Pysren got boring as hell, honestly. Beelzebub is a completely different thing. I hated Psyren since volume 3
I loved this chapter and i'm not sad at all for the end of the arc.
I know that the author just messes up with the "fights" since Oda growed wings. I don't expect anything serious from it. Most of the time will be comic relief and this chapter was a fine example.
This is a gag manga with gag battles, if you see it that way, you will not be dissapointed as i was until one point.
Well, while it's true that I'm fine with the chapter we had, I must admit that the author managed to build up quite the tension there... I understand it might seem a waste not to take advantage of that. I liked the chapter, but I believe this one time Tamura-sensei could have delivered a truly epic chapter (maybe even 2 or 3) if he only.... you know... had given it an actual try!
Its interesting to see other people bring up Gintama for comparison, seeing how both manga are of the comedy/action genre. But as for what the right balance is between humor and battles, I guess this is something the author is really unsure about. Hopefully in the upcoming chapters he'll find that balance and we'll call it a day. Don't think if it as wasted potential, think of it as potential that the mangaka will use the next time Oga will have to confront demons (which will definitely happen!),
What do you guys think will happen now? Baby Beel is teething, does that mean he might start talking? Is En going to go back to the demon world, or will the next arc focus on getting him a suitable contractor (finally)? The most troubling thing right now is that En gets clingy very quickly, so if Oga is too friendly with him, he might not want a contractor.
I already have a very horrible, terrible inkling on what will happen to Behemoth's army if they can't use Yolda....they might just join St. Ishiyama as well. xD Think of Mr. Takahashi's job!
Well well... I don't think Beerubo's teething can possibly have anything to do with his ability to speak. Speech is an acquired behavior, that little has to do with physical development. So rest assured: we won't be hearing Beel talking anytime soon (I'd hate if he actually started to talk since I'm in love with his catchy "DAH!")
As a battle manga chapter, it is really disappointing. As a parody of battle manga it's more satisfying but not entirely sufficient to get rid of the rush feeling
I would agree with Teeba, the mangaka as yet to find which place takes the action part. The comedy is here and it's refreshing as it is situation gags, really different fron sket dance and gintama which are more parodic and absurd.
Hopefully this arc will be a little more climactic in the anime, maybe with some filler of Kuneida's fight and also the fights of the Red tails, Kanzaki, Six Horsemen etc ...
