The Manga/Anime Twilight Zone, where not everything is what it seems...
Welcome to The Manga/Anime Twilight Zone!! Where not everything is what it seems...
Thanks to BBB Banana for the idea for this thread!!
Have you ever read a manga or watched an anime and met a character that made you a bit unsure about his/her gender, or a character that looked old only to find out later that he had the stamina and the body that young men would die for, or a character that looked like a child but that in reality said “child” had lived for many years. Well this is a thread to talk about those kinds of “mysteries” of the manga/anime world, those mysteries that remind us to not judge a book by its cover. ;)
Rules:
1) Post a pic or a link to a pic of the character(s) you’ll talk about.
1) Please post the explanation of why those characters are not what they seem inside a spoiler box to prevent spoiling other MH members that haven’t read or watched the series (where the characters come from) yet and don't want to be spoiled.
Here’s my first contribution to this thread ^_^:
Is this a girl or a boy?

[Koenma] is the son of spirit realm ruler King Enma, and the one who takes responsibility of his father's work when he's away. Koenma usually appears as a toddler with a pacifier in his mouth, though he is said to be at least 700 years old. He can also transform into a young adult form, retaining his pacifier and the letters "Jr" on his forehead. (-Wikipedia)

Who is this man?
http://i56.tinypic.com/jzd6ya.jpg
Honestly I'm not too sure myself. XD There are several instances where Sebastian indirectly refers to himself as a demon; later we find out that he and Ciel are bound by a demonic contract. "Sebastian" is actually the name of Ciel's old dog so the butler's true identity is unknown. What's perhaps the eeriest is that he's identical in appearance to Ciel's father.
So who or what is Sebastian? Although we have some hints, not much is known about him right now.
I've only read the manga so if anything else is mentioned in the anime, please chime in!

:) Guess the (real) age of these characters:
http://i788.photobucket.com/albums/y...ney-senpai.jpg
Mitsukuni Haninozuka "Honey" from Ouran HIgh School Host Club real age is 17 at the start of the series. He is a senpai like Mori, of the host members -Tamaki, Kyoya, Haruhi, Hikaru and Kaoru.
His appearance brings more childish look because He always carries around a plush bunny named
Usa-chan and loves cute things & sweets.
His birthday is February 29, and the mangaka of the series made a joke that he only ages every 4 years due to his birthday only coming once every 4 years.

Chibiusa, also known as
Sailor Chibi Moon is the daughter of Usagi Tsukino (SailorMoon) and Mamoru Chiba (Tuxedo Mask). At first glance, she might look 8-10 years of age but her true age is around 900+ (in manga).
In Act 20 of the manga, it's mentioned that she is 900 years old, her youthful appearance attributed to the fact that she suddenly stopped growing when she was five. The reason for this is never fully understood, but she begins to age after she becomes Sailor Chibi Moon. By the time of the Dream story arc, she claims to be 902. Her exact age was not disclosed in the anime, and her time traveling complicates guessing. The candles on a birthday cake in one memory indicate that she is about five years old when first introduced, and she seems to be 8 or 9 years old when she returns later on. Exposure to the Silver Crystal renders all of Crystal Tokyo's inhabitants functially immortal.

Reborn and other Arcobaleno.

The Arcobaleno ("Rainbow" in Italian) is a group made up of the seven strongest infants, who each possess a pacifier that represent the different colors of the rainbow, with each color corresponding with their Dying Will Flame. Their Pacifiers will glow when a member is near another Arcobaleno. The Arcobaleno were transformed from adults into their infant and current forms; in Lal's flashback of the day it is revealed that they were all turned into babies and all seven of the Arcobaleno are shown at least once in their adult forms (Colonnello is not part of the original seven). Each of them has their own unique "curse" and specific abilities, as well as the ability to emit the Dying Will Flame throughout their entire body. They are mentioned to have sacrificed themselves in order to protect the Tri-Ni-Set (7³), or "ultimate power". The Arcobaleno are also mentioned to be "walking out of time" meaning that they cannot age or die due to old age. It is evident as Yuni calls Reborn "Uncle," meaning that Reborn has lived through the generation from Luce to Yuni.

She is a

Who is this bishonen?
Nope, he's not a new character. He's
Himekawa from
Beelzebub! It's too bad he's fond of his furyou (delinquent) style. :p

Do you thinks these girls are cute? What about this second group of girls? Do you think they are cute too? If you answered with a yes then please click the spoiler tag below.
The second group of “girls” is a group of boys!!
http://planetsmilies.net/kaos-animal...miley-6086.gif They are the boys of the anime Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu Ni. They are dressed as girls because that was their punishment for upsetting the cute girls from the first group/pic.
