Last three episodes were simply awesome. Anime has improved a lot, and I think it is much more true to manga than before. The absence of everyone's favorite reporter helps a lot as well:)
well, this manga is more or less a good 1 but i must have to say the anime sucked for me.even though most of the VAs are great ones for some reason they dont seem to jell and bring out the characters unique points for me and they sound annoying.and the narrator is the most annoying 1. they should not have try to make it like OP.writing of the manga material got better but not to the point where you can say good enough.(the best anime arc that actually had some merit was mellow cola 1.that could be because they actually found 1 VA that might be suitable to the character zebra.though they sucked in his overall drawing.) animation is also below par when compared to other WSJ manga adaptaitons or Toei Animations other productions. i think toriko anime started to early for every1 involved. overall i couldnt find 1 good point to praise.
I have caught up with the current episodes and I would say that Mellow Cola Arc and the episode with Nitro's revelation weren't bad. They were actually quite good, at least for me.
And now we are getting a new Arc which is centered around capturing Shining Gurami. It's really interesting to see how they will make it in anime as it might be that everyone has a different view on how it should look.;)

Sometimes they have to put fiilers, otherwise we would get too fast to the current events and that would be a problem.:)
Still, I enjoyed Shining Gurami Arc in the anime. Especially it was great to see the actual ingridient and also to see Chin Chin already in a better way, than he was shown in the manga.:)
^^^Looks like you beat me to it. lol! In the manga the mystery guy at the end had a tall hat and was a little slimmer: Chapter 155 last page. In the anime, the shadowy figure at the end is clearly Chin Chin. Im kinda happy that was cleared up.
i just reread some of the past chapter, i don't know why i think Rikiya Koyama would suited for Lifebearer voice seing his performance in Kingdom anime as one of the general.
Do we have titles for the future month's episode so we could know if there is one filler episode or many?
