Why should Dragon Ball Z be a sports manga? It's about fighting. Then Naruto also would be a sports manga because they fight, too..... :notrust
A sports manga is a manga which deals with SPORT - it can be a fighting sport like boxing or judo or karate or whatever - but not fighting in general. That's no certain sport.
ok i got a huge amount of eyeshield but can only read in small doses
For me,Eyeshield 21is the best..:)
Currently, for me it's Whistle! And that's because I really haven't read any other sports mangas. But I'm going to try to read Eyeshield 21 this weekend (and maybe sometime after that, Hajime no Ippo, since I've heard good things about it), so we'll see if I like it better or not.
POKEMON, gotta catch them all. Yes it is a sport because if it was real u kno it would be on espn
Nope, not a sport because it's not an existing sport and it isn't called a sport in the series. =p[br]Posted at: March 30, 2006, 07:45:07 PM_________________________________________________And it seems I won't read Eyeshield 21 yet, seen as there appears to be a massive break in the series (something like chapters 90-167).Quote:

That's an honest answer! :D Could you tell us why you don't like them or what you don't like especially?Quote:

Slam Dunk and Hajime no Ippo>>all other sports manga. I love the pace, characters, action, comedy and epic fights/games that both these manga have
100% agree. Someone once told me that Ashita no Joe was the sports manga to end all manga, since it was the one that started it all, but it's really hard to find so I was never able to read it.Quote:

I'm just too sad that SlamDunk ended. I have hoped for a 2nd story arc. :eyeroll
Of Ashita no Joe I've never heard I must admit.
I have also known that some people say that ashita no joe is damn good but scanlations are up to chapter 24 and i doubt it is ever getting licensed. I would scan it but im tired of going on wild goose chases for translators. It is like if it isnt a jump manga then i cant find anyone ever
Well Hajime no Ippo and Eyeshield are the best sports manga I've read up till now. I still need to read more of Slam Dunk tho, I liked what I read so far.
