After reading chapter 2 of Pajama na Kanojo, I think this series is more like Midori no Hibi than Baka to Boin.

Again, not exactly a ringing endorsement but I'll read chapter two anyway :p

As long as Pajakano is not one big metaphor for fapping I'm cool with any similarities to Midori Days.

Since Kochikame has never missed an issue add all of those up and you get 1731. Now, Kochikame had 2 chapters in Issue 51 of 2011. If they were both numbered this equates to 1732 chapters. Again, I cross referenced this information with issues in 2010/2011 with the names that were assigned to chapter numbers in the tanks (since they are not numbered in the issues). Those issues are in storage otherwise I would attempt to do this again. The most recent issue I have is 48 from 2011 (the next newest not in storage is from 2008) with a title of ポリスアニマルランドの巻き　(Police animal land something...). Wikipedia used to have the tanks list chapter names and numbers but they have since updated it to only include volume names and numbers, so I'm not able to do exactly what I did before, plus I don't think chapter 1718 is in tank form anyway. I'm not sure why the chapter numbers are that far off, but I know I will be keeping my chapter record the way I have it currently, with chapter 1732 corresponding with Issue 12 from 2012. :)

You're absolutely right. Your chapter record matches exactly with this website , chapter 1732 was published on Issue 12 (2012) and chapter 1733 was published on Issue 13 (2012).
In total they are 1740 chapters, one of them is chapter 0 and the other six are specials chapters and because of that they don't count. According to Weekly Jump issue 22 (2011) Kochikame reached 1700 chapters, but in fact that was chapter 1693.

They actual aren't my predictions, but are the order that the series' are placed by the editorial staff in the little box in the preview page.

Sometimes they are placed in the order of the TOC, sometimes they are placed really close to the order of the TOC and other times they are just in any random order.

The last few weeks have shown the match up or have matched up closely to the TOC.

Issue 15 Bottom Five:

• Kochikame
• Mago
• Kuroko
• Stars
• HxH

Issue 16 Preview:

• One piece (cover and lead)
• Mago, reborn (color)
• Toriko (absent)
• HxH (new arc begins)

I suppose HxH will be with us a while longer. Two series in this weeks bottom five that will likely never be canceled with Kochikame and HxH both so low.
