So went to a pub with goldb a couple of days ago.
Drank, Blue Monkey Guerrilla. It was nice really dark stout, quite strong however. I also had a black country pig on the wall, which was a local ale. I had two other largers as well, which I am unable to find the name from on the website (and cant remember it!).

Dogfish Head Noble Rot - Was pleasantly surprised by this one. Spicy and not too sweet. Apparently it's brewed with grape must or something. It sort of has a white wine character to it, but still manages to have a nice, tart, dry finish to it. Definitely recommended.

Dogfish Head Positive Contact - This one is unique. A witbier brewed with apple cider. Don't ask me. Usually this style will go for citrus/orange flavor to balance the coriander-type spice. Instead this uses Fuji apples, cilantro, and cayenne pepper. I know what you're probably thinking...weird right? But it tastes fantastic. You wouldn't believe this beer is 9% ABV because the alcohol is really hidden well. After finishing the 750ml bottle I sort of have that warm feeling, but it's really easy to drink. Goes down smooth, nice carbonation. Definitely recommended if you like Belgian whites. Even if you don't, it's worth trying as it's different than most that I've had. It's my favorite from my recent run of Dogfish Head bottles.
I also got a bottle of Theobroma, but I honestly didn't like it all that much. Let my brother finish it since he recommended it.

That's because they're probably watered down. Any of the really popular brands aren't of quality. It's because they use adjunct malt and cheap ingredients. The stuff is drinkable, but I can't honestly say the experience is representative of REAL beer. Try to find some Dogfish Head. It's a brewery in Delaware.Quote:

Yeah, it's a local brewery. Just go on here to look at their beers. Has to be easy to find their beer in Philly and it isn't stupidly expensive.Quote:
