Re: Assassination Classroom by Matsui Yuusei
IMO she'll eventually get an upgrade to an android, but not for a while. She has a good design and everything.
As for the modifications, I know that she can now take her classmates into consideration, but doesn't Korosensei now know how she's going to fire at first? The man is a genius himself, I get the feeling he'll be able to figure out what she figures out and dodge accordingly every time.
Also, I wonder how long it'll take before we learn about all of the classmates? I like the way Matsui handles things, but shouldn't we learn a bit more about who we have before we start adding people? Although I suppose it'd be boring if we had a bunch of chapters in a row that did just that...

I think the android will be the next weapon that they are preparing yet.

And do you think it was ethical the way Korosensei re-programmed her, considering she's an artifical being, or was it un-ethical because he reprogrammed parts of her personality to be more cheerful (could be considered brainwashing)? Artillery-san has a direct link with her developer, and it was great that Korosensei would switch back between calling them her "developer" and calling them her "parents". She is aware that she's supposed to be a student, and at the same time, she's aware she's not really a student and is just a machine designed to kill Korosensei. But even more than that, the fact that Korosensei was able to convince her to do the modifications raises yet another question: Which part was easier to convince: Artillery-san the transfer student or Artillery-san the autonomous killing machine?
I'm guessing Korosensei was a human too, or some sort of, especially after I remember the love story of his. I don't think that Korosensei made some modifications to Arty-san body in order to take advantages over her. Somehow I always believe that besides his action to destroy the moon, Korosensei is not atrocious at all. His motive to modify Arty-san departs from his willingness to help Arty-san so she would easily cooperate with the other classmates. Also, I think we have yet to see whether Arty-san is still uphold her mission to kill Korosensei strictly or not before judging whether Korosensei action is considered as brainwashing or not.

Well, one of the golden rule to stay in JUMP is you have to make episodic story line first before introducing the linear plot. I guess once Matsui feels that the cast is already big enough to move with the linear story line, he would tell us about the the classmates.

Re: Assassination Classroom by Matsui Yuusei
Hmm, how'd we end up with 2 chapters this week? Or have we been a bit behind the raws this whole time?
Well never mind that...the end of 23 looks great. Can't wait for the translation.
Re: Assassination Classroom by Matsui Yuusei
23 is the most current chapter in Japan. Last week's translation took me a bit longer than usual, mostly due to RL craziness.

It's supposed to be a discussion thread, that's why. At least you could give your opinion on the chapter.

The new color spread is a really funny one. It is available in the cover thread in otoku shoten forum.
I didn't realize it's meaning until I zoom the image :-))

Re: Assassination Classroom by Matsui Yuusei
this manga seriously has issues. from the teachers to students...... i like it. but hopefully this will be the start of a long arc against the principal and not the same old student arc. also kuro's hoby of novel was interesting :) i laughed so hard about that lol...
Re: Assassination Classroom by Matsui Yuusei
I'm not sure to understand what is the problem with this manga being episodic so far ? Is that seriously a big issue ? I'm currently enjoying this little acts and I would prefer if the big fishes like the principal are saved for later.
Re: Assassination Classroom by Matsui Yuusei
i have no problem for any manga to be episodic but this manga. i probably cant explain why i feel this way thou... lol. about the principal i just want him to be the 1st real big boss. i also wouldnt like him if he becomes a loveable person. his behaviour is good i want him to stay that way. :)
Re: Assassination Classroom by Matsui Yuusei
Korosensei gives a much better definition for "sensei no bulge" than the manga series ever did. :P
