I thought the same thing too. I think its because they didn't realize how popular Furuichi isdespite the doctor-nurse episode. Once they did, they included him in the openings fairly quickly. :hee
I guess its kinda fitting that he doesn't appear give his status as Butt Monkey. :P

So because the demon "accepted" Furuichi as a summoner, do you think Furuichi has the potential to be strong? Like, if the tissue demon decides he's OK with forming a contract with Furuichi, could he do it? :derp
I wouldn't like Furuichi being strong. I mean, it would be good if he has some crazy skill but only as a supporter. His role is to be the only lame guy around badass people, the respected right hand man of the strongest guy in Ishiyama. Furuichi is good as a farse, in my opinion. That is his peculiarity. If he gets stronger, he will be just one more number.
The plot now is good for him to recognized as a badass guy again by non-Ishiyama students since it seems his credibility has crashed.
I agree. I'm hoping that this will push Furuichi into being much more assertive, if that makes sense. Or that somehow, he triggers something that starts a new arc.
But deep down inside, I want this arc to cause other characters to respect him a bit more, Oga too. *is sentimental*

Furuichi does deserve at least a little more respect. I'm tired of him being on the bad end of every joke.
Whatever end he is on, he is just an epic character. To me he is one of the best support character.
I don't think he really has the potential to be as strong. I mean, if you take away the tissues, he'll get pulverized if his enemy attacks him before he has a chance to react. The only thing he can depend on are the tissues. Otherwise even with it, he's just another character more powerful than most humans.Quote:

I partially agree with this. If Furuichi's power is short lived, and makes him gain some respect, I don't mind that. But If the tissue power somehow become permanent, I think I'll get annoyed by that too. Furuichi's charm lies on his misfortune, I guess.Quote:
