I like Einar the most. I can't really explain it very well, it simply is like that...
Askeladd. Not just my favorite and IMO best written character in Vinland saga but one of the most astounding complex characters in any manga I've read. The infinite amount of emotions he is able to draw from the reader is incredible. His tactical knowledge, keen observation skills, and calm demeanor with a touch of humor is offset by the pure rage lying underneathe the surface.
As a warrior he is not blessed with godlike strength like Thorkell or blazing speed like Thorfinn...only a superior intellect. Which allows him to be superior to the both of them. A mere son of a slave who can outwit kings. Shame he had to die, but what a way to go.
