oh yeah i forgot to answer that. well i don't have a favorite char, the strong point of One piece if the cast. No one is annoying, they're all awesome in their way and if one of the SH where to go missing something would feel wrong. But if i were to choose a favorite i would pick one piece
As for how i discovered one piece, i still remember as if it was yesterday. I went to visit a friend and he was watching the TV. One piece starting, it was the first arc, the opening made me laugh already. Seeing that guy (sanji) using a powermove (breakdance) to kick his opponent made me laugh hard so i asked to my friend what was that anime. then the episode started, it was the part on Usopp island, you know Captain Kuro and the cat pirates. I used to draw a lot of skullhead before, so i found it really inspiring and funny when i saw the cat pirate flag and the straw hat flag. And the cream of the crop was Jango coming out of his cabin doing the moonwalk. As an Michael Jackson fan that was instant love with one piece. started to watch it everyday from that point

heh the problem with monthly manga, the release are so slow that you forget what was going on whenever there is a new chapter. I'd rather catch up once every year than to read bit by bit every month. it's like eating and waiting 30mn between every bit

do you speak french? as for french canadian yeah it took me a while to get used to it. But the accent ain't really strong at montreal, it's when you meet people from the town around montreal that its really awkward. Also had to learn some expression like "ostie de tabarnak" :verily
