coming either, but it makes sense considering the personnel they have. Also, Phil was asking for too much; stake in ownership, say in personnel moves, little to no road games travel, around the same money as before....all that & he'll most likely only be coaching another two years at the most.

If wasn't for Nash's bad back he would probably be doing back flips right now.

Then again maybe not. An aging Laker's roster running an up tempo style?....ain't nobody got time for dat :lmao not to mention one of their main problems are defense, depth, health, and lack of athleticism. They wont be good this year.
its true Phil was acting like an hollywood star but the Lakers messed up big time

You're right, but Phil or no Phil.... aside from the offense hiring him wouldn't have solved a lot of their other problems I mentioned. In a lot of ways they would be essentially the same team that got swept by the Mavs a few years back.
Actually after the potato head firing, the team has played better. I'm not saying this because of the wins over the bad teams, but against the spurs it was a game lost in the last play. The D got better without Mike Brown
^They were probably playing bad D on purpose to get him fired quickly :lmao

Detroit got their first win about damn time.
Guys what do you think of this NBA season so far? It's kinda crazy how some team improved. On the west the Grizzlies and the Clippers play like Champion, the Spurs are still standing on the top and Thunder are still as good as last year, Martin is doing well. Seems like the Lakers will have to wait another season, specially with D'Antoni, Popovich gonna bury them. The Rockets are still struggling but they're very entertaining to watch. Asik is the real joker of the team.
On the East, except 2,3 teams it's still weak there. the only surprise are the Knicks. Thought the Bobcats winning streak is quite funny :p
So far this season is way better than last year, can't wait to see how some team gonna improve during the season.
The Clippers are my favorite team in the west and even though it's early they're proving to be legit contenders in the West. Haven't had a chance to watch the Grizzlies, but they're also pretty good from what I can tell so far. They still don't really have a go to guy in the fourth, but Rudy Gay could be the answer. Spurs will go as far as their "healthy" legs will take them. The Thunder aren't as good as they were last year. The loss of Harden is showing greatly especially in late game situations. Martin is playing exceptionally well, but he's not the play maker or defender Harden was for them. I expect West"brick" to continue jacking up a lot of shots every game and IMO it'll only spell doom for the thunder if he's having to do more. Kevin Durant has to be more aggressive in the offense from now on. I hope the Rockets make the playoffs as an eight seed. I think Harden and Lin (mostly Harden) can carry them that far.
The Miami Heat are still looking formidable with the highest scoring offense, but they need to pick it up defensively. Also, Wade has to stay healthy. The Celtics still don't have an offensive identity, but that will come in time. Their bench this year has been playing really good especially when the starters are flat. The Knicks are have been a surprising case. I just wonder if they'll continue playing that way when Amare comes back. The Nets continue to improve with every game. They'll be a high seed in the playoffs this year perhaps 3rd or 4th. The Bobcats are playing a lot better so far. They're finally playing with confidence in themselves.

Lost to arguably the worst team in the league tonight. Kudos Celtics :darn
Just a thought I think Philly really took a bad gamble on Andrew Bynum.
he's been waiting for that sooo long, wanted revenge :lmao

Spoiler show
Is there anyone in professional sports more outwardly arrogant than Kobe?
Michael Jordan
Is 0-82 possible?
Well, they're certainly not winning anymore than 72 games :lmao
72? I'd be happy if the Wiz managed 10. Should I start talking myself into Shabazz Mohammed now? I'm already looking forward to dropping four spots in the lottery.
