Well, I've thought these political buddies were always hand in hand, but looks are deceiving apparently. I suppose with politicians, its a given that you cant always look at the guy smiling at you and shaking your hand as a friend or ally. He might be just saying the opposite behind your back.

I already knew it. I don't like very much that these prime ministers,kings ecc. travel around the world just to meet someone else,it's just a waste of money and makes a lot of pollution! about what sarkozy said?I agree with him,I can't stand netanyahu as well.

Political meetings are very strict in terms of protocol, so basically if you are witnessing a meeting or a press conference, you are basically looking at a scripted movie...so it's not surprising....such remarks even if they are no official will definitely can be used as leverage, so Sarkozy was just stupid in expressing his opinions in front of cameras...I'm not even sure if the cameras working were a mistake:p

Sarkozy is the famous author of "casse toi pauv' con" which one could translate by "fuck off, asshole" during a trip in front of 10th of cameras (note how he continues smiling like nothing happens while he say it...)

Anyways...unfortunately, Sarkozy is still a little player when concerning these outbursts-_-;...he just has more coverage and a more significant international status, than our president....which makes it worse btw

I've only really had one reaction to this situation each time I hear about it on tv or the internet. I lol'd. Sarkozy should clearly be more careful in front of cameras but I doubt anything major will come of this.

I believe that Sarkozy failed to complete one course which is compulsory in political science: international relations ( I'm specifically referring to the course which includes public diplomacy and strategic networking)...I wonder how he graduated -_-;....

If there was such a time, then it was very long ago...the time when politicians were educated and they had covered some grounds in political science....that's not the way to rise to power these days:(

I guess we are speaking the same language: sarcasm :) ....anyway, I've read that he graduated law and then followed a political science programme (not that long ago though)....if we are going to analyze the situation from your perspective, then we could conclude that the French educational system is bottom low and Sarcozy pulled some evil schemes to become president....I wonder how he did it :cheez. I think you all underestimate him. He may have not made brilliant studies but even if I don't like the man, I can't deny he is very clever. He knows perfectly well his job as a politician and he didn't become president out of the blue.

It is not a matter of underestimation. I agree that he is a clever man; however, he lacks diplomatic skills and self control...As a politician, he should rationalize and avoid to act on instinct.

All our lasts presidents reacted on instinct.
I would say that nowadays, with the speed of communication increasing, where you always have to react to the last news, only politician with good instinct can survive.

It wasn't just a coincidence when I mentioned education, and I wasn't referring just to an amount of knowledge...proper education involves manner as well, and it should influence personality...lack of manners as provided by Sarkozy screams lack of education

Benelori, what do you mean lack of education ? Achieve college even if with not top notch grade is already better than lots of people. If it is politeness, I would say his behaviour and way of speaking is also half way made to attract popular electors. It's not well seen to be too elitist in France.
