I'm in. Are we going to play only by the basic rules (only scum and townies) or are there going to be special roles (cop, doc,...)?
The very basics in first game that is. We didn't expect that many ppl to join tbh, but if there's a growing interest we may install some extra roles (doctors, cops etc) in further games. gonn see where this is going..
The rules are very simple, that's why I suggest we add a few roles (cop, docter, etc.) to make it more exciting. Having just a large group of worthless townies are boring and the mafia gets to have all the fun. I vote for more characters for the first round since these games might take a long time to progress.
We have 11 players right now. means, 3 mafia members and 8 townies. I agree with you. A cop and a doctor could be installed in this first round already.
For that we should explain what special about these two figures, or is that clear for everyone already?
Cop: Can 'investigate' one person per night. = askes mod what type of player [user] is.
Doctor: Can save one person per day.
We have enough people, 2 hours from now will mark 1 day passing from thread creation. If members don't visit the FF that often then they wouldn't make interactive players to begin with, that's why I say the game should start today at least. Happy face happy face!
I will edit the new roles into the first post then. After the first game people should come up with other suggestions for stuff like themes, other rules etc.

@Imperium. You sure that Doc can save one by night? I was thinking he can interfere by day, not night. :darn He cannot know who the mafia is targeting at night, so it doesn't make any sense to me.
Yea, its a night phase. They protect a person they wish from a potential mafia hit.
Game Started few Mins ago.
For those who hasn't subscribed to the Game Thread yet.
Next game we will install a special Mafia Position. 'The Mastermind'. His speciality is to be immune to the Towni Cop's investigations. He will appear not as a Mafia Member but a Townie to him.
And if anyone has any other role suggestions, do tell (or theme suggestions or potential RPG) :shakefist
In the movies they ask a person some Final Words before getting executed. Well we should have the same thing here except it happens after they are killed, a message from the afterlife. It will be just 140 characters or less. A brief statement on hunches or vibes from a fellow player.
Example: I was killed by the mafia or lynched by the townies I could say.
I never had a good feeling from Imperium from the start, A_I seems to be honest.
Stuff like that, no actual proof or facts, just a final goodbye statement from the game.
That would be a good idea and should be easily implemented in this version as well. Im for it.
About the voting IN the thread..
This is too risky, you can vote and the thread might not end for another 20 hours.
Why don't we just do everything through PM, and the Moderator juts posts the votes at the end of the Day/Night phase, with the who-voted-for-who together?
