And I can actually see where you're coming from, I thought it would be something like this. Well I'm not sure but your mother killing herself obviously will lead to a lot of pain. Take into account that he wanted to make friends and thus ignored what she said. If he could have saved her is up to speculation but ofc you will feel guilty.

Ah, I don't blame the character, I blame the author who puts him into that situation :p. I had an experience being Suwa, and my personal story does not end as sweet as him :p, and probably that's also the main reason why I'm leaned towards Suwa heavily.
