Coming next?

Ok, so for manga readers, we know what's coming next.

But for the anime. What will be coming next?

Useless fillers? A 3 month break? Cover stories as fillers?

Of all those, I like the last. We've got a lot of Cover story material to cover.

What did Ace do when he left Luffy in Arabasta, Gedaf or whatever the guy's name, Enel's priest that fell to Blue Sea, Enel himself, maybe even the story about Hachin and when he met Caimie, CP9 as well.

This could cover for 2 monts of anime @ least. 2 episodes each cover story and then we can start again after the timeskip. That would give some nice time for the manga to go on ahead. I mean, we're basically near half of the war, I don't think that the anime will even get to the time skip this year, nor the end of the war.

The encircling wall will just now be upped, we still got a lot of stuff that'll happen after that.

What do you guys think?

I hope they remake some Arcs, without Fillerszenes and so. But unfortunaly that not going happened >.>

You know, it would be really great to see the adventures of Enel and CP9 from Cover sories.:) It will be deffinetly a decent during a time skip. It would be also good to see some old characters.;)
Also it would be better to see them than some fillers with crappy villains.:)

Last year, they had a break of four weeks in the Impel Down arc for promoting the Strong World movie. So... AFAIR Oda wants to do such a movie every second year, so I expect both Toei and Fuji to create such specials to fill the timeskip.

Today's episode 473 is chapter 564.

The timeskip occurs between chapters 597 and 598, so if Toei isn't stretching the episodes beyond one chapter per episode or going up to two chapters per episode there still have 33 episodes to come which means at least 35 weeks (break during christmas and new year's eve this year). So in June/July 2011 there's the TS coming to the TV show... Maybe the movie is finished until then.

Isn't Movie 11 about the war? A remake of it, but in 3D animation and better scenes, music, and all of that?

I know there's still a lot to cover, but still, how will they handle the time skip is what's bothering me. I know it'll just happen next year, but I wanted to know what people think about this.

I'm only hoping that they'll use cover stories or something else, but manga vased. I don't want to see some fillers even if they justify some movies.

One Piece Movie 11 ist not coming next year. because Oda wanted to make ervery 2 year an OP Movie.

I suspect that after they finish with the Marineford arc, they will continue to flesh out the "What are the other Strawhats up to" stories. For example, how did Chopper bring peace to the island he landed on? That should be a good 4 to 8 episodes depending on if they use half an episode or an entire episode for each character. Whether it is before or after the Sabo Flashback arc, I don't know and it will probably include the Strawhats reading the exploits of Luffy and deciding to go see Luffy and immediately coming back after reading the next newspaper.

I just hope they do a 4/5 months filler, so that they can stop this crappy pace :)

I AGREE 1 chapter per episode is really slow

So does anyone think that Toei is going to make a One Piece Z? I mean, make the second half after the time-skip an altogether different series? To me it seems pretty likely that they'll do something like that, hopefully with a long enough break between series.

It'll be named "One Piece: New world" or something.
At least from what I hope.
I don't think they'll be animating the cover stories, it's already past the timeline and they have no real relation to the plot, at least not yet.
However, there's a chance Hachi's one may be done. We'll never know.
But if they go with OP Z , I doubt there will be any fillers after the arc.

or they can make Sabo, Luffy and Ace hunting down 7 dragon balls to past time :D..as filler.

Most of the cover stories related to the plot (as far as we know) are obsolete. Maybe Enel one could be interesting given the Green Databook information but it has only interest if they do it before we see him return in the main plot and they didn't do it for Hacchi.

what would be great is if oda gave us a another chapter 0 where it was a flashback of rogers growning up and the early stages of the rogers pirates before he became the PK

Possibly a month break or something. I'm sure we'll see the second part of the "SH's whereabouts" and Luffy's past before the curtain falls....it's been such a long journey for all of us. :crying

I wouldn't mind seeing a filler arc as long as it's got a decent storyline/plot. Something on par or as close to the G-8 Filler Arc would be great. Chances of that actually happening are slim imo. Anyway...I can see a break for sure in the anime after we're done with the Marineford War Arc. xD
