Isn´t the same thread as these thread ?
Pretty much, the only difference being that this thread was made in the Hunter x Hunter section. A mod might need to merge both threads together.
GUNNM. I want a proper Gunnm and/or Gunnm: Last Order anime. There were the two short OVAs, which weren't that bad but not too good either. But I want a proper series. With modern animation I think the world of the series would look just incredible and the battles just epic. And there is a commercial succes possibility too. Gunnm does have a cult following inthe U.S. and if James Cameron eventually keeps his promise and directs Battle Angel that'll just boost the hype. Though, as things seem like now it's like another 10 years before he even starts planning it.... Just come one Mr. Cameron. Abadon that could awfull Avatar and give us Alita!
I say no to a YYH remake. The anime was perfect, zero filler, top notch pacing and ended better than the manga did. Plus with Blu Rays out for it, there's absolutely no need to do it again. Rurouni Kenshin I;d say yes to since the anime did make a lot of changes to the earlier parts of the series not to mention the final arc being unanimated.
One series I could definently see it happening for is Shaman King. I did like the first anime but it did go off on it;s own path on the end. Plus with the true ending to the series finally written, and the Flowers spinoff running in Jump X it would seem like the next logical thing for JUMP to revive since it could help boost popularity for the latter.
Ao no Exorcist could do with a reboot. I actually liked the anime. Sure the filler content wasn't exactly strong in terms of storytelling and the ending was pretty "meh", but I really liked how the anime adapted the manga chapters, the animation as well as the cool soundtrack. Still, the anime only covered very little of the manga. A lot of people have compared the series with Fullmetal Alchemist, so it would make sense to make another anime which will actually follow the manga's story until the end.
Well it sort of tried wrapping up the plot, but at the same time it was kind of open-ended. I think that if there's going to be a sequel then it will most likely be filler (like Kuroshitsuji II). A movie has also been announced, though I'm not if it's a sequel or one of those films that try to fit all of the anime in it.
Who Here believes that they need to remake Hana Yori Dango? I've always loved that anime as well as manga, but the anime feels so outdated if you watch it now.....as well as skip beat --> they need a season 2 already, as well as a remake lol
Some time in the distant future, I'd like to see DBZ Kai style remake of Naruto, Bleach and One Piece. Basically tighten up the story and Fate/Zero level of animation.
^ This really needs to happen. I can't see the series getting remade with new animation though. I'd be satisfied so long as they'd fix any scene that's got particularly bad animation (such as a certain few scenes in Naruto Shippuuden).
If Ono Fuyumi decides to finally release another book in the Twelve Kingdoms/Jyuunikokuki series, they should reboot the anime to interest the public again. I'm not sure if it's still popular, but I reckon that fans have long forgotten about it by now.
They should at least adapt Shushou's backstory (Tonan no Tsubasa). She's my favourite character so I was mad when the anime didn't cover her.
I would really love to see slam dunk and soul eater again. The soul eater anime was so disappointing IMHO.
The SE anime was very well done in my opinion O_o I guess you're talking about the filler ending - which was pretty good for a filler one though. Wouldn't mind a remake if they stay true to the story until the end but there are a lot of other series where the anime adaption was way worse.
