Sounds like Holyland, though it isn't a oneshot. If not that, then I don't know.

Nah, not Holyland. It was about a legendary fighter who had disappeared for years. This girl is now one of the best fighters. A new student comes and he seems really weak (nerdy). Then the guy reveals that he is the legendary fighter... I'm pretty sure this is a real series and I didn't dream it up... >.<
ok, i'll tell you what i think of them once i get to them :P
Is it "13"?
I think i know this one... Shin Angyo Onshi. I was trying to remember that crappy 2 episode anime that was released for it.
I knew it was completed quite some time ago. Very good manga.
Xblade? The blond girl was actually a guy.
But it feels like there is another manga similar to it...
Yeah that's the manga, they also had a 26 episode anime as well. I've never seen the manga of it though.
They finished translating it at One Manga. 296 chapters.
Hmm, I may remember it, but I gotta see if it's the right one. I think the company that published it went out of business.
I just want to verify, he's training in the arts of kung fu. He sees someone doing the technique then he tries to copy it. I remember the master trying to teach the guy how to cut the moon in the water. He does it by watching a swallow glide through the water cutting the moon and he practices hard to create a punch that cuts the water.
It like has 3 words in it's title. If I'm lucky, I think old anime sites would still have it in their inventory, which I'm trying to search right now.
Can't find it from two shops I visited. This is going to haunt me for a while...
Hmm, I really don't know... it could be Kung Fu Boy (with a generic name like that it would be pretty difficult to figure out who the publisher of the US series was, but I'll look into it).
English publisher is Bloomsbury - Ironfist Chinmi
This is the series, is has everything that was mentioned:
- cut up a tree trunk and turn it into chopsticks with his hand -
- he meditated and the cave rock cracked which freed him (actually he break it)
- I think he was maybe a monk...
- He does it by watching a swallow glide through the water cutting the moon and he practices hard to create a punch that cuts the water

Yeah, I remember the publisher going out of business, but yes it was the one. I guess it's been THAT long that I don't recognize the artwork anymore.
It was a great series from when I remember when reading it as a child.
Good work, Unok.
Does anyone know where i can found the full scan of this Jump Anime Comics???

Nah, it wasn't 13 either...sigh. I don't know if I'm ever going to find it. He either had a tattoo on his back or he wore a shirt with something on his back. Its always covered though.
