The How I Met Your Mother Thread

I saw season 1-3 completely and saw some various other episodes, but I don't think of this as much more as an "mediocre" comedy series.

Okay, they have some better jokes then most series, but the acting's not all that good and well, I don't like it on a long-run, it's just something you might watch by coincidence while zapping your way through the channels.

So far the fifth season is starting much better than the fourth...

I had tears in my eyes when Ted was teaching Barney and showing the 'angry Robin' pic :XD
the BRo relationship ( Barney+RObin in case someone didn't notice :p ) is being nice so far, both of them are still funny enough and they are a cute couple, I'm cheering for them :]

Now, I hope that Marshall has some more spotlight in the next chapters, the whip was funny and everything, but his fantasys and the barrel were just.. wtf? xD

Totally forgot about those.
I've been watching this series since the beginning. I usually watch it however when shows like Heroes :s (don't know why I watch it) or 24 (oh yeah baby!)
come on I just download it. Anyways Lily has grown on me.
I do agree with some people about the acting, especially from Marshall and Lily.
Best actor there I think is Robin.

The Robin/Barney relationship is over. It was ruining the show for me considering it just sort of ruined Barney's character for me, not to mention most of the shows up until this point have been focused on them, and Robin's my least favorite character. Hopefully the show picks up again now that their relationship is over and Barney can go back to being "Legendary!"

oh and in the last scene after Alan Thicke reveal that he and Robin made that unsuccessful TV show and the Barney run out of the bar to search copy of that show, and that is hilarious

Finally...the slapgiving returns, hahaha been waiting for this for so long, but it's worth it, kinda dislike the title, sounds a bit lame, but I like how they built the moment for that slap...and "The Slapping Throne"...and Ted and Robin's line :

TED : .....in fact I want to study slapping under your tuttelage
I want to be you slap-prentice
ROBIN : .....You're a slap-ping rock star
Your name should be Eric Slap-ton

That really craks me up

This week's episode bought back some funyn memories; A Licky boom boom down!!!
And Ted getting a call from the granny saying "the window's open" rofl!!
