Mangastream host jump scans again!!
A pretty good news to share about mangastream hosting scans of jump series again:
Source: Twitter MS account https://twitter.com/#!/mangastream/s...873728/photo/1
I would like them to bringing back their forum
(Sorry for grammar mistake in title: hosts*)
Re: Mangastream host jump scans again!!
Yay is all i can say right now :blai . I'm really happy . I miss their clean scans :smile-big
Re: Mangastream host jump scans again!!
I miss competent translations and supporting a group that works for Mangareader made me feel dirty.
MangaStream to resume scanlating Jump series
The basics, taken directly from their Twitter account:
---
Mangastream will once again resume hosting scans of Jump titles with the following two stipulations attached:
1) Scans will be released no sooner than 4 hours after another group releases it.
2) You will have a 60 hour window to read each scan. After each scan has been on our reader for 60 hours, they will be purged.
---
This is great news for anyone (myself included) who was lamenting the terrible quality of recent scanlations of the Big 3, but surely this is daring Shueisha and/or VIZ to take further action?
Re: MangaStream to resume scanlating Jump series
If I were in their position I wouldn´t dare to make a whole country angry! Bulgaria is now at rest.

Unless you're saying that with any inside knowledge, I'm not sure about that. If it was just the comical bit at the end, sure, but the specific parameters in the first couple paragraphs are too specific to be a joke. If it is a joke, fair enough, but it's a poor one; not because I'd feel misled, but because it just isn't humorous. I suppose we'll know on Wednesday.
Re: MangaStream to resume scanlating Jump series
A bad joke is still just a joke and why do I get the feeling there were two mangastream threads :-_-
Re: Mangastream host jump scans again!!
Well, I suppose it might not be a joke. It's certainly a weird thing to do.
In that case, why not just do volume scanlations...
Re: Mangastream host jump scans again!!
I think they're just really into doing a better scanlation of the weekly magazine release of these series that they'll let it pass even if they aren't actually going to be the first to release.
I, though, get the point of "Let a lesser quality scan of OP,Naruto and Bleach fill all those self-centered reader sites before putting up their scans on their own reader..."-thing. That way, the ones that will be archived will be those other scanlations. But I don't know if Viz will just let this slip off their radar.
Re: Mangastream host jump scans again!!
Well their J-Review had become almost pointless once they started to do the complete translations. I think I would have preferred they continue their old preview and pick up new series but I guess they needed to keep their audience.
