I reaaaaally love Kirito and Asuna's scene... Somehow I can just forget there was ALO.. but then, that scene with Sugu.. :errr
I have a mixed feeling about second season.. I really want my memory of SAO to be just of SAO (just forget ALO), but second season will also introduce Alicization (can't we just skip GGO?)... :(

It could go either way, Darj. I think that they'll animate the rest of the LN at some point. Surely they will as you can see how profitable and successful SAO and ALO were.
No question. If blu-ray sales are any metric, SAO has been massively popular in Japan. I have little doubt SAO will be made into a long running franchise. The bigger question is when the next season will debut, not if.Quote:

I rather enjoyed the anime series as well! I'm not sure if I'm the only one who felt this way but I often felt sometimes the series was rushed. Having not read the light novel prior to watching the series, I figured it was because they expected us to know what was going on in detail - kind of like when books are made into movies, at times.
