When you say you watched the FMA anime, was it the 2004 one or the 2009/2010 Brotherhood one? If you've only watched the 2004 one, I highly, highly, highly recommend that you watch Brotherhood, or read the manga! It's made of awesome, pure, undiluted epic win :zomg

In manga, there are never fillers. I can read a series, bleach for example in one week, but watching all of bleach episodes would take up at least one month
