Fairy Tail: The Movie

Just like the Big 3 subforums, I'm gonna make the Movie thread separate.

This thread will be used for discussions related to the Fairy Tail's very first Movie. Post your thoughts, hopes and anything else related to the movie here.

So, Mashima's gonna be writing it, huh?? well it sure would be excellent. And we won't have that "canon or non-canon" debate like the Big 3 does. And if the promotional poster is any indication, I guess any NaLu moment would be somewhat canon :p.

Anyways, discuss away people!!

EDIT: I just realized this will be A-1's second movie after "Welcome to the space show!!" I'm interested to see how they'll produce a movie from a series that is a serious contender against the Big 3.

I'm glad FT is having it's first movie. Considering it's popularity, it was only a matter of time.

The news is awesome. I'm also looking forward to it. However, the movie will be out in august 2012 and it will be subbed in 2013 :arf.

Interesting tidbit. I bet a-1 never saw this coming seeing how they intended to end the anime after luxus arc :p

So here's an unnamed Movie Original Character, Natsu, Lucy and what looks like a Dragon.
Look awesome. But somehow, the outfits and such, kinda makes me think about

Charles vision in the recents chapters of the manga. A connection maybe? doubt it, tho

On a slightly related note, does anybody think it's interesting that the mangakas of OP, Naruto & FT are all going to be heavily involved in each of their respective movie adaptations of their mangas this year? 'cuz I find it too weird for a coincidence LOL :p.

This year will be a battle between the 3 on the big screens. since I know OP will take the no.1 spot, I'll just ignore that :noworry. But what I'm more interested in is Naruto vs FT. These two movies will be released at around the same time as each other, which is summer. So I'm interested to see how well they'll do against each other. Especially with their respective mangakas working on the story itself. That factor alone will likely turn up quite a lot of viewers. It also pits their writing against each other.

The clothing that Natsu is wearing in the teaser and promo pictures indicate that this movie (although most likely non-canon) takes place Post-timeskip.
Instead of the sleeveless vest he has the one sleeved jacket.

Seems like there will be a 30 page Comic drawn by Mashima Hiro himself in relation to the movie. My Japanese isn't very good but that's what the latest chapter looked like ti was saying to me. The only other thing I could deduce was the brown haired girl has a chick named Momon.
